BACTA WORKS CEO & FAMILY MISSING; ADOPTED SON TO INHERIT FORTUNE
by Glup Shitto

Several months have passed since the sudden disappearance of Bacta-Works CEO Nathan Bloodscrawl, his wife, two of their children and other members of the household. Authorities have been unable to locate any trace of the family, who left no clues or witnesses which might lead to their whereabouts.

Only Danithel Bloodscrawl, age 17, remains to pick up the pieces. Adopted by Nathan five years ago, Thel spent his childhood on the planet Khemost, home base of the notorious House Io, a militant anti-Jedi faction led by former Jedi Knight Laertia Io. His father was killed by the Bryn’adul before he was born. His mother, Rebecca Hahn, joined Io to seek revenge on the Jedi and others she believed responsible for the death of her husband and the destruction of her homeworld. But as House Io turned to Sith allies for aid in their crusade, Rebecca would become drawn into a grisly cult.

Tensions between members of House Io eventually exploded into an all out civil war. Young Thel was safely spirited away from Khemost and placed in the care of Nathan Bloodscrawl, a billionaire philanthropist known for his efforts to address the galactic refugee crisis through his company's production of synthetic food and medicine on an unprecedented scale. In the absence of any other heirs, Thel stands to inherit Bacta-Works and the Bloodscrawl fortune, which includes the planet of Kytrand among their substantial holdings.

Thel was reportedly in the Bloodscrawl home when the disappearance took place on the night of August 25. He claims he was asleep in his room and was unaware that anything was amiss until the following morning, when he awoke to find the house empty. In response to rising suspicions over the young man’s possible role in his adopted family’s disappearance, Thel hired the infamous attorney Geramuth Daala as his representative. Daala’s reputation as a highly successful but cutthroat lawyer has people questioning Thel’s motives. When asked by the press why he chose Daala, Thel replied, “Of course I did. I had nothing to do with whatever happened to [the Bloodscrawls]. But whether people believe I’m guilty or not, I want to stay out of prison more than I want to be proven innocent in the eyes of the public.
