MESHUR KANDAR • EMAM KANDAR • YAEL KANDAR
TEMPLE OF THE MANDA, KANDAR ESTATE, TOR VALUM, KESTRI, WILD SPACE
A FAMILY BONDED BY FAITH - A CLAN KANDAR STORY

Clan Kandar, a small family of three. A clan that reputation disproportionately dwarfs its size. By no means the clan is as well known as the legendary Vizsla, Kryze, Rook, and Saxon. Yet, for its age and size, words surely do get around much more intensely when it comes to the Kandar. Whether it be the adventures and exploits of their Alor, the Duros Karjr, Meshur Kandar, the success of their anti-force Forge, or the beautiful yet dangerous kids, the charming Chiss smith, Emam Kandar, and the mysterious Human Chaaj of the Mandokarla, Yael Kandar. However, those stories shy away when compared to the biggest gossip that surrounds the Kryze cadet clan. Their religious beliefs.

From the outside, the Kandar looks just like a slightly more religious than average Mandalorian clan. However, tales travel, no matter how tightly-sealed the clan's estate is, and how loyal and tight-knit the three are. Tales from ex-employees of the Forge, of imperious speeches coming out of the small temple located deep within the forge. Tales from lapsed family friends, of cryptic rooms and curious practices. To separate the tales from the truth, let us join the family in their weekly family prayer, deep inside their compound, in the so-called Temple of the Manda.

The three sit around, holding hands to make somewhat a circle, a triangle if you will. Meshur with his back facing the shrine, which we will discuss later, while Emam and Yael are front-facing the shrine. They moved to this position from their individual 10-minute meditation session, shorter than their 45-minute individual meditation that they have once every two days, during the weekdays. The family sessions are held the first day of the weekend, whenever the whole family happens to be in Kestri. Around the room, we can see dim lights and smell incense. As usual, Meshur leads the session. He opened with a small prayer and speech, which led to the proceeding, where Yael started the show of gratitude.

"Praises be the Almighty, for without the Manda, we are nothing but wild animals, for without the Resol'nare, we are nothing but perverted aruetiis, for without the Manda Ha'rud, we are voyaging this galaxy in darkness. I want to thank the Almighty, praises be Their name, for showing the light on my path. For that I passed one stage of life, the Hibir phase, and entered a new one, as the Chaaj of the Mandokarla. Let me once again bolster my devotion towards the Almighty, and the tribe of Mandalore. If you give Your blessing, I will be the Moon that reflects Your light over the tribe of Mandalore, I will lead the tribe of Mandalore back to our proper place, on top of the galaxy."

The room is cricket silent outside of Yael's gratitude. It is already a common knowledge that this session is not to be interrupted, for any reasons. Communication devices and alarms are turned off and the automated defense system is turnt up to eleven. The three hummed when Yael finished her gratitude, hands squeezes firmer. A face of genuine happiness can be seen on the three, it is a happy day after all. The tight-knit family always supports one another. Love and faith is all they have.

For that I am one step closer to ascension, to earning my mark as a Metalsmith and a Gunsmith. Let me once again bolster my devotion towards the Almighty, and the tribe of Mandalore. If you give Your blessing, I will be the Farm that provides the tribe of Mandalore with sufficient resources it needs to reach our proper place, on top of the galaxy."

Another round of hums from the three as Emam finished his gratitude. The past few years might have been hard for him. He is a good smith, but not as good of a student. It took him sometimes to find the balance between the art side and the pragmatic side of smithing, yet he is getting closer. We can feel that the smell of the incense is getting weaker, as the session is closing to its end. One more to go, Meshur's gratitude.

For that I am blessed with two beautiful, wonderful children, a family bonded by love and faith. Let me once again bolster my devotion towards the Almighty, and the tribe of Mandalore. If you give Your blessing, I will be the Sage that whispers wisdom to ear of the tribe of Mandalore, to help guide the fervent youth that will drive us back to our proper place, on top of the galaxy."

Meshur's gratitude ended as the smell of the incense almost died off. There's a curious atmosphere lingering in the temple. It is best described as a combination between sinister and warm. The speeches are indeed imperious, as the rumors say. Yet, you can feel the love and affections between the three Kandar. It is all deep and genuine, unlike what is said in some tales. The three walk to the shrine, still holding hands, Meshur in the middle. The shrine is small and minimalistic. There are the incense on there, as well as carvings, stone inscriptions, and precious metals. The sides are decorated by small plants, while on top of everything, is a skull of a Terrorbird. The sigil of Clan Kandar. The family surrounded the Shrine, ending their session in prayers, not in common Mando'a, most likely a combination of ancient Mando'a and spirit tongue.

And that is a look at the weekly scheduled Clan Kandar prayer. The young, ambitious clan that is snaking their way to the top of the Enclave.
