The ship Altorius drifted slowly through space, the vast abyss filled with bright stars and dim planets visible through the window of his room. He had no idea where they were now, somewhere in the Tingel Arm still of course but other than that he knew nothing. It was for the better really, it meant that they were harder to find. That had been the intent of these periods of flying without hyperspace, to remain somewhat safe and away from prying eyes. Whether the strategy had worked or not was up for debate.

Not that it would change anytime soon regardless.

Alisteri still sat awake and active in his room of course, almost always too busy to spare a moment of rest. This time though he was doing something more important than simple scheduling or even logistical planning. He was researching. Datapads littered his desk, all of them having been extensively looked through by the Acolyte already. "So much effort...and for what?" His holocron's hollow tone did little to distract him as he finished up reading the report before his eyes, the datapad in his hand soon joining the 'read' pile. "Since when have you been so curious about my little projects?" He muttered in response, shooting the holocron a look as it glowed a slightly brighter red.

"Since you've been glancing this direction for almost five minutes. You clearly have questions, don't waste my time with petty talk."

Ever the charmer. Alisteri narrowed his gaze at the device for a moment before relenting. "Fine. I've been looking into these...Sithspawn creatures. I've heard so little about them, and yet I find them cropping up more and more. Even the information I've retrieved from Sith-Imperial systems only offer vague hints and reports on them." Of course he had no real access to proper records, only being able to scavenge reports here and there from compromised and low-level databases. Picking through the various reports he did have for useful information had been challenging and time consuming, so he had to result to his plan B.

"So...I'm asking for your help."

There was a pause, a moment of silence reigned in the room. It was broken by laughter, a low and almost raspy sound, as the holocron glowed brighter as if mocking him with its light.

"The Acolyte finally admits that he needs guidance from a true Sith, and you say that you aren't a prideful creature." The glare that Alisteri shot at the device did nothing to blunt the harsh tone it gave. "Sithspawn, such frightening implements of war. Crafted from the union between the Dark Side, technology, and raw life itself. All Sithspawn to my knowledge have but one purpose. War."

The Sith gave no response for a few minutes, seeming to be thinking of something. Mostly about how simple Sith designs could prove to be at times. Modifying life is possible...somehow, and they make weapons out of their creations? A frown crossed his face and he idly tapped his mask as it rested on the table to his left. He knew better than to take the holocron's words at face value. It spoke in riddles, even when it was honest. He would need a better source, and a better goal. Perhaps...perhaps this could be used for a better purpose. Perhaps these Sithspawn could be used properly, for a true Sith purpose.

"And tell me..." His gaze returned to the holocron, the red glow reflecting against his yellow eyes. "If one wanted to learn how to make a Sithspawn, where would they go to do it?"
