STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Strengths:

 • Fighter-Fortress: Zrak’s TIE/RBFO is a heavily armed starfighter that possesses the ability to deal serious damage to capital class vessels while also retaining good anti-fighter capabilities. At maximum armament, the craft can carry a load of twelve warheads and four charges of plasma torpedoes.

 • Survivability and Defense: Featuring a robust triple-phase shield system and a Quadranium-reinforced hull, the TIE/RBFO is a resilient craft with the ability to absorb a great deal of punishment without compromising its systems. The shields can absorb ~7 shots from starfighter-grade cannons (slug, maser, laser, energy, kinetic, Etc.) or ~2-3 shots from a low to medium-power capital ship-grade cannon or ~2-3 starfighter-grade missiles and torpedoes (concussion, cluster, Etc.) before failing and needing to execute a recharge sequence. After failure, it takes 8 seconds for the shields to recharge back to full strength.

 • Battlespace Awareness: A powerful sensor suite grants the pilot of the TIE/RBFO superior awareness of their surroundings in a given battlespace. This feature is intended to encourage pilot survivability, especially given the First Order's scarcity of skilled pilots after the invasion of the Ssi-ruuk.

 • Steal system: The Cloaking device allows Zrak’s ship to remain hidden both from visual and most forms of sensors allowing him to bypass ships without having to engage in spatial combat.

 • Weaknesses:

 • Unbalanced Profile: The TIE/RBFO's has an unbalanced physical profile which can presents many inherent difficulties in maneuvering the craft. In atmosphere, the effects of the craft's profile are even more apparent, especially when the shields are not reshaped into a more aerodynamic profile. However, the engineers took care to balance the weight distribution on both sides of the craft in order to minimize issues.

 • Stealth drain: The stealth system further drains the energy to the already power intensive ship. So that even with the upgraded systems it is incapable of applying the stealth system in combat, as the sheilds are almost all down except for environmental protection, and it’s weapons systems and thrusters don’t pack the same energy. It is also incapable of jumping in and out of hyperspace without first disabling the Stealth system.

 • Power-Intensive: The TIE/RBFO is not a suitable craft for extended engagements. The use of solar ionization weaponry saps power faster than it can be absorbed via the solar collection arrays. As such, typical engagements that last longer than around 2 hours or that involve heavy usage of the solar ionization cannons put the pilot at risk of the craft going into hibernation mode to conserve energy and recharge power. Fortunately, the pilot can track power levels through the HUD.

 • Stealth weakness: The ship can still be detected by gravity sensors, and is incapable of functioning in extreme conditions.
Description: After the invasion of the Ssi-ruuk, the First Order found itself with a significantly depleted number of trained starfighter pilots and very limited means to train new ones. In response to this crisis, the First Order created a new starfighter which factored pilot survivability heavily into its design. To that end, the fighter features a triple-phase shielding system, a hyperdrive, and a potent sensor suite. In order to fulfill it's role as a heavy starfighter, the TIE/RBFO features a universal warhead launcher which can be fitted to fire different kinds of warheads depending upon the needs of the mission. It is also one of the first First Order starfighters to utilize solar ionization cannons, granting the fighter the ability to bypass energy shielding with its main gun.

This ship had to be altered for Zrak Ren, who is far more lacking in combat piloting skills. As a result, it was given a much superior hyperdrive and a Stealth system. These allow him to get his ship in or out of battle more efficiently rather then increasing it’s battle ability. While it was given a better energy system, this only extends it’s battle time potential by an hour. And it’s stealth system prevents it’s systems from operating at full capacity, including the hyperdrive which won’t function unless the stealth is deactivated beforehand. And a personal security code to make absolutely certain nobody stole it. Aside from this, nothing else was changed, giving him almost no change in battle application but a somewhat longer battle time and possible surprise attack, just somewhat more convenient systems to avoid actually having to battle in the first place.
