Exotic and outdated even by Mahporeem standards, the ZQ Infantry Support Unit was specifically developed to aid Storm Commandos in battle. Deployed in the early years of the Galactic Empire, these droids would eventually be phased out of service for unclear reasons, though the Storm Commandos persisted in using them.
Armed with a variety of blasters and ordinance launchers, the ZQ Infantry Support Unit also came equipped with a total of four hardpoints, allowing it to equip a variety of different weapons, tools and equipment. Its repulsorlift drive gives the droid great speed and agility, though it is a noticeable weakpoint. Should the repulsorlift unit be destroyed or damaged, the droid will be unable to move.
As the ZQ Infantry Support Unit was only made in limited numbers to begin with, it is rarely seen outside of support Storm Commando squads in combat.
