- Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse: Using multiple crystals and a refined ignitiation mechanism, these lightsabers can operate underwater. Many lightsabers lacking this design would short out or malfunction exposed to certain environmental conditions including being fully submerged in water.
- Amethyst Blade: Rare kyber crystals from the planet Hurikane that produce the amethyst blades known to aid in penetrating the defenses of combatants.
- Magnetic Buttcap: The flat ends of the hilt can firmly lock together when in contact with one another. This allows wielding the sabers much like a staff.
- Increased Power: The Lignan crystals made from Lignan ore allows the blades to burn hotter and last longer; this allows its wielder to cut through thick metal doors with ease, and eventually even lightsaber-resistant materials such as Beskaar and Phrik.
- Underwater Usage: The Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse and tight construction allows use of the lightsabers even deep underwater.
- Durable Construction: Built with a Duravlex alloy frame, these sabers are resistant to blunt force trauma and extreme temperatures; while the Phrik casing protects them from opposing blades.
- Heavy Weight: The trauma-enduring construction and need for the casings to survive their own blade has resulted in these sabers being heavier than most. Those with insufficient wrist strength or training will find these difficult to wield effectively.
- Cortosis Interruption: Cortosis will cause the blade to short if in contact, but the Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse will allow for a quick reignition.
- Weak Magnetic Attraction: The magnetic attraction that allows combing the two blades into a staff-like weapon is not intended for the heavy blows of an actual staff. This feature is intended for quickly dispatching a group of enemies within a confined space with a few, deft twirls.
Darth Siron was born and raised within the Sith Empire. She rose in rank through manipulation, ritual combat, duels, excising the competition, and ingratiating herself within the service of those more powerful than herself. In order to weather the unforgiving lifestyle, Zlova constructed these sabers to beat her enemies into submission with two crystals designed to bolster its power output. Likewise, in order to weather even the most hostile of environments -- including the power of its own blade -- they were constructed of Phrik and Duravlex. Its metal construction added a good deal of heft compared to a standard lightsaber, however, requiring its wielder to not merely be proficient in saber combat, but in heavy weaponry.
Able to slice through even thick metal with relative ease, Darth Siron's enemies have at times been surprised to find the blade able to weaken and carve through even material designed to resist the rigors of lightsaber combat. The thicker such material the longer the exposure necessary to carve a way through it. A solid layer of Cortosis, however, remains a resistant material to the blades' searing charms; fortunately the sabers can be swiftly reignited after exposure despite the extreme difficulty in compromising the troublesome mineral.
