History: As a young girl, Greten Go'Wan was taught the mind and heart of a mandalorian. How to fight, what to believe, and who she was. Like those before her, and those around her, she was meant to be sterling symbol, shaped from the most fearsome metal in the galaxy – Mandalorian honor. However, she gave her parents stay – as she was a troublesome child. She never dared insult her family, though she grew silently indignant toward the dogma and expectations that were poured over her as time went on.

Greten spent all of her free time in the streets with others her age, both alien and mando, playing on cheap sprinters and skim surfers – many of them so poorly made that it's a wonder none of them were killed. Together they learned both about the equipment itself and how to pilot them. Greten was extraordinarily gifted, possessing quick reflexes and an aptitude for bike-riding, earning her the nickname “Zippy” among her other mischievous urchin friends. The name became and escape from the “honorary” hell of the Go'Wan clan, a life and identity unto itself, and soon the line between childsplay and “unlicensed operator and several misdemeanors” began to blur as she grew older.

With the promise to her parents that she would finish her training without issue, Greten was liberated to purchase her swoop-bike license. Her family disagreed with her infatuation and verbally forbade racing, but they knew there was nothing they could do to stop that. Greten had already been street racing full-blast, earning accolades as “Zippy”, punishing her childhood friends – now competitors – into the outskirts of their relationship, all for a bit of small-time creds. It was at that point she knew a line must be drawn, and decided to finish her training under clan Go'Wan, and take her swoop-bike shenanigans elsewhere; somewhere she could earn higher, without the risk of losing her friends.

As it turned out, leaving Mandalore wasn't all that easy. Off-world travel was expensive, and there wasn't nearly enough time nor credits as a Patrolwoman at Keldabe to lift off, as it were. Again, she was stuck stiff between rules and duty. It wasn't until a certain full moon that Officer Go'Wan's life would take a sharp turn, by a group of pirates at the other end of her patrol-bike spotlights. To put it quaintly, there is only so much one mandalorian can do against a Shistavanen and several Hassk grunts – so she held her security comlink at-the-ready. The wolverine crew were in the process of smuggling beskar plates aboard their Pelagian Duplex, that is before being caught by Officer Go'Wan. In that moment a sparkling ultimatum left the Mandolorian's lips: they were to either drop the cargo, or add her name to the cargo register.

Yakar Zabelle's crew of a dozen Hassk made good use of Zippy's talent for swoop-bike piloting and hand-to-hand combat, deploying her in just about every raid or smuggle they could get their hands on. A special corner in Yakar's ship got plastered with posters of swoop-bike models, twi-lek bathing suit posters, and littered with cigarillos. Over time, through both success and failure, she made a family among the blue-furred tribe, learning both of their native tongues (quite difficult for a human to learn), while teaching them a bit of her own culture and skills. Also, the pirates actively pursued swoop-bike races throughout local space (mostly Taris and Telos), so that "Zippy Zabelle" could earn them an extra buck – and of course it was more than that, usually. Altogether, it was a nefarious, yet highly rewarding lifestyle that she had earned. But just when Zippy thought she had mastered her own dreams, something unexpected and frightening began to emerge.

The dire miscalculations of high-speed swoop-racing, and the lethal turnarounds in space-piracy had begun to reveal something Greten had never experienced before. It was in those undeniably dangerous moments that something deep within her leapt outward, pushing her back into the stream of safety – and sometimes success. Whether it be a trandoshan slaver suddenly losing grip of their knife, or a professional racer suddenly stomping on their brakes – it was like magic. Sometimes, what Greten thought were dead ends or locked doors quickly unraveled into the opposite. Of course, she wasn't a fool, and she began to wonder – was her sheer dumb luck something more? Could it be, the force? For now, it was just another thing tumbling around in the back of her head, but she felt deeply that she needed someone to tell her black-and-white. Someone that would know without a doubt.

Maybe... a Jedi?
