Colette, 23
I don’t really know what I’m supposed to write here. Nothing special about me, really. I work out, I go outside a lot, I try not to bother people.
I like quiet places. Walking helps me think.
I travel a lot and practically live out of my backpack.
I’m on here because someone said I should “meet people outside of work.”
So… hi, I guess. If you want to talk, just say something normal.
Click the Emojis, I dare you.
“So, what? Just like this.” Colette demonstrated by swiping on her screen. “And it just makes people think I want them? Just like that?”
She held the phone out, screen away from herself as she showed it to Lily. The person on the other end was
Arris Windrun
. She gave the screen several more absent-minded swipes in very quick succession.

The Jedi Knight gave a scoff and shook her head. It felt so cheap in a way. Like you just gave up on getting out there and meeting real people. It wasn’t exactly that hard. She gave a few more swipes to the left, and then the match one again.
“Kinda superficial, isn’t it?”

They got a ‘like’ sent their way. One because she knew him, the other because — well, exactly the reason the app was created.
“Oh!” Colette exclaimed. “But let’s not forget the most superficial of them all, the up-swipe! The super-duper like.”
Before the next profile could be seen on screen she turned it towards Lily and demonstratively swiped up.

.
“Hm? What?” Colette reacted to Lily’s expression, turned the phone around and exclaimed, “NO!”
The name faded from the screen and she panicked and began pressing the ‘back button’ as if it would undo it but it was already to late. The phone that had once been in her hand was quickly thrown to the ground as if that too would undo the damage.
“No nonono!
Not her!”
