Retreating form the hug, the Echani fell backwards with her hands intertwined behind her. The smile continued to stain her dark lips as she watched the girl in front of her raise, a touch of pride swelling in her chest as the subtle redness grew on Kirie's cheeks.
It was painfully cute.
The roles they held in the galaxy had been forgotten here, Jorryn's existence as a Sith Lady forgotten for the evening so she could just appear as herself. As much as she revelled in what the rank provided, the intoxication of the Dark Side could only be nursed upon so often. Even in this new form, she never drowned herself in it. The existence as a woman just as important as the title.
And tonight, she wanted to just be Jorryn. To experience a life that had been robbed from her as a girl.
This date provided a great opportunity for some relaxation, even if beneath the surface there was a nervousness that failed to escape the Echani. For all the bravado she wore upon her sleeve, a date felt different that seduction. Seeing Kirie stand in front of her in her beautiful dress only compounded the feeling.
"Oh, right!"
A small notebook lifted from the satchel Jorryn wore, clearly well-worn by now. Amber eyes looked carefully as her finger flit through the pages, before lowering it to her side.
The smile returned from her concentration, a beam of pride in her eyes as her hands motioned a greeting.
<:Hello!:>
The notebook held common phrases for sign language. She was hardly an expert, only beginning to learn during the brief period they both served as handmaiden. Hidden communication was valuable, but for now it offered simply as a way for her to try and impress her date.
Then it was the shorter woman that took the approach, returning Jorryn's flirting with her own as a rosiness grew upon her cheeks. A small chuckle escaped her lips as Kirie mentioned where the night would take them, pleasantly surprised that the girl wasn't as shy as the Echani expected.
As the hand was offered, Jorryn quickly wrapped it in her own. Lithe fingers intertwining with the brunette's as she held it in a delicate tightness and drew closer.
Their shoulders brushed against one another's as they began their way into the forest, a quickening of the Echani's pulse as she knew what awaited them. There were two options awaited them, and Jorryn wasn't particularly in the mood to fight. Especially not Kirie. On the other hand...
She felt a bit childish letting such anticipation build up in her, but as she looked over to the girl in her hands, a blush took her cheeks.
The scenic view only grew as petals of snow danced from the sky above in a light flurry, shining against the lights of the trees that illuminated to path forwards. The trees loomed above them, offering a private haven to the would-be lovers that scattered amongst the forest. Even now couples intimately scattered, falling further into privacy as the oaken trunks obscured them.
It wasn't long before the pair was alone, the trees their only company save for one another.
"Soooo..." An uncharacteristic awkwardness fell upon her words as she spoke, the innocent nature of the date not quite her playground.
"How have you been? Aside from being shot with a bean bag of course."
The question was casual, too much for a date. She was supposed to be good at this, her pride as a temptress failing her as she instead fell into the role of an awkward romantic prospect.
"I was a bit sad to see such a pretty handmaiden leave before we could do anything together, though I suppose this makes up for it. I'll admit I did imagine us in a similar situation." The words rolled sweeter this time, trying to find a pace to continue.
"It made me happy to see you grow though, Kirie."
A shoulder jostled against the brunette's as she teased her.
"Though we should probably try to avoid fighting, I'd hate to hurt those ribs of yours again." A small chuckle escaped her lips as they continued to walk amongst the leaves, hoping that it wasn't poking too far before she decided to make it even worse.
"Or rip that pretty dress of yours. Not yet at least."
Amber eyes took a moment to flit down across the brunette's figure, admiring the dress of the girl amongst other appeals. The gaze didn't last much longer than would be considered proper before once again moving forwards.
Every now and then a stall parted the way between the trees, holding different goods to increase the appeal of the dates. The next one held something that both of them could agree upon.
Multiple kettles and papers cups lined the stall, and tables enclosed it for a quiet seat alone. With a tug of her hand, the Echani guided them towards the drinks, her eyes lighting up as she realised a redness took her nose and the cold caressed her ears.
The brunette with her was undoubtedly colder, dressed only in her dress. As lovely as it was, it surely hadn't been built for warmth. Jorryn appreciated the commitment to aesthetics, but she wanted Kirie to be comfortable.
The Echani guided her date to a seat before walking over to the stand and pouring them two cups of hot cocoa. A selfish part of her brought the cup to her nose, taking in the rich taste before setting it back down and pouring some whipped cream on top of them. Bringing them back to the table, she sat to the side of Kirie instead of across from her, wishing to be close to the girl.
"Here you go! Something to warm you up." She shuffled on the seat to be close to Kirie, the warmth between them shared through the proximity.
"Aside from me, of course."
A hand wrapped around the waist of her date, pulling her in as she tempered her greed. The hand remained around Kirie's waist, simply clinging to her as the Echnai began to sip from her drink.
