Public [Zinder Event] Ilum's Grand Life Day Extravaganza!!! [Zinder Event]

t5612KP.png

Before Eurydice could manage to scamper away, she'd been noticed. Paralyzed by both recognition and the sound of encroaching footsteps, the girl found herself swallowed in the looming shadow of an imposing figure.

Then, he offered his hand.

Eurydice blinked. She didn't move, but instead watched in some semblance of terrified awe as a single drop of water, followed by an accumulation of snow, deposited themselves atop the man's head. It seemed to melt much quicker than it should have, just as a cold dribble began trawling along the slope of her nose.

Eurydice blinked again. Her eyes darted to his extended hand, uncertain. Then, she took it, allowing him to help her to her feet.

"I...am sorry," she said softly. Her gaze decided to be elsewhere, cast among the endless lines of white-stricken trees as she haphazardly brushed the snow from her cloak then patted down her hair, cold crystals still clinging to individual strands. After a few long moments, she found the will to look at the man who'd approached her and-

Oh. He was tall tall.

Eurydice had to crane her neck back to an uncomfortable degree to find his face. Which was, of course, youthful and pleasing. Dark hair, dark eyes, and scars. Bogan, this boy had Sith written all over him.

Again, she looked away as another swell of nerves rose from her stomach and into her throat.

"Everything here looks the same,"
she mumbled, boots shifting awkwardly in the snow. "Were you trying to get back to the ice rink?"

OBJ: Are you my Mistletoe or Mistle-foe

She….apologized? She tripped and she was the one apologizing?

His thoughts only deepened his curiosity about her as he helped her back up, watching her dust herself off. He could tell she was cold, it didn't come as a surprise.

I could give you some womanly advice if you want.

Varin's face went blank for but a split second while she was looking off into the trees.

Something tells me you are not the most popular with the ladies. Besides, she looks more lost than looking for someone.

Varin observed the forest surrounding them, noting the similar trees that stood before them. It itself could be a maze in its own right, only this one you couldn't just stick to one side and follow its walls.

“Were you trying to get back to the ice rink?”

She asked him curiously. The question caused him to blink a few times.

“There's an ice rink? I have never skated before. What if I fall through?”

His question slipped out of his mouth before he could process. He cleared his throat before he spoke again, his heart pounding from nervousness. He was never good at talking to ladies, if there was one thing he truly was terrified of, it was embarrassing himself in front of a lovely lady.

“I uh….I don't really know if I could ice skate to be honest with you. I may end up melting it.”

Ignati laughed in his head.

Oh definitely a good save boy, they will be swooning over you in no time. VARIN: THE DESTROYER OF RINKS MAKER OF PONDS

Ignati's laughter echoed in the back of his mind, echoing off into the distance, almost like…he was actually giving Varin time to think for himself. Of course he would pick NOW of all times.

Varin shifted his boots slightly in the snow. The soles of his boots etched into a print beneath him.

His eyes caught hers for a moment, before he quickly shifted his gaze back to the trees around them.

He figured "Bubblegum" made sense with the light pink of her hair, and it was more fun to say than Fallon, no offense intended. But if she wanted him to stop, she only had to say. "So... you are just the daughter of a famous naval officer who is now a Countess, and who lives in a castle. That sounds like you at least got royal genes." Given her beauty, that must certainly have been the truth.

Saul paused for a minute after Fallon finished. He hadn't expected to be asked about his spirituality today. Then again, he hadn't expected to have a date today, so what did he know? "Umm... Let's say neutral. I... Let's just say I don't think you need to be a big-time Countess's daughter or have a force affiliation to help people. Half the time, I don't know what I'm getting for breakfast, much less choosing a force entity." He didn't really have a good think about his spirituality. Usually, praying to the ones when he needed to was good enough. "I'm guessing you're Ashla?"

At least her second question was easier to answer. "Well, I've taken a lot of Starship Engineer roles in the past, mainly fixing freighters and cargo starships. I've even had a drafting job making ships of my own. More recently, I have had a bodyguard job protecting a friend, as well as working in the Liaste Order as a foot soldier. That's pretty much my whole job history. Saul didn't know what Fallon would think of him working for the Diarchy; it's half of the reason he didn't say it by name. Still, it wasn't like he was being untruthful; he did work the Liaste Order. He just didn't say who the Order was supported by. "What about you? I'm sure the daughter of a countess has plenty of job opportunities." That probably was the understatement of the century, but at least it kept the conversation rolling along.

Fallon seemed nice, though he doubted she was completely innocent. Kids from military families usually learned how to protect themselves early on. Hell, she could probably hip toss him right onto the ice. Still, he liked where this was going, and talking to Fallon was worth making his remaining muscles burn.

"First, I already have two snowballs." Naniti looked at Lysander pointedly, wondering if that would still go over his head or if he was intentionally playing dumb. "Second, an Instructor of Kor'ethyr is your business partner?" Was that just more nobility stuff? Who went into business with one of their instructors? That was like a lamb hooking up with a wolf. And no, it didn't help the Neti looked perfectly sweet in her slow slide-by. It was worse. So much worse! A Neti could convince people to do all sorts of things under any number of guises.

Actually, that would be pretty useful for conducting business transactions would it? Kark it.

"Anyway," much as she wanted to know what kind of business it was, she could interrogate him later about it. "Have you been skating before? Seem comfortable typing your own skates. Confident you're going to show me up. Just ice skates, or you ever tried hover skating?"

Try not to get all worked up about galactic domination or whatever, she told herself. Sith business could wait. Then again, this Neti... Argh! The Togruta managed to keep the smile on her face despite how her thoughts kept circling back around to that wooden woman. It was okay. Lysander and her had shared a moment. The problem was how novel and momentous that moment had been. How unfamiliar it and everything that came with it was. All Naniti had to go on were romance holos! But everyone knew those were made up nonsense! Consumable, addictive nonsense she totally didn't have piled on a datapad.

"Hey cutie!"

Kirie started at the words. Her mind had been wondering, thinking about Life Day celebrations that would be happening in Cephis. She snapped back to the present moment and looked up to see who had spoken, her hair falling from behind her ears across her face. It was Jorryn, looking cute in her oversized jumper. Kirie mostly found Jorryn intimidating, but tonight her outfit made her look friendly and approachable, as did the smile painted across her dark lips. The only thing that caused her any discomfort was that Jorryn's eyes were on hers, glittering with energy and positivity, and that wasn't her fault, Kirie just wasn't used to it. She swallowed made an effort to meet the woman's eyes.

Kirie stood to meet her date, waving awkwardly and signing a greeting, her hands moving swiftly and fluidly as her loyal little droid translated from its position floating just behind her shoulder.

'Jorryn, It's nice to see you.'

She jumped again at the feeling of the woman's soft sleeves on her back but she forced her shoulders to relax and leaned into the hug, wrapping her arms around Jorryn in return. After a moment, Kirie was struck by the strange feeling that she wanted to stay there. She hadn't been embraced since her holiday on Kesh, and Jorryn's arms were warm and strong and comfortable, and she smelled nice. Even the feeling of her head resting on Kirie's shoulder was comforting.

"Don't start freezing already, love, we still have plenty ahead of us tonight." A soft smile crept upon the corners of her black lips as she drew closer to the girl. "Though I don't mind warming you up..."

Kirie could feel Jorryn smiling as her lips brushed against her ear. She was making a show of acting like a lady, but Jorryn was as bold as ever. Kirie didn't mind though. So long as Jorryn was respectful, her forward and direct nature could make this date a lot of fun. As it was, she already had Kirie feeling like she didn't want to let go.

Kirie finally pulled away from Jorryn's embrace, her faced tinged with embarassment about how much she had enjoyed the hug. Hopefully Jorryn hadn't noticed. Hopefully she would just think it was the cold.

Stars, she was such a weirdo.

Within a few moments of breaking contact, Kirie's composure returned, though she was still smiling shyly. Kirie's dark eyes met Jorryn's Sith-yellow gaze, and this time it was she who drew close.

There was something fun about being pursued that she had forgotten. A sort of social dance. Whatever Jorryn's greater intentions, it was nice to be desired, it was nice to be touched again.

'You want to warm me up, do you?' Kirie asked innocently. 'Hold my hand then. Let's go for a walk.' She smiled sweetly, determinedly still not breaking Jorryn's gaze even as a blush crept over her face again. 'And then let's see where the night takes us.'

She extended a hand for Jorryn to take, so that their shoulders were touching. The forest ahead of them sparkled with twinkling lights and twisting paths crisscrossed with arbors strung with seasonal plants. It was breathtaking and undeniably romantic, and Kirie was excited to explore it with Jorryn.

'Ready?'

Captain Tane asked that Prystill call him Ronhar. The Theelin woman found this quite a good sign for things. She honestly had not been sure of Prefect Tron or someone else in the had assigned the soldier to watch over her and make sure Prystill did not embarrass the Confederation by interacting with an enemy of state or throwing herself at some high ranking galactic figure.

"Ronhar it is then," Prystill responded with a smile. "As long as you call me Prystill. Though without an official title currently I suppose some would be left with Ms. Oasay as the alternative and that would be terrible.." Pry giggled nervously.

When she was told she was "ravishing" Prystill blushed, though with her spots and the cold already affecting pigmentation it was likely hard to tell. "I never refuse compliments from a handsome man," she responded before he started to outline his plan for the evening.

The plans seemed pretty open. The stalls seemed like a good place to start. A relaxed setting with plenty of distractions to fill dead spaces in the conversation as they got to know each other. Plus there promised to be food. Prystill had not eaten en route because of nerves and fear her date might insist they eat. Now that the introductions had been done her nerves were starting to dissipate. The exclusion of skating was fine with her for now. Prystill prided herself on her grace of movement. She had never skated before though so avoiding potential embarrassment in front of Ronhar seemed preferred.

"Festival market place sounds excellent," Prystill stated. She happily took the offered arm. Any chill that may have come from the temperature of his metal arm was nullified by Prystill's heart beating fats and raising her body temperature.

As they approached the marketplace Prystill gave a pleasant hum. The gathering of merchants were quite varied and obviously had a focus on winter romance. Besides that, the aromas from the concession stalls fill the air with a wonderful spice. "Have you eaten Ronhar? I was quite nervous for our meeting myself and refrained from nourishment on the trip in…" the statement hung in the air as a specific smell touched Prystill's nose. She gently pulled Ronhar in the direction of the smell and settled in front of a stall advertising Wamapa Warmers "The smell is divine. Can we get one?"

His focus shifted down to her hands, half expecting to see a snowball. Nothing? An upward flick carried him back to Naniti, brows furrowed with mild confusion. Maybe Ilum's icy winds were shielding him from whatever trap the violet Togruta was setting.

“Well,” the blonde said finally, letting the words tumble out with a nonchalant shrug, “my snowball collection’s full anyway. I don’t really have any room for extras.” Sure, whatever that was supposed to mean. First thought up, first thought out. Because internally, he felt that peculiar lightness, the type of freedom he didn't get to experience on Desevro or Nar Shaddaa. Both worlds forced responsibility. Ilum, here, allowed him to just be Lysander.

Numbers in her voice? First, second.. he almost expected a third. Adorable, yes. Somewhat terrifying, also yes.

“A’Mia and I go way back.”
The tone he carried remained light. "Honestly though, nothing to worry about.. we make a solid team."

He scanned the lake as more questions followed. No sign yet of the Sith Lord's presence. The thought prickled Lysander’s mind, notes of irritation rising faster than he wanted to admit. It smelled like defiance. Or worse, treason whispering through the Grove. And when sap carried the weight of blood, you didn’t ignore those kinds of things.

Still, he was quick to push those reflections aside..

A little laugh bubbled up as Lysander dipped his head lightly. “First time skating, yeah. But.. I’ve fenced on sharper floors than this. I’ll be fine, Naniti. You don’t need to worry about me.”

Hover skating? What did she expect? He’d choose a horse over a speeder any day. The nostalgia for simple things always persisted.

“Nope. Sounds like something the authorities would frown on.”

Slow and careful steps were taken toward the lake, testing the ground beneath him. The pivot dragged too, until he reclaimed her. A tiny spark of mischief leapt to the teen’s expression. “Don’t get too confident.. I might just let you think you’re leading.. until you’re not.”

"And here I thought your name was Rose."

Shan gave a little teasing grin at that before shaking his head at Lily's worry about not giving Shan some form of present. He hadn't expected one. That was the main part of a gift, you shouldn't expect it. They should be a pleasant surprise, which at the very least Shan was sure that his bouquet had been. Which in his eyes was all he needed. Plus at the end of the day, Lily's smile was gift enough for him. It was an honest smile which is all he could ever ask for.

"In all seriousness though, Lily, you don't need to worry about it. In the same way the Echani can show affection through touch, I show mine through gifts."

It was his way of showing how much time and effort he put into thinking about people. What they'd like, what would suit them the most. It's why he had enjoyed the bouquet idea so much. It brought together what made Shan and Lily each other in the best of ways. Though he shook his head, trying not to focus on that and instead raising an eyebrow at Lily's comment about her dress.

"Lily. You could wear anything and my eyes would be on you. Not because of what you're wearing, but because you're you. That being said...the dress is pretty fantastic. You really have good taste at picking these things out."

He squeezed Lily's hand as the Echani took his, wandering over towards the ice rink, shaking his head towards Lily's question. He had never really had much reason to learn ice skating if he was honest.

"You don't really get much of a chance to do ice skating on Nar Shaddaa...and then when I joined the Jedi, I had no important things to try and focus on y'know?...but hey. Practice makes perfect at the end of the day?"

Retreating form the hug, the Echani fell backwards with her hands intertwined behind her. The smile continued to stain her dark lips as she watched the girl in front of her raise, a touch of pride swelling in her chest as the subtle redness grew on Kirie's cheeks.

It was painfully cute.

The roles they held in the galaxy had been forgotten here, Jorryn's existence as a Sith Lady forgotten for the evening so she could just appear as herself. As much as she revelled in what the rank provided, the intoxication of the Dark Side could only be nursed upon so often. Even in this new form, she never drowned herself in it. The existence as a woman just as important as the title.

And tonight, she wanted to just be Jorryn. To experience a life that had been robbed from her as a girl.

This date provided a great opportunity for some relaxation, even if beneath the surface there was a nervousness that failed to escape the Echani. For all the bravado she wore upon her sleeve, a date felt different that seduction. Seeing Kirie stand in front of her in her beautiful dress only compounded the feeling.

"Oh, right!"

A small notebook lifted from the satchel Jorryn wore, clearly well-worn by now. Amber eyes looked carefully as her finger flit through the pages, before lowering it to her side.

The smile returned from her concentration, a beam of pride in her eyes as her hands motioned a greeting.

<:Hello!:>

The notebook held common phrases for sign language. She was hardly an expert, only beginning to learn during the brief period they both served as handmaiden. Hidden communication was valuable, but for now it offered simply as a way for her to try and impress her date.

Then it was the shorter woman that took the approach, returning Jorryn's flirting with her own as a rosiness grew upon her cheeks. A small chuckle escaped her lips as Kirie mentioned where the night would take them, pleasantly surprised that the girl wasn't as shy as the Echani expected.

As the hand was offered, Jorryn quickly wrapped it in her own. Lithe fingers intertwining with the brunette's as she held it in a delicate tightness and drew closer.

Their shoulders brushed against one another's as they began their way into the forest, a quickening of the Echani's pulse as she knew what awaited them. There were two options awaited them, and Jorryn wasn't particularly in the mood to fight. Especially not Kirie. On the other hand...

She felt a bit childish letting such anticipation build up in her, but as she looked over to the girl in her hands, a blush took her cheeks.

The scenic view only grew as petals of snow danced from the sky above in a light flurry, shining against the lights of the trees that illuminated to path forwards. The trees loomed above them, offering a private haven to the would-be lovers that scattered amongst the forest. Even now couples intimately scattered, falling further into privacy as the oaken trunks obscured them.

It wasn't long before the pair was alone, the trees their only company save for one another.

"Soooo..." An uncharacteristic awkwardness fell upon her words as she spoke, the innocent nature of the date not quite her playground. "How have you been? Aside from being shot with a bean bag of course."

The question was casual, too much for a date. She was supposed to be good at this, her pride as a temptress failing her as she instead fell into the role of an awkward romantic prospect.

"I was a bit sad to see such a pretty handmaiden leave before we could do anything together, though I suppose this makes up for it. I'll admit I did imagine us in a similar situation." The words rolled sweeter this time, trying to find a pace to continue. "It made me happy to see you grow though, Kirie."

A shoulder jostled against the brunette's as she teased her.

"Though we should probably try to avoid fighting, I'd hate to hurt those ribs of yours again." A small chuckle escaped her lips as they continued to walk amongst the leaves, hoping that it wasn't poking too far before she decided to make it even worse. "Or rip that pretty dress of yours. Not yet at least."

Amber eyes took a moment to flit down across the brunette's figure, admiring the dress of the girl amongst other appeals. The gaze didn't last much longer than would be considered proper before once again moving forwards.

Every now and then a stall parted the way between the trees, holding different goods to increase the appeal of the dates. The next one held something that both of them could agree upon.

Multiple kettles and papers cups lined the stall, and tables enclosed it for a quiet seat alone. With a tug of her hand, the Echani guided them towards the drinks, her eyes lighting up as she realised a redness took her nose and the cold caressed her ears.

The brunette with her was undoubtedly colder, dressed only in her dress. As lovely as it was, it surely hadn't been built for warmth. Jorryn appreciated the commitment to aesthetics, but she wanted Kirie to be comfortable.

The Echani guided her date to a seat before walking over to the stand and pouring them two cups of hot cocoa. A selfish part of her brought the cup to her nose, taking in the rich taste before setting it back down and pouring some whipped cream on top of them. Bringing them back to the table, she sat to the side of Kirie instead of across from her, wishing to be close to the girl.

"Here you go! Something to warm you up." She shuffled on the seat to be close to Kirie, the warmth between them shared through the proximity. "Aside from me, of course."

A hand wrapped around the waist of her date, pulling her in as she tempered her greed. The hand remained around Kirie's waist, simply clinging to her as the Echnai began to sip from her drink.

"Fall through?"

Eurydice frowned, pulling the cloak tighter over her shoulder. It was a nervous tic as much as it was an attempt to ward off the cold.

Melt it?

"You don't...have to skate."

It had occurred to Eurydice, for only the second time in her young life, that she'd rarely conversed with someone else her own age who was neither a Seer nor actively trying to torment her. As such, she was struck by the realization that she didn't know how to conduct herself.

She didn't know how idle conversation worked, simply because she'd never been exposed to one.

An uncomfortable silence settled between them, during which they both appeared to shift awkwardly in the snow, like baby birds who'd fallen out of the nest too soon.

"You seem…" she trailed, observing the way everything seemed to melt around him a little quicker than it should for a typical human, "...hot…?"

No sooner did the word leave her lips did she quickly raise her hands, startled by her own clumsy mouth. "I-I mean, in regards to body temperature! I-It appears elevated. I don't know, I could be wrong," she stammered.

Naniti schooled her expression despite the obvious way Lysander's gaze lowered, rose, and looked mildly confused at her statement. Were Nobles not taught euphemisms? Nothing carnal? Even they had libidos! Surely they'd come up with some "sophisticated" way of discussing such "base" things without "lowering" themselves or something! Obviously Naniti didn't know what that was because they were not on the same wavelength about snowballs. "You sure about that?" she breathed more to herself than Lysander when he said he was all out of room for more snowballs. Because this Togruta was thinking his collection was suffering from severe dehydration.

And then Lysander... Well, you know, normally a woman might wonder if everything he just said was a euphemism, but she'd just witnessed his lack of command over them so... was this because nobles had a special form of it and Naniti should be suspicious, or he couldn't muster up a sly half-life if he wanted to about a paramour on the side? Never mind whether Naniti would be the one on the side in this sordid tale!

Had to just be a business partner. Had to. Only thing that made sense (and wouldn't drive her mad thinking about it further).

Back to skating! By the Great Design, please. "You have?" Ice was practically friction-less (in an everyday sense) so if he'd been on even more perilous surfaces... "We'll just have to keep one another from falling down." A beat. "After the first time." A smile followed suit having not forgotten his words earlier. What was good for her was good enough for him.

Then she chuckled. It was as Naniti thought. Lysander hadn't seen her the first time they'd not-quite-met. Well, that was to be expected. She'd been on the roof and he'd been on the ground at the time. "Hoverskating? Outlawed? Come on, it's the latest rage on the sport scene. People love to see skaters wipe out." Ice skating was near frictionless; hover skating actually was frictionless (excluding air resistance). One wrong move and the skater would slam into the wall with a wet slap.

Together, they rose to their feet to navigate their way toward the ice. "You going to teach me a lesson about pride, Lysander? Be careful I don't end up the master by day's end." Naniti was determined to come out ahead. She could skate! Unless he was hiding his skill, she had to be able to beat him at skating. Now whether he made this all about lightsaber dueling while on skates and getting inside his guard that... might be a story with a different ending. Not that the Togruta was going to 'let' Lysander win. Oh, he was handsome, but that didn't dull her desire to come out on top.

Her initial statement of falling through made it seem like she was slightly confused. He didn’t mean his own body weight but something else. He stammered slightly as nervousness bloomed from his gut to his chest, causing himself to shiver slightly.

“I’m afraid my condition….I have this…uh…nevermind don’t worry about it.”

He stumbled over his words, before he caught himself stuttering he took a deep slow breath. The cool air greeted his lungs and then exited in a dense cloud of crystals.

“What else do you do at a skating rink? Just stand there and watch other people falling and laugh at them?…..”

Instantly the thought hit him.

Actually sounds pretty fun.

Varin was taken by surprise on her observant assumption. Her stammering caused him to blink a few times in a near amount of surprise as her. He let out a soft nervous chuckle.

“I mean, what other kind of hot is there? Do I seem feverish???”

His eyes slightly widened before he palmed his own forehead to quickly snap himself out of a slight spiral.

“Sorry. No, you are right. That's part of my condition. My body temperature is indeed elevated you could say.”

He lifted his hand and a flicker of flame danced in his palm. He would twirl it softly between his fingers almost like it was an extension of himself. Slow and methodical it weaved itself from finger to finger and back, almost hypnotical.

“It has become a part of me.”

The runic brands that were just visible on his wrist glowed a slight vibrant orange hue as he shaped the flame into a silhouette of an oak tree. The scent of burning leaves surrounded them as the fire brightened the small vicinity before them. Tiny flowers bloomed on the branches of the shape which then fell to his palm in embers like autumn.

“Been like this since I was a very small child.”

He needed to stop calling her royalty, in her experience soldiers made terrible monarchs and she had no desire to rule over people. "My other mum is a senator, was a senator, that whole political like sitting on a throne calling people you hate "your right honorable", not for me." she grinned, her mother would not appreciate that assement of her work.

She spun 360° on the ice before returning to her backwards pose in relation to her date. "I am an Ashlan yeah, functionally a Jedi if you want to use those terms, but Lightbringer is more accurate. I'm mostly a soldier, going in to the Sith state that now taints our old space and trying to do whatever we can for the people there." it was dangerous, it was often unsuccessful but when things went well it was undeniably rewarding and every soul saved made her feel a step closer to her the light on her face.

The man seemed quite down to earth, she enjoyed that, and she wasnt getting any vibes that he was some wicked darksider with intent on murdering anyone he sees, she enjoyed that too.

Her expression changed, "You look really uncomfortable, would you prefer to go and get a hot chocolate or something, my treat?" she asked the ungainly skater.

Outfit: Dress

Her eyes studying the mistletoe that was placed all around the forest with the festive lighting that was dangling from the trees. It seemed like a lot of effort that would involve even more effort in taking it all down. Eira hear a person approaching her and it wasn't until the voice spoke that Eira responded with a glance over to them. Hiding the idea that she heard them a while back but was faked being as observant as she was. Instead, Eira focused on the other being.

An alien whose race Eira did not recognise. Which was curious but an interesting curiosity, but Eira made no comments about it. Instead she wondered who would be so foolish as well as brave enough to stand this being up. It seemed a stupid move since being on the angry side of this creature was likely to be dangerous to one's health. Shaking her head, "no. Not stood up. Didn't make any plans to meet anyone here for a date. Figured there might be a chance to just meet someone here and then see what happens." Her voice deeper than it would seem for her appearance but it was a pleasant, smooth voice.

She then watched as the being found something else to be intrigued by. Her blood red eyes followed the direction to see a man dragging a bag of things. Curious sighting again. Eira was getting more intrigued by the curious people that used this app, it seemed odd in an amusing and fun way. Better to find unique, interesting people with potentially dangerous edges over cookie cutter safe people. At least, for Eira that was always a priority for her.

"Hopefully you find someone to fight in order to warm up then." Eira mentioned to Warpriest Prime Warpriest Prime as Eira was surprised with how well she was handling the cold herself. It did not seem so bad in comparison to how she thought it would be in the dress that she was wearing. Either she ran hotter than she thought or something else was amiss.

"Huh, I thought you would like making laws about everyone getting free candy and stuffed Teddy Bears to help people sleep. Still, that can't be easy, trying to break away from your parents' legacies." Saul could understand the desire to be something different than what people thought she should be. It had been his whole life, trying to reinvent himself from his original purpose. He also knew the effort it took to try to be something new and it was something that made him respect her more.

The face she met when she turned around from her spin said, "Really... Are you trying to stick the dagger in more?" Not that Saul would actually throw a tantrum over not being the best. He knew that skating would never be his thing. Not without years of practice anyway. At least he had the chance to admire Fallon's ability on the ice while his competitive nature was vowing to beat her at something else.

"So, you have a six-pack under that puffy coat after all, huh? That doesn't turn me off..." The smirk on his face told her that she had definitely not turned him off. The Cyborg had wondered if her Jedi abilities had anything to do with her figure skating. At least then he could say Fallon had an unfair advantage to save his pride. "But that makes sense. Sometimes the Order conducts raids in that area of space as well when we receive good intelligence. Keeps the Sith from spreading their influence beyond their little fiefdom." Saul didn't know about saving souls, but at least they weren't against each other politically. That would have been very awkward for both of them, to say the least. "Maybe you'll show me some of your fighting skills someday."

Not being able to stop from shaking his head, Saul couldn't help but let out a laugh as he leaned against the Ice Rink's walls. Thankfully, his lungs were the only muscle of his that wasn't burning right now. "No, I look like a newborn Eopie trying to walk. There is a difference. But yeah, putting some solid ground under my feet would be best, and another hot chocolate sounds great right now. Mind helping me across the ice?" Forgoing his pride, he offered his hand to the Lightbringer, letting the young woman help him across the ice. Hopefully, he could stroke his male ego in other ways than trying to balance on bladed shoes.

Hiding his delight was nearly impossible; every glance from Naniti kept tugging at it. He could be a little easier to read sometimes, admittedly, and this was one of those moments. And well.. she wasn’t exactly subtle in her scrutiny either. Eventually, he had to remind himself of the obvious: he was here to skate, not to unravel a Togruta’s mind. That could wait until they were back on Desevro.

She was clearly more practiced than he'd anticipated. A challenge, yes, but not unwelcome. Even if he was a step higher on the Sith hierarchy, iron still sharpened iron, didn't it? Maybe one tiny psychological prod wouldn't hurt. The corners of his mouth tugged up just a fraction. "Well.. I suppose it could be like Jutrand, then. Just another platonic drill in teamwork. Nothing serious, of course."

Her comments on hover skating caught him off guard. Naniti.. enjoying a little chaos? Fascinating. Obviously, he'd underestimated her taste for adventure.. or recklessness. Neither notion was terrible, if he were being honest. "Guess the galaxy's full of surprises. Not sure if I should be relieved.. or worried. But I'd be game to try it when we return home."

At the edge of the ice, which gleamed like polished glass, the first skate began to hover. Lysander stepped cautiously, one foot, then another, feeling them bite just enough to keep him balanced. A little different than duel footwork, but not really any less demanding of control. Beginner or not, his focus was the same at least.

The wind tugged at the scarf around his neck, his thoughts dancing not only around her presence, but also the challenge ahead. Her dare was bold. Master by day’s end? Bogan above, she had some nerve.

A breath of amusement ghosted from him. “Almost sounds like some kind of distant dream. But points for cuteness.”

But his head lingered in its tilt. “However.. it doesn’t work like that, acolyte.” There was a playful cadence to his voice. “You’re mine to test.. and maybe break a little, remember?" No, she probably didn’t remember.. his boldest declaration yet.. but hey, the ice and the challenge ahead weren’t going to wait for perfect timing!

Opting to spare himself of waiting for her reaction, he pivoted, smoother this time than the last, and let himself glide forward. The ice was slick.. just as expected.. keeping him alert. The blades were scraping along, and even as he was still processing, one thing stood out above all else.. it felt freeing.

The other Quendesh said Tintinallë's name slowly as if testing. Tintinallë tilted her head slightly, because Olyssandra's speaking of her name was perfectly accented. Olyssandra seemed to be considering something, so Tintinallë gave her a moment with merely a nod of her head before she would move the conversation forward.

As she waited however Tintinallë realized why Hyartë was not present for the initial introduction. They were going to go skating and they had no skates. Tintinallë was so fixated on meeting their date that she forgot a main part of making the date move forward. Before she could say anything about that or anything else Olyssandra threw herself into Tintinallë wrapping her arms around Tintin in a hug.

Hyartë probably would have taken the hug in stride, but Tintinallë was used to being the one to make the first impulsive move. Tintinallë did not stay surprised for long, however. Especially in an act of physical bonding. She quickly threw her arms around Olyssandra and tightly squished their bodies together. Tintinallë leaned in and put her cheek against Olyssandra's. Tintin was aware of the fact that they were in public and Olyssandra may not be a follower of Lyshara's Desire, otherwise things might have gotten even more intimate.

There was a gentle clearing of a throat from behind Tintinallë. The Quendesh hummed pleasantly in Odyssandra's ear, knowing the sound of impatience as coming from Hyartë. Tintinallë reluctantly released the hug and looked to Hyartë standing a meter away with a pair of ice skates over either shoulder. "Tintin, I know you are good at any form of travel by instinct, but I believe skates are required for ice skating," the taller more fierce looking Quendesh spoke with a gentle smile. She looked over Olyssandra and found the new face to be quite appealing, as she had thought from viewing her Zinder profile.

Tintin blushed as she waved a hand toward Hyartë. "This is Hyartë Vaelune, hunter and fellow follower of Lyshara's Desire," Tintinallë announced, her hand still hovering on Odyssandra's hip.

Hyartë moved to the opposite side of Odyssandra from Tintinallë. She handed over the smaller pair of skates to Tintinallë. Hyartë then put her arm around Odyssandra's shoulders to give her a side hug. "It is good to see another of our kind out in the galaxy. Tintin has been fantasizing about the possibilities of our potential bond. Don't worry, I have told her to temper her expectations. She's content to start with skating and see where things go."

"Content isn't exactly…" Tintinallë responded quickly before blushing and shutting her mouth, retracting the hand on Odyssandra's hip to place it over her mouth. After a chest heaving breath she dropped her hand and smiled. "We should try skating. I guess I need to change my footwear. I have never done this before, but as Hyartë says, with it comes to motion I am a natural."

Hyartë laughed. Tintinallë was always eager to get into new things. Most of the time too eager. "You two can go out on the ice first. I will watch for a moment to see how it is done and then perhaps catch up to you."

The small prayer, mocking or not, made Eenia's gaze snap to the back of Adelle's head. “What?” She didn't quite whimper, but it was pretty close. So neither of them had ever been skating before…or couldn't remember going to do so at least. The latter made Nia's brow crease, but now didn't seem the time to dig her heels in and ask questions about what her friend meant. Didn't remember? That definitely piqued The blonde's curiosity.

The questions were tucked away for later, for now Nia watched with semi-wide eyes as Adelle braved the ice. Warmth tangled in the palm of her hands and spread through the lengths of her fingers as she waited for an injury to heal. But the other stayed on her feet, and when she turned to extend a hand to Nia, the healer exhaled a breath she hadn't even realized she had been holding.

“I make no such promise.” Eenia replied with a nervous chuckle. Her hand reached for and closed around Adelle's, and then she carefully ticked her way onto the ice.

The skates teetered, causing Nia to wobble, but she remained on her feet. Again she exhaled, in a rush this time while her gaze found her companion again. “Okay…okay. So far not so bad.”

“I make no such promise.” Eenia replied with a nervous chuckle. Her hand reached for and closed around Adelle's, and then she carefully ticked her way onto the ice.

"Rude," Adelle said with a laugh. It took her a few experimental steps on the ice to figure out how to make the skates glide over the frozen surface. Especially since she wanted to make sure she wasn't outpacing Nia. They didn't both need to fall at the same time. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of--"

Almost immediately, she felt her center of gravity shift backwards, her balance suddenly off. Her own feet slipped out from under her faster than she anticipated. Adelle let go of Nia's hand before she fell, landing with a solid thump on her backside. From the bank, Phantom let out a worried meow. Adelle waved at the feline, and sent reassurance back to Phantom through the Force. As long as she didn't hit her head hard enough to disorient her, things would be fine.

"Alright, well, serves me right for thinking," she said. Adelle waved off any assistance, healing or otherwise, from Nia. "Don't worry about me. I only hurt my pride. Maybe my tailbone too but that'll fix itself eventually."

Her return to standing upright on the skates was anything but graceful. It was a good thing she wasn't here to impress anyone, just have some fun. Fortunately, she managed to pay more attention to her center of gravity and prevent further falls for herself, slowly finding the right position for ice skating.

"So you've never seen someone ice skate before?" Adelle asked. "Not even on the HoloNet?"

Naniti stared at Lysander silently after his quip. Jutrand, huh? Platonic, right. Alright, she'd show him some affection in this training if that's what he wanted. Platonically, of course. Not that she was reading too much into what he was saying at this point. That might have been overplaying his hand; at least hinted at being amusing at her expense. That was okay. She'd even things out in due time.

"Why? Just don't run into the wall." Relieved or worried? Well, it would be easy to mislead someone into quite the painful experience their first time in hoverskates. Naniti, however, wasn't petty. Well, unless Lysander kept harping on their totally platonic relationship; in which case a Togruta might need to help knock some sense back into his head.

Speaking of which, she kept an eye on him as he stepped out onto the ice.

She stepped out after him and gave him a look as he called her joke cute. "Aw, thanks, sweet cheeks." A smile spread across her dark lips.

A slight tilt of the head and narrowing of the eyes accompanied the abrupt Master-like tone. The smile remained, but a touch lopsided not sure what he was trying to pull. Was he trying to pull the rank card on her now? Thing was... he could if Lysander wanted to force the matter. Naniti had to weigh how close intimacy was getting to formality; there was a line, which she made sure not to cross when circumstances required. This hardly seemed one.

The smile returned in full form even as he pivoted to slide off with the last word. "Don't you forget it," the Togruta said under her breath.

With a snort, the violet woman shoved forward and started to slide her legs out to either side fluidly to build up a little speed so Lysander didn't get too far ahead. Unlike her senior, however, she didn't reflect on the sense of liberation and fluidity of movement. If it weren't for him being there, the entire experience would have been a means to train balance and control. Lysander forced her to consider less utilitarian purposes of being out on the ice. She wasn't sure what, but there was this sense she should find something... different. Something other than just training. Maybe after whatever less he had in store? She assumed there was one given his message that had invited her there.
