Zhaael Lah is a Yuuzhan Vong who had been trained since birth as a warrior, to serve as a leader for when the Yuuzhan Vong Empire began to move into the known galaxy. Highly trained in his caste, his rank indicates his capabilities, while his abilities as a Hunter also allow him additional skills to utilize; and as one of the elite, he has been appointed more difficult and clandestine tasks, for which his unique attributes (namely, he can tactically plan and think, unlike most warriors) allow him to perform. Namely, assassination, reconnaissance and stealth.

Armed with impressive skills of a Domain Lah warrior, but also the abilities to lie, manipulate and sneak, Zhaael is a ruthless member of his species. And he will not stop until the enlightenment of the Yuuzhan Vong has spread throughout the billions of galactic inhabitants.

However, when assigned as a Praetorite Vong, for the purposes of paving the way for the Empire once more, his vessel and group were swallowed by a rift in spacetime. Zhaael suddenly found himself in the Netherworld, cut off from where he should have been, and unable to communicate with his people. And so began a tireless need for survival, as the Praetorite Vong group fought against nether-creatures and threats for numerous years; but through that baptism of fire, they were forged anew, stronger and more skilled than they could ever have hoped. Though, it seemed Zhaael and his fellow Praetorite Vong would be forever trapped in the mystical realm.

Until Csilla.

Now, following the annihilation of the Chiss homeworld and as the stability of spacetime begins to tear again, the group of zealots from the Yuuzhan Vong Empire have emerged from the Netherworld. Tasked with a believed-to-be unattainable purpose, but now free of the prison that held them and all the stronger for it, the Praetorite Vong force begins to enact its original mission - to prepare the way for the will of Yun-Yuuzhan, in the galaxy once more...

STRENGTHS:
  • Hunter Elite: Zhaael is uncommon to the Warrior Caste, in that he has other capabilities beyond most common to it. He is a highly skilled in stealth, spying and assassination, able to read other sentient's tones and mannerisms, while having been taught the ways of the known Galaxy in the lead up to his return as a Praetorite Vong. As such, he is capable of speaking fluent Galactic Basic without need of biot assistance. He is also able to understand several alien languages, though cannot speak them. He is somewhat knowledgeable of the galaxy, though his information is outdated and requires re-familiarizing.
  • Mighty Warrior: Zhaael has been trained since birth in the Warrior Caste, and as such is an incredible combatant. Especially skilled in hand-to-hand combat, he is able to use his logic and keen mind (as a Hunter Elite) for strategy, cunning and preparation to overcome opponents, if pure skill and strength do not suffice. His skill with the amphistaff and tsaisi is renowned in his Domain, and few other Lah would dare cross him in a challenge.
  • Adapt Or Die: Zhaael is highly adaptable, and is able to use most forms of technology in the galaxy as other sentients do; he is also adept in the use of astrogation, starships, cultural mannerisms and accent dialects, per his Hunter training. He hates the knowledge, but understands its usefulness, and trusts that Yun-Yuuzhan will forgive the necessity of technology to conquer.
  • Species Traits:Due to his species, Zhaael is more physically capable and hardy than standard humans, and like others has characteristics such as:
    • Long Life: Yuuzhan Vong have exceptionally long lives, capable of reaching several hundred years old.
    • Eye Sacks: Beneath the eyes are sacks that expand and contract based on mood; Zhaael's are black.
    • Nervous System: The Yuuzhan Vong nervous system is highly conductive specifically for feeling pain, which the species coveted.
    • Force Void: Yuuzhan Vong are sentients that exist outside of the Force, comparable to a Force void; as such they have no presence in the Force.
    • Force Resistant: Due to being a Force void, the Yuuzhan Vong are highly resistant to most forms of Force power, including effects being decreased in potency.
  • Grafted Traits: Due to grafting at the hands of Shapers, Zhaael has the following:
    • Hidden Pouches: Across his torso, specifically in each armpit and on his right hip, Zhaael has hidden Q'et sacs for concealing small items.
    • Hand Claws: Embedded into his left forearm, Zhaael has a retractable fighting claw; exceedingly sharp, lightsaber resistant, able to puncture through energy shields and able to stretch to four times the standard length.
    • Right Forearm Hollow: A sealable portion of skin, on Zhaael's right forearm, allows for his Tsaisi to reside in concealment, where it is able to emerge to be wielded or erupt suddenly to attack
    • Antidote: Contained within a portion of his right thumb, Zhaael has a retractable needle filled with the antidote of plaeryin poison.
    • Gaseous: Within a close-range dispenser, located inside Zhaael's left pinkie finger, is a knockout gas capable of affecting most sentients.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Selfish Zealot: Zhaael is a fanatic and is consumed to serve his culture and god in cleansing all other species... so as long as he gains from it personally. He expects to become Supreme Overlord, at any cost.
  • Certain Force Abilities: Despite the general resistance to the Force, there remains some powers and uses that can injure Yuuzhan Vong.
  • Philosophy of Pain: For Zhaael, embracing pain, and seeking it in combat, are the only thing he desires more than becoming the leader of the Yuuzhan Vong. As such, he can intentionally put himself through injury to experience the pleasure of pain.
  • Eternal Pain: For Zhaael his existence is pain, there is never a moment without it, due to his grafts.
  • Giving Too Much: With success and escalation ceremony, there remains a greater and greater risk of grafting rejection, at which point Zhaael may be exiled or die; he fears this may occur before he can attain the levels of power and influence he seeks, especially since he wants to have all the power and authority.
  • My Power: Zhaael is power hungry and will do anything, and kill anyone in his way, to get it. Even close allies are not safe from his desire to take it all.
  • Perception: Zhaael has one visually working eye, depth perception can be a problem, especially with ranged weaponry.
