Zett is, above all else, an extremely good looking man, tall and athletic with bright, baby blue eyes and a constantly coiffed mane of deep, dark hair, usually lacquered with enough gel to grease a a speeder engine. His style is just as ostentatious, even when he's working in his garage in a greasy mechanic's jumpsuit he always keeps his signature black leather jacket close at hand.
ATTRIBUTES:
Corellian by birth, slick by reputation, and trouble by nature, Zett is the quintessential shipjacker, a man enamored with fast vehicles and finding the most profitable ways to use them. Zett is a thrill seeker, possessing a need for speed that borders on the addictive, and a love of mechanics that can seem almost obsessive. Of course, he'd have been smeared across the pavement by 14 if he didn't have the cool and confidence to handle himself behind the controls of a ship. Its this same cool, combined with a need to show off, that fuels his smooth charisma and love of classic style.
Strengths:
- Go Greased Lightning: The only thing Zett does better than tinker with vehicles is fly them, being able to put swoops, speeders, and starships through maneuvers that would bring a CorSec pilot to tears.
- Tell me About it, Stud: Zett is a very, very pretty man, and he knows it, and he's not at all above leveraging his good looks and charm to get his way in the galaxy.
- Cruisin' for a Bruisin': Despite the pretty facade, Zett is tough and cool under pressure, and knows how to throw hands (or blaster bolts) well enough to get by.
- Worse Things I Could Do: Zett is many things, a punk, a greaser, a lover of fine repuslorcraft, but he's not a schemer or a killer by any means and tries to avoid wetwork wherever possible.
- Beauty School Dropout: Having dropped out of school at a young age, Zett is pretty much clueless about any subject that doesn't relate back to his hobby of shipjacking.
- Nothin' But a Hound Dog: Zett is a petty criminal, plain and simple, short on class and long on ambition, a dangerous combination in the criminal underworld.
BIOGRAPHY:
Zett Styls was bon and questionably raised on the planet of Corellia, by a couple who never abandoned him, but never did much for him either, owing to an early and prolific career as a punk. Skipping classes slowly turned into picking pockets, then street fighting, and finally into joyriding speeders, something that Zett excelled at even as a youngster. The young greaser found he had a knack not just for hotwiring and flying, but souping up vehicles too, in fact shop was the only subject at school he got passing grades in before dropping out.
Of course, once he was out of school, even the sky wasn't the limit for Zett, as he wrangled together a gang of schoolyard buddies and neighborhood kids to open up a mechanic's shop, the perfect front for a business in stripping, flipping, and selling stolen vehicles. Zett and his crew, now going by the Starbirds, operated as shipjackers, speeder thieves, and underground mechanics for local criminals, with plenty of time on set aside for illegal street racing, naturally.
It was a good setup for a time, but there was only so long Zett could stay content in the proverbial kiddy pool, trading fuel reactors for a few credits from stolen landspeeders. Even he can tell that something has shifted in the galaxy, new players are on the rise, and new opportunities are knocking on the door every day. Now, Zett is aiming to take his vehicular antics galaxy-wide, bringing his business into the fold of the Black Sun.
SKILLS:
Zett is an extremely talented pilot of speeders, swoops, and starships, having flown just about any civilian vehicle the galaxy has to offer at some point in his life. In addition to piloting, he's also an expert in repairing, hot-wiring, and enhancing vehicles of all shapes and sizes, skills which come in handy when it comes to trafficking in stolen rides. This has also given him some knowledge of general mechanics, navigation, and slicing, and he can modify a droid or a blaster as well as he can a swoop bike. Besides tinkering, Zett is handy with his fists or with close-ranged blasters, he can speak Basic, Huttese, and understands Binary, as well as being a remarkable dancer and singer.
