Zeta Station

Intent: To create a home base for Omega Pyre’s forces to train, plan and regroup. This base is intended to be in a backwater system, hidden from the enemy, but able to defend itself if need be until help arrives. This will provide also an RP location for Omega Pyre, and a place for further tech development.
Development Thread: If requested, will probably do one at a later point anyway.
Hero Unit: No
Manufacturer: Omega Industries
Model: Space Station
Affiliation: Omega Protectorate
Modularity: Can be refitted to include extra features if needed. The station
Production: Semi-Unique
Material: Durasteel
Description: Omega Pyre finds itself in an odd situation, one unique in galactic history. They are a company which has grown to such a level that they become a government almost by accident. In the process the Omega Protectorate was born, but Omega Pyre still existed as the military wing of that government.
One of the first priorities for OP was to find a base to operate from not so exposed and well known as Fondor. A space station was therefore suggested, but a location was needed for it. The location chosen was the excitingly named SX95675-18 system, a star system explored centuries before, but found to be worthless. The six planets orbiting the red sun were either death worlds or had no viable minerals to mine. The system was marked and forgotten, like so many others in the galaxy.
To Omega Pyre though, it was perfect. Relatively close to Thyferra, and also near a nebula which hindered tracking, the system formed an important outpost.
The station itself was constructed in just over a year. It was of the traditional wheel type, looking like a spinning top toy. The inner hub contained the control, sensor and shielding controls as well as the reactor. The outer rim contained numerous hangers, laboratories, living areas and training zones. In all it could hold up to 25,000 passengers, but was usually far less full. Instead, its main purpose is training, research and repair. The planet, affectionately nicknamed Gehenna has an airless moon which has been the target of numerous weapons tests.
As far as weaponry is concerned, 12 turbolasers on the rim, one at each of the hours of the clock face, plus ten on the central hub. 120 quad laser cannons, one for each minute of the clock, on top and bottom of the wheel, plus 12 more on the hub.
In practice, the station can hold out for a short time against small opponents, but against even one Star Destroyer sized ship it would be eventually overwhelmed. Its purpose is not combat but stealth.

Classification: Space Station
Role: Command/Training Station

Hyperdrive Rating: N/A
Minimum Crew: 75
Optimal Crew: 1150
Armaments:
- 22 Turbolasers
- 132 quad laser cannons
Hangar: 48 attack craft permanently based at Zeta. Up to 20 standard sized gunships or transports can be docked, 50 if no attack craft are present. Four larger transports can be moored to the cardinal points of the ring.
Non-Combative Attachments: Deflector Shield Generator, Sensor Array, Long Range Communications Array, encrypted subspace radio transceiver
Passenger Capacity: 25,000
Cargo Capacity: 1 million metric tonnes.

Name: PB133-95675-18 (Official), Gehenna (Unofficial)
Region: Inner Rim
System: SX95675-18
Suns: One Medium Red. Name: SO441-95675-18.
Orbital Position: 3rd planet from the star.

Atmosphere: Type IV; Lethal to life.
Climate: Uninhabitable. The planet is totally devoid of life, and is covered in dense, lethal clouds of carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide, which sometimes falls as acid rain. The dense clouds and high pressure combine with brutal heat hot enough to melt lead. It is truly a hell amongst the stars.
Gravity: 0.9 Earth standard.
Primary Terrain: Mountains, plateaus. Occasional active volcanoes.

Sirella Valkner

Because I'm a plant.
Looks fine. Maybe even a little under armed depending on how a battery is defined (comparing it to the Golan I) So yeah this is good.

Approved.
