Zahari has been many things.
None of them good.
She was born the heir of a mafia family, one of numerous Kainite households who financed the dark lord's political schemes in the region. Little Zahari was the first in her bloodline to boast midi-chlorian count high enough to be noticed by their Sith overlords, and so she was considered something of a "prodigy" by the Kaan family. They had such high hopes and dreams for their daughter, the one meant to carry their name into glory, power and riches.
The acolyte chaffed at the magnitude of her new responsibilities, always pushing herself to the limit to make them proud. It wasn't until she entered the service of Darth Keres that she made any headway.
At the Academy of Illogical logic, Keres taught her many abilities the strange and occult variety, and just like her secret master, Zahari began to invade the dreams of her rivals, tormenting some and swaying others. She was noticed, she felt powerful, her family was proud, the young Sith was about to achieve everything she wanted.
Until the governor of her home, Darth Anathemous, betrayed the Kainate.
Fearing further unrest, the Kaan family sent their daughter to Korriban where they believed she would be safe.
Except she never arrived.
Zahari was captured by the republic mid flight, and held on Naboo for questioning. She remained there for some time in custody of Jedi master Brandyn Sal-Soren, where she remained for quite some time.
It is here that she met Cerys Dyn, taking a strange liking to the padawan who eventually offered her a deal she could not refuse. faced with a continued sentence or "rehabilitation", Zahari took her chances with the Jedi.
Though conflicted, the young togruta has begun her journey as a Jedi Padawan, battling with her old ways and doubts.
Zahari has been many things.
Perhaps she can be better.
