  • HitBox: When coming from above or below the YV-350, its large circular silhouette made it an easy target.
  • Stock Hyperdrive: The YV-350's stock class 5 hyperdrive was not only slow, but didn't have the fuel capacity for jumps within only a handful of parsecs.
  • Mothership: With its short-range hyperdrive it requires a mothership in its un-modified state
DESCRIPTION
A utility vessel that came stock with the YX-300 Industrial Freighter, the YV-350 was a small freighter whose sole role was to move freight or personnel from the larger vessel to a spaceport or space station. With the YX-300 too large to land at most commercial spaceports or taxed with exorbitant landing fees, the YV-350 was similar in size to regularly docked vessels and was able to make the trip while the mothership waited in orbit. After a surge in demand, the YV-300 was developed into a standalone ship by Kyprin Engineering Corporation where it saw use as a very cheap starter ship for up and coming private shippers and smugglers. Like all of Kyprin's vessels and like the company's forefathers at CEC, the YV-350 was an extremely versatile and modular vessel. Equipped stock with a rudimentary hyperdrive and light armament for its civilian classification, both legal and illegal modification kits were easy to obtain and apply which could turn the reliable secondary vessel into a heavily armed gunship or heavy-duty transport. When the YV-350 was docked with a YX-300 the two vessels shared power from the same robust reactor installed on the YX-300. This allowed for the crew of a YX-300 to operate the YV-350's auxiliary sensors and weapons as its own. With short ferry trips in mind but the capacity to grow alongside its crew, the YV-350 provided a flexible companion to any YX-300's crew. Its modularity meant that it could also serve similar functions on other large freighters.
