A late entry to the YT Series of light frieghters developed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation in 821 ABY. The vessel has a half-disc hull with it's cockpit located on the right hand side of the vessel. It contains space within for a max crew of eight, a month's worth of provisional storage, and up to 100 metric tons of cargo (including hidden compartments). The vessel was built for maneuverability first and foremost, allowing it access to tighter spaces, environmentally restricted landing, and some dogfighting capabilities, thought it is easily overwhelmed by faster starships. In line with other vessels in the YT line, the YT 7990 B is highly customizable, making it popular amongst smugglers and civilians alike. This modularity has given the vessel a slight negative reputation, as illegal modifications are easily made to the vessel after market. The light freighter was highly popular when first rolled out, but has since fallen into obscurity in favor of other YT models.
