Building a saber was one of the most important things in a jedi's life, they had to be as swift as the coursing river with all the force of a great typhoon, with all the strength of a raging fire and mysterious as the darkside of the moon.... Wait that wasn't right.... or was it she didn't really remember sitting there at the table in the mess hall as the jedi were assembled around her. Watching the scene play out. They had all been assembled and before she took some padawans out to explore the crystal caves and find their saber crystals well she had time to defend her title.

The sound of the mug getting set down for them was there, all of her attention on the hutt padawan across from her who had challenged the jedi knights record. With a look over her the small twi'lek looked every bit as awesome with the lekku twitching in excitement. her robes and tattoo's were interesting until the bowls and plates were set down in front of them. She let some of the energy and excitement show on her face before she was seeing on the clock she had over an hour before the padawans she was going to take were scheduled to arrive and meet her.

"Hmm guess I'll just have to skip to the best part." The hutt at her for a moment as her excitement showed and the sound of the bell came. The padawans around her gasped as they started eating and going at it. Leina beginning and letting the insatiable hole in her stomach pack it away as she ate with a small laugh. The hutt seemed dumbfounded for a time as the bowls started stacking up around her. The droids taking the bowls and bringing more as she took a sip of her drink before plowing into another.

The time continued to tick away and one of the judges spoke. "Hey hey bria no chipmunking in the cheeks." It was a look up finally as the hutt was barely halfway through their second tray of food and Leina was on her fourth seeing the fifth waiting in the wings until she spoke for a moment. "Hmm dessert." Oh yes the cake was there to eat and there was pudding as she started on it. Twenty minutes left until she was supposed to meet them in the mess hall clapping her hands together as her lekku twitched in excitement.

"And done." Leina tossed her arms up finishing the mug of cherry drink as there was some cheering and the hutt looked at her. They were used to many things but eating competitions was one thing where the twi'lek dominated compared to others. Even the large cake was there finished now before she stood up and was jumping around. "Oh yeah." Holding her arm out and giving a thumbs up to the ones cheering as she looked at the clock getting the small little makeshift trophy they had designed for fun.

Leina looked at the ones there as they were clearing out and she was expecting the padawans she was set to meet to either be there waiting for her or to arrive with the droids clearing the table. "Hmm that was good." She rubbed her belly while waiting there taking a small seat and leaning back a little with her small golden circlet around her lekku, the necklace making her feel calm and focused. Her ear cones were nie and covered with small patches of silk to go with her headdress. "Welcome to the twilight sepulcher, come and we'll be getting crystals today."

The Wicked City. Carved deep into the earth with a lattice of trees and a canopy of wide leaves above it. A city under the jungle. The black marble stones are covered in runes and writing. Ancient script that teaches the twilight disciples how to see without eyes and how to envision bending new light in the dark. The many stair ways and paths are wide, steep, and unwelcoming to human footfalls. They were not made for such small species. Having a distinctly larger feel than any Driver had seen before.

The Twilight Sepulcher. It wasn't really his kind of place.

"...Yo. You sure you can move after all that food?"

Driver smirked as he stepped up to [member="Leina Snowfire"] 's table. Folding his arms over his dark chest and nodding.

"Or should I say? Congratulations. ...I mean. It looks like you earned it."

Behind his brooding smile the tall man held a motion of contempt. Eating contests in hidden cities. Bah. Just what had he signed up for? These Silvers. You just never know with them. Their an odd bunch for sure.

He stood tall and proud, dressed as any inglorious spacer would. Exchanging a Corellian's stripped pants for the running glyphs of Po Denon's mythology. Though the spirit was the same. Wild. Untamed. Proud as an unbroken horse and twice as fast. Adam Driver was no washed-and-robed Padawan from the mother heart of Tython endearing. Nah. He was just a guy with a lightsaber and a few stark questions. Questions like, When do I get to punch something? And, What do you call a girl Twi'lek who just won an eating contest on Catia?

That last one. Yeah. The answer was apparently: Snowfire. A name which caused Driver to smile. Heh. Well then...

Here we go again.

 

[Celiana]

Shortly after arriving and making her way to the great hall Celiana saw the remains of what appeared to be an eating contest between a Hutt and.......a Twi'lek? What was more impressive or disturbing she had yet to decide; was that the Twi'lek had beaten the Hutt. Seeing droids start to clear things away Celiana quickly snagged a sandwich that interestingly enough hadn't been touched. There was a cocky and somewhat intriguing Jedi whom she noticed already had two sabers as well as the red-skinned Twi'lek who'd just won the eating competition and who was also apparently leading this expedition. Letting out the breath she'd been holding Celiana thought to herself, "Well let's begin."

Leina sat there and looked at the ones that were there with a smile on her face. "Oh I can still eat more, you got to have some fun between training and I am teaching them mental exercises or something." She moved standing up and felt her belly that was full shift with a small groan seeing the two padawans offering them a small look while she nodded. "yep yep lets go and see what we can find... we have all the fun stuff and there are adorable little bunny rats in the tunnels that collect the crystals." She offered a small smile leading the way and the massive temple city under the trees was filled. The other spires of the temple were there showing the different sects that had been brought it. Fallanassi, Matukai, disciples of twilight, Jensaari and the silver jedi in the middle spire that was over the staircase leading down into the crystal caves as she moved and lept landing on the metal rails sliding down it as she sat there. "Wee."

 

[Celiana]

Celiana followed her Twi'lek guide couldn't help but feel somewhat free at how.....peppy she was. Shooting a quick adventurous look at the other young man she too leaped onto the rails sliding down after the Twi'lek. "This is where the fun begins." She thought as she slid down the rails....

Driver stepped up to the stairwell and just shook his head,

"Ho boy. Gonna be one of those days."

He waltzed down the stairs at a jog. Clearly dumbfounded at there adventure already. Indeed, he went down the list of growing questions in his mind. One. Where the heck where they? He'd never heard of this place in his life. Two. Who was Snowfire? Three. What were her qualifications? (Aside from bingeing that is...) And four. Why hadn't he brought any supplies with him? I mean... Should have at least packed a lunch or something. Geez.

He shook his head again and trotted down the stairs. Bah! Nevermind. Just try to keep with the two crazy ladies. Yeah. That's all the Mission Objectives he needed right now anyways. The rest of the answers would just have to wait.

She came to the entrance to the lower sections of the crystal caves while she looked at the two of them and there were equipment packs. Seimei had made some very nice things to wear if they needed them and provided plenty in ways of exploration gear given their reclamation specialists were trained for these purposes. She was walking and seeing them over a few of the things as the hum of the crystals stretched out in large chunks protruding from the cave walls. Sections of the cave covered with the amberite crystal growth that was singing with each other where they didn't collect it but instead just held it at the ready for everything. Leina was walking through it and getting to work on some of the things. "So these are the crystal caves under the twilight seplucher, a whole lot of work on some of the things since the crystals go throughout the entire moon."

 

[Celiana]

Coming to the bottom of the stairs Celiana looked around for a moment letting her eyes adjust. The soft glow of crystals illuminated the caverns they were in. Noticing some equipment packs as well as what looked to be exploration gear Celiana decided to broach the topic of what exactly they'd be doing here. "Excuse me Leina, what exactly is the process of collecting these saber crystals? Will we be heading further into the caves?"

Driver leaned down and began rummaging through the packs. Strange. I guess they really had been expected after all? He cocked his head towards [member="Celiana"] and nodded. Good to see he wasn't the only with questions at this point in the game.

He didn't find anything harmful or suspicious in the pack, so he hurled it up and put it on. Having removed only a protein bar and stuffed it into his pockets. It was the only supply he needed right now.

"Yo Twi'lek." He called after [member="Leina Snowfire"] , "Chill out a moment yeah. Girl's got questions. ...And ya know, while you're at it? Mind telling us what we're doing here? Shouldn't we be on Ilum or something? What's the rush darlin'?"

The man's voice was a bit punkish. Which was just fine with him. It was emphasis he wanted to give right now anyway. I mean,.. Driver was all good and ready to jump into the deep end. He could swim with the sharks like the best of them. But this red Twi'lek gal had just bulldozed her way into these strange caverns without so much as introductions, or an explanation.

It was starting to rub the pilot the wrong way too.

Leina stopped and looked back at them. "There is a twi'lek here.... don't tell [member="Valiens Nantaris"]... she is obsessed with them and the mere mention can get him launching search parties to find them and their stuff.... I don't know what the stuff is but he seems to like it." Nodding her head while looking at them and keeping most of her attention on things. "Well for removing the crystals you should be able to find one that calls to you and you'll know. Most of the large ones will get small pieces chipped off of them that you can use." She was nodding her head while getting a pack and skipping around a little with them before she watched a few things. "Also we might find a Har-Ra-Da down here. They are supposed to be on the moons and all over but they are tricky and large.... and sleepy.... and large... or are supposed to be large."

 

[Celiana]

Sharing the other padawans' irritation Celiana said, "Yeah we get it the creature is large." Giving a short nod to the other padawan Celiana walked over to the other equipment pack and after rummaging around in it she pulled out a small gear bag which she clipped to her belt. Stuffing several tools a portable sonic chisel along with a collapsible rock hammer along with a pack of glow-rods into the pouch before zipping it shut.

Pulling out a protein bar and stuffing it into a cargo pocket on her left leg Celiana reached over and checked the charge on the blaster that sat holstered against her right thigh. Then shouldering the equipment pack she opened herself to The Force. Forming her thoughts into an arrow she fired her question towards the other padawan. "If we run into problems can I count on you to back me up? I'm not sure our....guide is totally there." Keeping the connection to The Force and the other padawan open Celiana turned to the red-skinned Twi'lek and asked, "what kinds of crystals and challenges can we expect to find in there?"

Driver nodded to [member="Celiana"] ,

"Yeah. I'll catch ya. But... Uh. I have no idea what a Mara-Da, or whatever she said, is?"

He could only shrug. [member="Leina Snowfire"] was running this show, after all. So while Adam would have loved to offer his aged confidence to Celiana right now? He didn't really have any to spare at this very moment. Just... Sort of following along and hoping for the best.

Which,

Was a terrible, terrible plan by the way. Meh. He lifted his chin to Snowfire and shrugged,

"Just promise us you've done this before, Ryloth. Okay?"

Right now. He needed all the positive reinforcement he could get. The last thing he wanted to do was to rely on the Lightsabers on his belt to see himself out of this.

Leina looked at the woman with a look on her face. "Of course I am not over there... I am over here by this rock.... hello rock." She waved while spinning around and hearing them. She blew out a little. "Of course I have done this before, I am not an idiot. I was the youngest padawan ever to reach the rank of knight within the jedi order. I helped when the Rexes captured grandmaster Ben Watts and was given a tribunal promotion my second day in the order." She was ten, it was well known to some having some work and... yeah she didn't know how much they knew of jedi history. "Now come on, we have crystals and stuff... there is stuff down here. Just remember if it looks dangerous to use you head, stay there and call for me. I can find you, if you get lost do the same thing. I have been down here and you do not want to run into one of those large dragon snakes that like to eat little padawans before flying into the sky."

 

[Celiana]

Dragon snakes?! .....Lovely. Well between the possibility of a giant lion turtle looking creature and dragon snakes this was shaping up to be quite an adventure. Turning to their red-skinned guide Celiana asked, "hey, Reddie do we have any maps of the caves?" The other padawan was apparently rubbing off on her in terms of mannerisms.

Shrugging her pack further up onto her shoulders so that it sat closer against her Celiana turned over her left forearm checking her datapad that sat inside the bracer cover her forearm. Absently tapping a button bringing to life the ghostly blue holographic display she swiped through the data she'd copied from the Enclave on Yutan. Everything from their files on Saber crystals as well as her sketches for possible hilt design were still there. Thinking to herself "hopefully I can find some unique crystals for trade items."

She had a contact that was willing to trade her parts for her future sabers if she could bring back crystals or materials like scales,ivory, and such from exotic beasts. Waiting for the response from their Twi'lek guide Celiana opened herself fully to the force in anticipation for what was to come next.

Driver couldn't help but blink. Grandmaster Watts? Wasn't that a Republic Era name? I guess that put [member="Leina Snowfire"] as a Jedi long before the Silvers even formed their Order. It was certainly a name from a time before the Coalition. Huh. Weird.

He rubbed his chin and counted back the years. Huh. Yeah. Not only did that make Snowfire one of the quickest to reach Knight Rank, it also made her one of the oldest people around without a Masters promotion. Which... Was actually pretty normal. Given the circumstances. Nothing had been the same since the One Sith arose and took Coruscant. Then their was the Rapture and the Sundering of Corellia too. Meh. Yeah. All of the Orders since then had been acting a bit strange. Go figure. They didn't call it the Chaos Galaxy for nothing. Crazy times ya'll. Crazy times.

...

Then Driver smirked as [member="Celiana"] called Leina, Reddie. Ha. Good one. Reddie. Could almost pass for a racist comment, if you fancy that type of xeno underground. Clever girl.

"Reddie. Heh. Nice."

He nodded his head and shrugged his backpack. I guess you could say that Celiana was growing on him too.

"Okay well... I'm in no mood for dragon snakes today. Whatever their name might be. But?.. If you say the crystals are down? I suppose it's down we have to go. Nothing helping it."

Adam walked past the group and deeper into the caverns. Pretty as a peach. Eager to get a little deeper in and finally find something worth talking about. Suddenly, he came to a quick stop before turning around and looking at Snowfire.

"...Umm. Which way was down, again?"

Taking a moment to listen to them that they were working on things. She kept most of her attention on some of the things before she was looking around and touching the crystals. "Maps.... hmmm we might have one. Though it is easier to ask the crystals which way to go." She stayed there for a moment and was working with some of the things while her hands were out and the plants were growing larger, following her hands as she skipped along with the amberite within the crystals that was following her as she was leading the way down towards the sections of cave with crystals. "Down is this way, just follow the crystals and see where the amberite stops, those crystals are the things to go after."

 

[Celiana]

Having left herself open to The Force Celiana turned and looked towards the crystal formations on the walls. Celiana noticed that there seemed to be a faint blue hue surrounding the crystals as well as a light humming sound coming from them. Shrugging the equipment pack forwardon her shoulders Celiana walked over towards the crystal formations growing from the walls. Glancing back at the other padawan with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes she said, "Further down the rabbit hole eh?"

Driver winked,

"You know it."

Advised to followed the Amberite, Adam did his best best to follow instructions. He found a fork in the road and went left. Understanding rather well that perhaps [member="Celiana"] might choose to go right, should it suit her better. He was being guided now. Going where the Force pulled him. He crossed a bridge made of thin rock and couldn't help but stop to admire the view. Sure enough, many meters below him were those creatures [member="Leina Snowfire"] had warned him about. Lounging about the underground caverns like lions keeping cool. But they paid the human no mind. In fact, Adam had the sneaking suspicion that they were more interested in napping than pursuing anything human right now.

Which was just fine in his book. Bleh. Monsters. Gross.

He pushed on past the bridge and into an area that contained a small underground lake. Here the colors really dazzled and Driver knew he had found the perfect spot for mining. Crystal clear waters with the rippling vibrations of the Force everywhere. Just the way he'd imagined it.

"Okay. Now this..? Yeah. This, I can work with."

He smirked and dropped his pack. Time to go exploring.

Leina was watching them as she listened to the creatures in the caves, her attention going while she followed the one padawan and looked down seeing the Ra-Set as they were laying in the mudding underground river. It was close to the mating season she was guessing while the Amberite disappeared when she stopped at one of the sections looking over the crystals that were there with a smile on her face. She remained there and was quite staying very still while her hand came out. "Shhh be very very quite." She pointed as there were other sounds, the tunnels here where the crystals grew were not natural they were made by creatures and the larger things gave large eggs. She was pointing towards the large eggs in the mudding waters below that were propped against rocks with the large snakes that had come down here. "Grn-Dl are rare but they make the tunnels here and are not something you want coming after you. If the eggs are here then we should be careful."

 

[Celiana]

Her senses still open to The Force and the crystals still emanating that faint blue glow as well as the faint humming Celiana had heard earlier she started out opposite of the other young padawan. Following after him for a bit Celiana traced the fingers of her left hand over the Amberite formations until she heard a whispered "Right towards your own light." Realizing it was probably the force speaking to her through the crystals Celiana took the right fork in the tunnel.

Following it for as long as there was light she came to a drop off into what looked to be utter darkness. Then again, "Take a leap of faith The Force is an endless wellspring to draw strength from you need to take the plunge into its waters." Looking out over the precipice Celiana walked back down the tunnel and after humming the first verse to Vode An in Mando'a she took a running start and leaped out over the edge pulling her hands into a wedge as she dove for what seemed at least ten seconds then she hit the water that she'd hoped would be there.

Having blown out through her nose as she'd entered she swam to the surface and pulled herself to a rough shore. Reaching the shore she pulled herself slightly out of the water and opened the bag of tools she'd brought with her. Activating a glow-rod then looking up Celiana was taken aback at the enormity of the crystal formations around her. There were many different colors faintly glowing at her. Blues, greens, yellow, and purple to name a few. Shrugging off her equipment pack she looked out over the water she'd just pulled herself out of and saw a razor sharp crystal formation she'd barely missed. "The Force is your ally and a powerful one it is. The Force will be with you, always." Turning back towards the crystal formations on the fairly large sized island she'd landed on Celiana brought her right hand in a closed fist against her left palm which sat open vertically and bowed with respect.

She'd found where she would look for her crystals it was time to set up a small camp and explore a bit.
