CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
MAHPOREEM HELD SPACE
OBJECTIVE: MEET THE DROID

Unpredictable. Unhinged. Dangerous.

That was how Nathea Nathea had been described to Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane . Apparently based of a D-13 Class Assassin Droid, there was something special about Nathea Nathea that one seldom found in other droids of her type, something that was of particular interest to the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant.

Nathea Nathea might just be the first droid to know what it is to be human.

For all intents and purposes, it seemed that Nathea Nathea was able to experience true emotion, not just a series of estimations or preset reactions one might see in other droids. Nathea Nathea could feel pain, come to anger, express regret and the many other emotions that made organic beings organic. The Imperial Remnant was hoping to have an opportunity to study the droid or at least observe the reasons that made her the way that she uniquely was. The working theory was that if her subroutines could be replicated in Mahporeenian droids and reproduced and modified, it could greatly increase the combat potential of Mahporeem's mechanized units, which the information used to make them that way could then be forwarded to The Lord of Hunger The Lord of Hunger and the N&Z Umbrella Corporation.

The hard part was getting Nathea Nathea into one place without having her try to kill everyone within her immediate vicinity.

That was why Ronhar and his men had been deployed to one of Mahporeem's numerous orbital facilities, because if Nathea Nathea went rouge and tried to attack them, the damage could be contained to a single location. Ronhar truly hoped it wouldn't come to that, but nothing was certain, and everything would hinge upon the way she acted when she arrived on the station.

D-13 "Athena" Class Assassin Droid
OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE

Nathea Nathea The mission was simple: gather data and intelligence on Maphoreem Station for a possible raid planned by her contractor. Nothing more. Get in, collect the information, get out.

Unfortunately, Nathea was now trapped inside the very station she had been sent to infiltrate, with multiple patrols searching for her.Capture was not an option. Neither was allowing herself to be studied.

When the first squad finally cornered her and ordered her to surrender, Nathea simply stared at them for a moment. Then she moved. She rushed forward with frightening agility, weaving between blaster fire before reaching the nearest trooper. Her hand seized his head, and with a sudden twist, his neck snapped. She immediately pulled his lifeless body in front of herself as a shield, letting the remaining blaster fire tear into their own comrade before moving again.Within seconds, the squad was dead.

Nathea calmly stepped over the bodies, her holographic face flickering into a new identity as she disappeared deeper into the station.

The reports quickly became confusing for Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane
First, several troopers were reported as having gone rogue. Then came a report claiming that those same troopers had been killed. Minutes later, another transmission identified one of the supposedly dead soldiers as a traitor.

The inconsistencies continued to multiply.

Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane knew what kind of droid they were dealing with. Nathea Nathea model was infamous for its ability to copy and emulate the appearance, voice, and mannerisms of other individuals.

That meant every report had to be questioned.

Every soldier could be Nathea Nathea .

Every dead trooper could have been Nathea Nathea .

And every transmission coming from inside the station could already be compromised.

If the Captain wanted to speak with the lone droid, he would first have to trap her somewhere she couldn't escape And, more importantly, somewhere she couldn't make him wonder if the person standing in front of him was really one of his own soldiers.

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
MAHPOREEM HELD SPACE
OBJECTIVE: MEET THE DROID

Things had gone disastrously from the moment Nathea Nathea arrived on the station.

No one really knew what it had been that set the droid off, but the minute that the group Ronhar had sent to make contact with them arrived, Nathea Nathea went berserk. Everything had been caught on camera, naturally: Sergeant Tapwis welcoming Nathea Nathea aboard the station, Nathea Nathea blankly staring at the sergeant in return, and then her lunging at him with frighteningly quick speed, snapping the poor's man neck as she used his corpse to shield herself from the immediate blaster fire that his squadmates had begun producing. It hadn't mattered what they did to defend themselves, of course, and within a few seconds the entire squad was dead as Nathea Nathea assumed the identities of one of the fallen men before disappearing somewhere into the station.

That sent the station into an immediate lockdown.

Reports were coming in that Nathea Nathea was changing her identity every so often, meaning that the footage that the Imperial Remnant had of her initially changing appearance was likely inaccurate at this point. In order to be able to identify who was Mahporeenian and was not, all soldiers were now required to "challenge" one another upon meeting any unidentified squads or personnel, using a code phrase that Nathea Nathea would have no way of knowing as she indiscriminately continued killing anyone in her path. There were many such phrases in Mahporeenian usage, and hopefully Nathea Nathea would not be able to catch on quick enough to figure them out.

Blast door after blast door began slamming shut all across the station, rows of them closing one after another in order to try and trap the droid before it could move further into the station. Cries of "Stardust!" could be heard from the soldiers present as the answer was given, or failing that, those who could not remember the password were blasted into oblivion.

The station itself was not particularly large, and it was only a matter of time before the rogue droid was found and appropriately dealt with...

OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE

Nathea Nathea rushed through the corridors as door after door began sealing behind her, yet she couldn't understand why. Nothing about the situation justified it, but something deep within her systems had suddenly activated, her survival protocols screaming at her to find an exit. She had no logical reason to flee, but every part of her code insisted that she had to. After cutting down another patrol in a brief and brutal encounter, she finally reached what appeared to be a hangar—only to stop as she realized she had nowhere left to go. Turning around, she found more troopers pouring into the room and immediately lowered herself into a fighting stance, surrounded and cornered like a trapped beast, yet still very capable of tearing its way out.

Her attention soon settled on their leader. His tactical response had been surprisingly quick, driving her exactly where he wanted her, and for a machine built to kill, Nathea found herself almost impressed. As he entered the hangar, she locked eyes with him before the holographic disguise covering her body suddenly flickered away, revealing her damaged droid form. Her head twitched slightly as her voice emerged distorted and unnaturally stretched, as if several voices were struggling to speak through the same broken speaker.

"You... Data tells me you are the one I was supposed to meet here today. Defense protocol activated... unknown reason. Deaths of many..."

She paused, seemingly searching through her own corrupted thoughts before simply adding

",..not important. Talking now."

Her posture relaxed slightly, hands lowering into a less threatening position, though every part of her remained ready to strike at the slightest sign of danger. Her eyes never left him as she tilted her head and finally asked,

"Reason for meeting. Give now."

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
MAHPOREEM HELD SPACE
OBJECTIVE: MEET THE DROID

"Hangar Bay 12! She's in there!"

The lockdown had worked, corralling Nathea Nathea into a dead end thanks to the series of blast doors that had activated, leaving the droid with literally no where else to go on the station. Dozens of security personnel had shown up at this point, each soldier training their blaster at the rogue droid least she act violently again toward the Imperial Remnant forces.

Ronhar quick joined them, and a tense standoff ensued, with the Imperial Remnant forces furious with the way she had acted but still hesitant to destroy her due to the valuable technology she held within her droid frame. Nathea Nathea twitched and moved erratically as she dropped her holographic disguise, and she began speaking with Ronhar.

"You... Data tells me you are the one I was supposed to meet here today. Defense protocol activated... unknown reason. Deaths of many...not important. Talking now. Reason for meeting. Give now."

"You've killed a number of my men", Ronhar began calmly as he kept his eyes locked on the droid and his weapon aimed at her, waiting for the slightest hint of movement or hostile action. "You've killed quite a few of them, and yet you're still standing. Keep in mind if I wanted to destroy you, I would have done so already by having my men open fire right here and now and blast you into a thousand tiny pieces. But I haven't, and you're still intact. If you want to keep it that way, you will follow my instructions."

Ronhar slowed reached down into his pocket and pulled out a Restraining Bolt that he rolled over to Nathea Nathea .

"That's a Restraining Bolt. I'm sure you know what it does. You're going to pick that up and place it on yourself. Only then will we continue to speak. Failure to comply will result in your immediate and utter destruction. You have ten seconds".

Everyone in the room visually tensed up at the exchange of words, unsure how Nathea Nathea would react...
