Yet another ruined temple

Jack piloted the old Nu-class Attack Shuttle to the surface of Zoist, the last time he took a drop pod to a temple he rode it through the roof and through about four floors of valuable books and artifacts, this time he didn't want that to happen so he bought an old shuttle, currently the only one carried aboard the D.D.C. Hot Drop there wasn't the room for many with the hanger bay being crammed to the brim with drop pods. Jack checked the readouts on the sensors it was fridged outside but he was in the right spot, the ship veered violently as Jack stopped paying attention for a few moments, Jack put both hands back on the controls and correcting the path as several alarms blared and warring lights blinked in the cockpit and Jack wished that he had an extra pilot on the pay roll, or at least spent a bit time frakking around with the couple of mothballed simulators in the back of the ship.

Jack put the shuttle down just a little too hard causing the entire thing to shake violently and casing him to bump his head on seat's head rest. "Karking hell!"

Jack collected his belongings and exited the shuttle, stopping only to send a quick message to the ship that he had landed safely, he wanted to keep his sith shavit, so he never told them why he was really here, just that it was a job, a job that was for him alone.

Jack sealed the helmet on his Aegis Armour, something he had recently acquired for the 701st, the armour was comfortable, efficient, had plenty of features, but not enough to bloat it and confuse the average solider, it even had a small jet pack, not enough for for sustained fight, but plenty for a short boost, the 701st also had a backup, a full scale jetpack for if they were operating somewhere that required it, although for now Jack left it behind, he doubted he would need it inside. Jack pushed open a large stone door to the darkened interior, he could have easily cut the open with his lightsaber, but he didn't want to start destroying the place, not yet anyway, although something felt off about this place, Jack pulled out his lightsaber, in such close quarters he doubted he would have time to pull a gun with enough stopping power to kill anything that wanted him dead, so for now he would risk it with a weapon he was unfamiliar with, but was more suited to the task at hand.

Jack descended downwards, to the heart of the temple, he had an uneasy feeling about the place, same as the last temple he was in, although this one has something extra mixed in, it felt, it felt like death, like a battlefield long forgotten, but with a dark, twisted, extra sensation.

Jack crept farther into the temple, on the motion sensor on his helmet kept throwing up what Jack could only assume false signals, every time he looked there was nothing there, but there was a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that there was something wrong. Jack activated his lightsaber, this was the first time he had ever activated it with the intent to kill, it made the crimson glow emitted by the blade just that much more eerie. But the extra little light did help him see better, and he saw, zombies? What looked like hundreds of them, what confused him the most though, is that none had attacked yet, almost like they, like they were waiting for something, him to attack first maybe? They must have been part of test, or some extreme luck on Jack's part that they were ignoring him so long as he ignored them, whatever was happening he didn't want to push it and pressed on past them into where the dark side felt stronger. He pushed open another door to some sort of meditation chamber, presumably where whatever dark lord used to live here communed with the dark side, just like Jack was supposed to.

Jack shut the door behind him, took off of his helmet and set it down on the floor next him as he sat down in the centre of the room. He had some rudimentary ideas on how to commune with the force, he had did it a little on Krayiss Two under his original teacher, Grace, he idly wondered what had happened to her before clearing his mind and attempting to open it to the force.

Jack felt his mind slipping from his body and into the force, it felt like jumping into a cold river and the shock almost snapped him back into reality but he held himself firm and sunk back in, Jack began to hear things again, just like on Krayiss 2, although this time he couldn't even make out the words, either they were in a language he couldn't even wrap his mind around or it wasn't words. He breathed in and tried to listen but quickly found himself quickly frustrated and losing concentration again.

"Karking force!" Jack shouted out in frustration.

Taking a drink from a flask on his hip Jack tried again, this was so frustrating, Jack had only gotten a very rudimentary amount of training, and the literally nothing else since then and the told him that he need to come her and strengthen his connection to the dark side, like he knew how to do that. Grace told him that the dark side pulled from his emotions, so rather than calm and focus himself Jack continued trying to channel his frustrations and reached back out again, this time it went much more smoothly, and rather than like jumping into a cold river it was like stepping into a nice shower after a hard work out.

Jack began to feel weird, like his body was no longer listening to his mind, he could no longer feel himself breathing, or his tongue in his mouth, or the million other little annoyances that came with just existing, he started hearing the sounds again, although now he could make them out they were voices, but far away and muffled, like he was listening through a door like a kid trying to hear what their parents were getting them for their birthday. Jack tried to listen closer but just found himself more angry and frustrated that he couldn't make out anything beyond the muffled sound, once again he was snapped back to reality as he lost connection, and he was pissed, Jack was not a patient man, and his his anger the threw his helmet across the room, not with his hand but with his mind, realising this made Jack crack a wicked smile, he might not be making progress in the way he intended to, but it was progress, it was only when his emotions flared up like this had be been able to use the force for anything physical, he'd have to focus on those emotions all the time until it came as natural as walking or shooting.
