To the back of the castle lies a bakehouse and a brewery and there are several towers on the sides of the castle. The kitchens of the castle is usually one of the busiest places and are large enough to feed everyone who lives within the castle walls. To the front of the courtyard are the stables which hosts many different types of equines. The keep lies in the back part of the castle and is where the royal children stay.

Alinnel
Alinnel is home to the noble families of Tari. There are many apartments for the midwives and several libraries. The majority of the buildings in Alinnel are mansions which serve as homes to the noble families and their servants. Nusku
Nusku is the second largest continent in Xasuri. Nusku is well known for its forests and agriculture. The continent is where the majority of the food grows and is distributed to the other continents. It can be said thtat most Nusku cities smell like flowers.

Naglou
Naglou is the capital city of Nusku. It is a big city surrounded by walls and many gates and it is quartered and separated by its main streets. The buildings are built fairly close togehter. There are many lavish temples temples scattered across the city and the town is famous for its music and is said to brew the best Xasurian wine all across the planet. There are many guards loitering the city however they tend to look very bored. The locals are cheerful and friendly and there is very little crime that goes on in Naglou. The main export of the city is wine and food and its economy is strong. Although the ruling royal family resides in Tari, there is small castle for the council members that runs Naglou. The religious influence in Naglou is still high and their streets are clean.

Karr Arena
Karr Arena is a large circular Arena with five gates (northwest, southwest, east, west, and south). The arena could seat 8150 guests and is often used for sports and fights. The arena is rather large and has three cages in it. There are several traps which can be controlled by the game master. Some of these traps include electrified floor sections and acid pits.

Higle Lagoon
Higle Lagoon is considered to be the holiest and most sacred place on Xasuri. The lagoon is protected by a member of the clergy of all times and can only be accessed on special occasions. Those who wish to enter the lagoon must be given access by the high council of the clergy. The lagoon is also called the “golden lagoon” for its strange golden waters (an unexplained phenomena) which is said to have healing properties (although there is no proof to support this).

Mari
Mari is the smallest continent on Xasuri and is where the Great Mari prison is located. There is not much to be found in Mari.

Hani
Hani is a very small city surrounded by stone walls with several large gates. The city is fairly silent and the locals are found to be mildly xenophobic and don’t often travel. Hani rarely exports or imports anything as the continent is mainly a piece of land that holds prisoners. The leading council member of Mari lives in a great mansion on the far end of the city and is said to be fairly corrupt. Hani is known to be the least religious city on the planet.

Great Mari Prison
The Great Mari Prison is a heavily guarded place that holds worst criminals from all over the planet. It is not the only prison on the planet but is the most well known and secure one. Although Xasuri is generally known to be peaceful especially with the strict government, criminals still cannot be prevented. The Great Mari Prison guards are known to be strict with the prisoners, however it can be said that they do not mistreat them in any way. The prison features a school within its walls that focus on educating and reshaping the criminals.

Hargi
Hargi is the continent wherein most of the mines are found. The finest gems are found in Hargi and Mudi is the city with the highest gem export.

Mudi
Mudi is an average sized city and is the only capital that isn’t enclosed in walls. Most foreigners prefer to stay in Mudi due to it having the most lenient government. Buying Xasurian gems is considerably cheaper in Mudi and its neighbouring towns. It is a fairly decent place and the locals are very friendly. Although there are not many shrines here, the people are still considered to be fairly religious.

Crevua
Crevua is a small city enclosed in a wooden fence with weak gates known for its thriving night life and abundance of illegal goods. Crevua is populated with the poorest of the poor and questionable activity often happens here. Though there is a government official in this town, he is fairly corrupt and often hides the suspicious activities from the other members of the council. The streets are littered with beggars and people often keep their house windows shuttered. There are few guards here and crime is fairly high.

Zarr Hotel
Zarr Hotel is a Hotel found in Eraif, the red light district of Xasuri. It is considered to be a good place although the drink, food, and rooms are overpriced. Their bar has a good variety of drinks and is said to offer exotic meals. The rooms are spacious and clean and are almost always occupied by non-sober guests. It is also the most popular hotel in the country making it quite crowded and loud. Although Xasurians shame upon sex and public displays of affection, the hotel does offer dancing girls as an attraction. The bartenders are said to be generous with their drinks and the hotel is fairly clean. Seeing as Eraif is the only place where gambling is legal, the gambling in hotels like the Zarr is still heavily controlled by the local government.

Culture:
Before wealth, the people of Xasuri are very family oriented and will often put their family before their other obligations. Because of this Xasurians often focus on making good family friends in hopes of the two families connecting through marriage. Xasurians are known for treating their wealthy very well, however those who are less fortunate are often looked down upon and moved to poor areas. Xasurians love art and have high respect for artists, often paying large amounts of money to original art pieces to proudly display in their homes. Xasurians also shame upon gambling and associates it with the lower class. At the same time, they see people who are emotional as mentally ill.

Xasurians look down on public display of affection, often shaming people from having relationships. Xasurians often only have relationships for political purposes. People of Xasuri are very good at controlling their emotions and do not let their emotions get the best of them. At the same time, Xasurians love their planet and the majority of people in the planet will choose to never leave it unless it is absolutely necessary. Although the majority of the technology is imported due to the shortage of scientists; Xasurians try to improve on what they are given and try their best not to be dependent on other planets.

Politics:
Popular Issue: Personal Freedom
Stability: Extremely Stable
Personal Freedoms: Decent
Scandals: Infrequent
Foreign Relations: Good

Xasurian follows a monarchy, the royal family ruling over the planet. The leading monarch, who is usually the king, rules with absolute power over every continent and chooses the people in the council. The Queen usually takes control when the King is absent. Males are given priority in order of succession. The ruling family rules alongside the Ruling Council of Xasuri. Council members and their families are required to move to the different cities of their rule unless they rule alongside the royal family in Tari. Council members are allowed to alternate and when they are no longer appointed, they may retire comfortably in the palace grounds unless they’re exiled.

The Royal Family is in charge of appointing people on the council. Each council members if given a city to rule and their respective families are treated as royalty in those cities however they are not given the title “King and Queen” and merely called Councillor.

Although there is an overarching royal family, there are also several families which are considered royal. council members are considered royal and their families are often given the same treatment the royal family recieves in their respective continent. Noble families are also given high importance since they’re the only eligible pools of people members of the royal families may marry, the children in the royal family are often forced to marry for the sake of power and class seeing as affection is considered taboo.

However, once the eldest son becomes King, him and his family become the immediate royal family leaving the rest of his family to be demoted to simply being local nobility. However, it is customary for his siblings to take on ranks as council members. However, if the King is killed within five years into his rule, then the next sibling will rule the country instead of his wife.

The king often holds a meeting with every council member once every 150 days in the palace. Corruption is highly discouraged as the people look down on dishonesty so any suspicious activity is usually reported within the year or confessed during the meeting. If corruption is found, the person who committed the crime is usually exiled to the Great Mari Prison.

Law Enforcement:
Criminals are usually sent to small jail holding cells within their cities for a set period of time if the crime they’ve committed is considered small and they’re usually set free after paying a fine or bail. Punishments are kept tracked of and are recorded. The people who work for law enforcement are paid handsomely to prevent corrupted and citizens often treat the enforcers with respect. Guilds are also looked down upon.

Military:
The military serves mainly as the planets’ national defenses and focus on space. The strength of the military is average, and their main units are small, stealthy spaceships. The majority of the soldiers volunteer are volunteers and the ranks are often elected by their subordinates. Soldiers are also paid well. The military relies heavily on clever tactics and the use of blasters. They are famous for their fondness of diplomacy. Each division contains 20 squadrons of 200 soldiers. Although there have not been any intergalactic wars involving Xasuri, the military is fully capable and ready to defend the planet at any time.

Religion:
Higletism
Higletism is a patriarchal polytheistic religion that primarily focuses on spreading the religion and converting others (although the 80% of Xasuri is religious). Higletists worship their gods through solemn prayers at private and public shrines and also dedicate songs and theatrical performances towards them. The religion is practiced and believed by most and there are usually plenty of holidays dedicated to the gods. They mostly celebrate days of the major deities, historical events, past miracles, solstices, and martyrs.

Major Holidays:
Zankrax is a holiday celebrated during the Kamaria second crescent moon of winter and is associated with the Zankro, God of Wind and Earth. Some traditions would include the public playing of instruments and theatrical performances.

Konzra is a holiday celebrated on the first Taigi full moon of the year. It involves a large festival dedicated to Konzra, the god of Wealth and is traditionally celebrated to pray for prosper. However, as of recently it has instead become another way for people to capitalize on goods sold in the festival.

Bax is a solemn historical holiday celebrated on the 97th day of the year. This holiday usually is celebrated in memory of the original royal family uniting the continents and bringing order onto Xasuri.

Isur is the holiday celebrated in celebration of them defeating the guild Xonsha, people celebrate this annually on the 156th day of the year. The holiday is usually celebrated with a large banquet thrown by the people of every city.

Ruling Deities:
Higol, the Father of The Gods
Higol is also known as the untouchable god. He has many temples scattered around Xasuri in his name. He is beautiful, with dark skin and flowing blonde hair. His eyes are a bright gold and he is known for choosing humans as the gifted race because they are known for the ability to wield the force. It is also said that those who are force sensitive are blessed by him.

Konzra, the God of Wealth
A surprisingly ugly god with ashen skin and shoulder length russet hair with gold eyes. He is tall with broad-shoulders and always has a smug look on his face. He is worshipped by the majority of people in Xasuri although it is unknown if other religions follow him in other parts of the galaxy. There are many myths involving him and Zankro, his younger brother.

Zankro, The God of Wind and Earth
Is a surprisingly plain god with bronze skin and platinum blonde hair. His eyes are the color of the skies and has almost as many followers as his older brother Konzra. Zankro is probably the nicer out of the two gods and many commoners pray to him regularly.

Important Deities: Anxo ,The Goddess of Souls; Nugra, The God of Royalty; Xantor,The God of Wishes

Although no one has historically been spoken to by the gods, the people believe that they have interacted with a chosen few; namely the original royal family. They believe the gods answer prayers although prefer not to regularly interact with the people. There is no prominent evil figure in their religion though they do believe in an afterlife involving a wonderful place for the wealthy and powerful and reincarnation for those who lived through unfortunate situations such as poverty. They believe that everyone should be given a second chance.

Although the clergy is composed of males only, they are still allowed to have families. The clergy functions primarily as missionaries and teachers though they do not necessarily offer help to the people and instead give them advice instead of materialistic contribution. Besides that, the church is considerably wealthy due to the contributions and donations of its supporters. Members of the clergy are ordained by other clergy. Being a member of the clergy is considered respectable and honorable and is actually a fast way for people to climb up the economical statuses since clergy members are well funded and often become very wealthy. Members of the clergy can be identified by the golden robes they wear, seeing as they identify gold with wealth and purity.

Higletists put high value on the virtues of faith, tolerance, wealth, loyalty, and family. Strongly emphasizing the importance of familial ties and wealth, encouraging those from prominent families to donate to the church. However, the Higletists consider dishonesty and lust to be extremely deadly and corrupted sins. They often see love as a lesser form of lust and do not believe that people should marry for love and marry within their status and grow to love their partners and family. They believe that the form of true, holy loves comes from growth and dealing with the situations one is in. They strongly discourage marrying or even associating with people from economical statuses lower than your own and only allow those of similar status to marry. However, they do not care much for interracial marriage or same sex marriage.

Higlesians often view people who are born force sensitive as dangerous and unknown to the royal family, they often take people who they identify as force sensitive and persuade them to join the clergy in hopes of manipulating them in order to maintain the high status of the church. However, if the force user is a woman, they try to persuade her into marrying a member of the clergy or have her claimed by one of the clergy members.

Food:
Due to the abundance in agriculture on the planet Xasuri, people don’t worry much for food. Traditional Xasuri flavors are either very salty or sweet, the flavors usually extreme. The food is usually more vegetable and fruit heavy and focuses on spices. There are few meat dishes as meat is considered a fine luxury. It is customary for every dish to arrive with their own respective utensils and a strong zesty acidic drink is served in between meals to cleanse the palate, some palate cleansers actually contain a strong acid that is designed to burn the food to prevent weight gain although it is often only consumed by the wealthy. Wealthy families often eat three tiny courses per meal and eat five meals a day, while poorer families only eat one or two meals a day.

A few of Xasuri’s native meals are:

Ros
Pan fried caf beans with bloddles, jun, and kevasa fruit. Served with terrberry syrup.

Fearas
Chopped ootoowerg with three-eyed kinyenian potato, pork and qana bean on a bed of sauteed driss and marthan fruit. Served with mepple and sweetroot.

Xugros
Slow roasted nerf ribs with spiceloaf , fenti bean and juna berry with a salad of galma and oratay.

Trul
Glowblue noodles and chav topped with stickli root and sunfruit.

Customs:
Common people often treat their royals and council members with high respect, bowing to them before speaking and only speaking to them when spoken too. To common people, they normally greet each other by nodding their heads first. People are often very friendly with each other in hopes of making strong connections.

Gifts are traditionally exchanged during festivals; however if a feast is thrown it is customary for the guests to give gifts to the person hosting the feast or banquet. Luxury and exotic items are known to be wonderful gifts and items imported from other planets are often welcome gifts too. More so, Xasurians prefer gifts crafted by respectful artists in society. Giving a common item as a gift is considered insulting; however, if a person cannot afford to exchange gifts, it is often customary for them to present the party thrower with a handcrafted item.

Births are considered happy events and a celebration is often thrown in the mother’s honor. However, births are private affairs only witnessed by the mother, the partner, and those assisting the birth. It is customary for the mother to spend three months alone with the child before the baby may interact with other people. The baby’s name is typically selected before the birth of the child and is usually selected by the father. However, the father doesn’t get to interact with his child until the baby’s fourth month. Procreation is typically viewed as a ritual and should only be done for the act of reproduction. Because of this rule, men and women of no relations are not allowed to live under the same roof until they are married.

The age for males to come of age is relatively nineteen and sixteen for females in terms of human years and maturity but differs to the equivalents for other races. The males typically choose the woman they’re going to marry on their coming of age celebration(known as the claiming ceremony), and the celebration can last for days. During coming of age celebrations, the celebrant also must choose the profession they’re going to focus on for the rest of their lives. At the end of the celebration, the celebrant must lock themselves in their room for three nights, consuming nothing but fruits and water taken from the Higle Lagoon.

On the boy’s coming of age ceremony, a ring is presented to the girl and she usually wears it around her neck until they get married. The ring is often encrusted with a Xasurian gem chosen by the male himself. However, if two people of the same gender wish to marry, they must both present each other with a ring. As long as both party members are of age, they may marry. However, besides class status, Xasurians heavily look down upon polyamorous relationships.

Wedding ceremonies usually depend on the class status of a person. Wealthier families tend to have week long ceremonies with the two people marrying tied together by the wrist with a long golden cord to symbolize binding people via marriage. Families often prepare for the weddings as soon as the man chooses his wife when he turns nineteen and invites everyone to the wedding. Not inviting people is often seen as publicly denouncing any social ties with that person. Before the married couple consummates their marriage they must bathe together in water from the Higle Lagoon. Marriages are viewed as a lifetime commitment and proposals only happen once in a lifetime seeing as people on this planet care more about status than anything else.

Death ceremonies are often seen as unfortunate events and the family of the deceased must not be seen in public eye for three days. There is usually no funeral and the deceased are burnt, their ashes scattered into the Verbena sea, where the fishes eat them. However, fifty days after the ashes are scattered, people often throw a small gathering with the deceased’s friends hiring artists to perform theatrical performances showcasing the dead person’s most memorable moments.

Music, Art, Literature:
Music, art, and literature are all very important aspects of a Xasurian’s normal life. Creativity is treated highly and respected by all members of society because it serves as catharsis for the community as they are not allowed to conventionally release their emotions. Most schools emphasize learning about the great works created by some of the most respected artists in the universe. However, despite this, literature isn’t given the same treatment. Although its importance is emphasized in higher class societies, the lower class still do not have the resources or the teachers to teach writing and reading as they are not as well funded as the higher members of society.

Beauty and Fashion
Because they respect diversity, fashion usually isn’t something that matters to Xasurians. Xasurians prefer dressing in relation to how one is represented as art serves as the only way to purge out emotions. However, one can typically identify social status based on body type. The nobles tend to be very skinny due to their customary methods of the food dissolving before it enters the system. Xasurians tend to prefer flamboyant yet elegant looking designs. They find plain people who can transform into beautiful works of art as beautiful god like beings.

Naming Conventions
Unlike other planets, the people of Xasuri do not carry a last name. Instead, they indicate where they are from. If they hail from Tari, they write down their complete first name and then the city they come from[Ex: Sam of Tari]. However, if they are royalty they use the whole planet as a representation [Ex: King Eiselno of Xasuri]. Furthermore, a councillor must change the city they are from to the city they are ruling [Ex: From Bob of Hani to Councillor Bob of Tari]. Most people only have two first names, however people born into royalty typically have longer names. It is conventional for people who marry into royalty to also add names that represent them.

Technology:
Spacefaring (orbital spacecrafts, cybernetics, etc.)

History:
Creation Myth:
Higletists believe that the origin of mortals was chosen amongst a group of animals. Sentience was a gift given from the Higol, the God of Life and Death, the father of all the Gods. For a while, Xasuri was merely a planet filled with animals until Higol decided to hold a competition. They say there was an unknown power and those that had the ability to control it and give it to the the God would receive the most powerful gift of sentience and will become one step closer to becoming god like.

The humans, which were then called, Xachu, were the only people who had the ability to control this strange power and so the god Higol gave them the ability of sentience. The planet was then named Xasuri. It is also a reason why Higletist clergy members are set on having force members as part of the clergy as they believe it can bring them closer to becoming gods although that remains a secret within the clergy.

~

Actual recorded history started during the first year where the royal family, descendants of the hero who gave humans sentients, took rule. There was an attempted assassination on the first son of the family through a member of an unidentified guild. And a small war broke out between the royal family and the guild who they eventually defeated. During the next few decades, the royal family gathered people and established ties and conquered different cities. Within the next century the world was united and laws had been established. People knew their place in society.

In the year 215, an advance in naval technologies happened allowing transportation to become easier for the people. However, a few years after that, an epidemic broke out and infected 90% of the population, killing off billions of people.
This was when the first sign of alien interaction had happened and they started to import medicine. In the year 342, medical technology was good enough to help restrict the plague to certain locations yet many people were still dying.

However, in the year 371, a terrible famine swept the lands and Xasuri relied on other planets for food and other imports. At the same time, different races started coming into Xasuri and the cities opened their gates and allowed other races to inhabit the planets. At the same time, the royal family increased their intergalactic connections and imported more technology to help contain the plague to restricted areas.

In the year 403 Mouzu the King was killed and the Temple of Crano was destroyed by an unknown guild that had risen. The guild was known as Xonsha and wanted to overthrow the royal family due to them supporting the belief that natural human emotions such as love had to be suppressed. Luckily, the military was strong enough to defeat the guild at war. Schools for the military were established and laws were far stricter than ever.

Fifty four years later, the city of Tari had been built and the districts had been established. Artists were given more praise and publicity than ever. It was a start of a golden age for Xasuri. Sixty five years later, Xasurian gems had been discovered and encouraged more people to visit Xasuri. Eight years later Xasurian wine was created by the Aeroa family.

It was the year 615 when the plague had finally ended. The virus was gone and it was time for people to rebuild their families. Although billions were affected people still lived through it, not allowing the plague to ruin their lives. Those affected by the plague were isolated into different locations, and when they were wiped out, the poverty were relocated to that area. Luckily, the virus had been contained enough to not affect the main cities. Nine years later, billions of people started disappearing from the galaxy yet somehow people from Xasuri were spared. It had been decided that it was some sort of religious miracle and a large festival was thrown to celebrate.

Now, the royal family still holds a strong rule over the planet.

Sorry it took so long to get to this, it was a hectic finals week lol anywho, I actually saw nothing wrong with this sub at all as you quite clearly put a lot of time and effort into it :)

I'm going to stamp it as is, but will tell you any other planets that get added to the system will require their own submission :)

This is a very detailed and well thought out sub. There's a lot of great information in here and unique qualities to the people.

Since the native people are only humans with no outstanding differences, a race sub won't be required but I would encourage you to make one anyway, simply for ease of reference should other writers choose to take up a Xasurian human. A lot of the information you have written here is easily transferable to a race sub, so it won't be much work to do one if you do choose to make one. :)

My only two nitpicks about this sub:

You make no mention of galactic events. I don't see anything written into the history concerning the Gulag Plague or the Netherworld event and how they impacted the planet or the people. Unless I'm mistaken? I did a quick word search on the page for both and came up empty. They're a bit too significant to leave out, so if you could work them in that would be fantastic and it'll be ready for full approval.

Oh! I did include them. I just left them unnamed because I'd assume the people here don't know what it's called.

In the year 215, an advance in naval technologies happened allowing transportation to become easier for the people. However, a few years after that, an epidemic broke out and infected 90% of the population, killing off thousands of people. This was when the first sign of alien interaction had happened and they started to import medicine. In the year 342, medical technology was good enough to combat the plague yet many people were still dying.

and

Nine years later, billions of people started disappearing from the galaxy yet somehow people from Xasuri were spared. It had been decided that it was some sort of religious miracle and a large festival was thrown to celebrate.

I see!

To note: the Gulag Plague was fatal and there was no cure for it. You either contracted it and died from it or you were immune. So you may want to make a few changes with this new knowledge. If 90% of the population of the planet was infected, then 90% of the population died from it. Feel free to change that if you like.
