Description:

As a company known for breaking into new territory and unveiling unique and previously unseen technology, Tenloss has once more ventured into the realms of technological innovation.

The X-CL series of ammunition canisters is the latest invention to roll off Tenloss assembly lines. Similar in size and shape to an archaic slugthrower shell or cartridge, the X-CL is a new take on old technology.

Each canister or cartridge is a simple hybrid of a standard, single use power cell and enough tibanna gas for a single blaster bolt. While this does negate the standard blaster’s capability of a seemingly infinite source of ammunition combining a standard gas canister and power cell, the benefits are deemed to balance out any shortcomings.

The cartridges are easily modified to accommodate a variety of ammunition types and sizes, or ‘calibers’, to accommodate various weapons planned by Tenloss in the future. The cartridges are easily made and simple in design and function, featuring a fairly low failure rate, making the weapon a deemed success by Tenloss R&D. The casings also feature an interchangeable ‘primer’ set at Tenloss factories, giving the X-CL cartridges the option for thermal interchange between the power cell and tibanna gas or an electrical interchange, allowing the use of electrically sensitive gases to be utilized and fired from the X-CL cartridges.

Currently, the X-CL series features three premade variants, namely the X-CL-A, B, and C. The X-CL-A is loaded with standard Tibanna gas, though in enough quantity to produce a blaster bolt twice as strong as the standard result for the weapon size it is utilized in.

The X-CL-B features a new product, the XG-01, as the ‘ammunition’ for the cartridge. The cartridges are specifically set for an electrical transfer between power cell and XG-01 gas, the result being a highly ionized bolt functioning similar to standard ion weaponry. The cartridge holds enough XG-01 gas to fire a bolt twice as strong as the standard bolt fired by the weapon size utilized.

The last of the current series is the X-CL-C which features another new Tenloss product, the XG-02 gas. This gas is unique in that it requires solely thermal transfer between power source and gas, but also in that it operates similar to standard disruptor weaponry. Capable of substantial damage relative to the size of the weapon used, the X-CL-C is a potent ammunition choice, though is unable to instantly vaporize targets in a handful of shots*. This particular variant is primarily valued for its ability to penetrate enemy armor plating, though it is less prolific than the other two variants, simply because the XG-02 gas is harder to produce.

In addition, those using the X-CL series are encouraged to keep any cartridge out of areas of intense electrical or thermal hazards to prevent damage to the ammunition types carried as well as to avoid accidental discharge as electrical components fail or overload.

In addition, these weapons only range in size from personal to vehicle defense weapon scales**.

*OOC Disclaimer: Damage and possible disintegration, standard among disruptor weapons, is relative to the size of the weapon. You’re not disintegrating or blowing up a starfighter or tank with a pistol using these things, but shooting an unarmored person with, say, the equivalent of a 50mm cannon (not that you’ll find one that size) of these probably will.

**OOC Disclaimer: It’s vague simply because blaster weapons aren’t categorized in calibers and such. Essentially, 9mm equivalents are probably the smallest you’d find while maybe a 20mm is the largest you’d find at this time. Anything else would need a submission.
