Affiliation: Unaffiliated

Major Locations: Trade Town: A settlement build in the destroyed remains of a Mon Cal Cruiser. Conveniently along the coast. This settlement is created as a hub of trade and is the heart of ‘civilization’ in the world. Houses about a third of the population. Weapons and all personal effects are turned over and held in a lock up. The Council that runs this town knows that anything the Savagers carry with them is meant to give them a hand above the others and will not tolerate it within the walls.

Bad Lands: The main area on this world. This is the result of terraforming gone wrong. Hot, arid, with very little water and wildlife. There are small settlements, mostly based around sources of fuel, a semi-fossil fuel based on gasoline and oil. The best way to survive is to keep moving. Some farms are cultivated, but they only grow very starchy foods. A variety of larger (but not too large) ghost towns are around, with the promise of ancient knowledge, and technology, according to the locals, but also a whole other breed of Savages.

The Oceans: Very similar to the land. Mostly filled with fishing vessels that will bring food and purified water to Trade Town. Additionally, there are small floating atoll cities along shall undersea vents and old rigs that were constructed to harvest the fuel from under the planet’s crust. Many vessels use aging solar panels for energy purposes.

Culture: Society on X-377E, as it may be called, is severely lacking. Mainly filled with gladiatorial tribes looking to survive, fishermen only working to survive, and trade merchants thinking they are living in luxury in Trade Town, this world is definitely backwater, and dangerous.

Each gang, or tribe as the people who rediscovered the world, class them, seem to offer the same image to outsiders, rough, rugged, and violent. A slugthrower will keep you alive, for the short term, just as well as a blade. A vehicle, with its own engine and wheels, or in the very few rare experiences, a repulsor, will give you the opportunity to live better, and longer, but you also become the target.

The only two things that matter are ‘what the other person has’ and ‘what the other person can do for you.’ The strong are respected, the weak, they’re killed.

And sometimes eaten.

Technology:As outlined in the history, at one point X-377E was a world of promise, with advanced technology, computer systems and alternative energy solutions, as well as medical research hidden away in the now destroyed and gutted cities. Additionally, for everything that was once good on the world, there was its dark counterpart, biological weapons, dangerous AI, and weapons of mass destruction. Most of this was buried in bunkers by Ixyn Corporation employees who recognized there was not going to be a galaxy shortly, not like they had known.

The main technology of the world is very basic, internal combustion engines, slugthrowers, and houses powered by solar panels. Not the best place for a honeymoon.

History: Decades before the Gulag Plague struck the galaxy, there existed a company known as Ixyn Corporation. The long and short of it, was this company was a massive holding corporation branching out into galaxy. They had their hands in nearly everything, from cybernetics and medical research, to weapons and arms creation, to energy solutions, to weapons of mass destruction, to galactic exploration and terraforming. That was what X-377E was; a terraforming experiment. Ixyn began shaping the world, making it breathable and transplanting flora and fauna to the formerly barren world. Setting up mock cities, and filling them with advanced technology, the first groups of settlers, approximately five generations lived in a life of luxury.

Ixyn began opening the doors to more and more settlers. And that was when the Gulag Plague hit. Ixyn moved the majority of its focus into its medical research looking for a cure, mainly to exploit for their gains, and the technology and up-keep of the terraforming operations fell into disrepair.

There was still a beacon on the world that attracted ships fleeing the civilized galaxy for a promise of a safe life. Several showed up in the X-377 system. And getting close to the world was dangerous. In the early days, the Skyhooks and fighter squadrons were still in use and repair, and the world would attack any of the outsiders, causing ships to fall into the atmosphere.

Jump ahead to present time, and the only technology that is available and in semi-decent repair is that of fossil fuels, combustion engines and customized vehicles. X-377 has only recently been re-discovered and attempts at putting a few Skyhooks around the world and landing missionaries to perform humanitarian aid has given the world access to its local space and sub-space as well as the planet. No hyperdrives were ever brought close enough, for fear that it was a plague world.

One thing to note, is with the terraforming equipment still being in place, the world is subject to strange weather changes, which even the natives are not ready for.

Notable PCs: None
Intent: To create a world that is still living ‘after the fall’ and filled with a crapshoot of random possibilities for players to create stories on. Because we write here.
