Strengths:

  • Durable: The Wyyyschokk-series Super Battle Droid is built with survivability in mind, combining duranium armor plating with durasteel framework and titanium plates layered underneath the outer armor. Plasteel is used in places to allow for flexibility, and transparisteel is used in the head unit to protect the optical mechanisms and forward-mounted flashlight. Its armor construction is build to withstand quite a few blaster bolts
  • Advanced Programming: Thanks to its use of an EB-S Droid Brain the WS droid comes programmed with the mathematical capabilities of a Class 1 droid and the martial and tactical capabilities of a Class 4 droid.
  • EMP shielding: To better protect the units from general EMP attacks after being removed from the market and being limited to use by EODD, the WS droid's brain shielding was extended to its entire body, allowing for them to continue action even when an EMP device is activated which would otherwise render them inoperable.
  • Tactician: With the aid of the EB-S droid brain the WS droid can utilize its linked comms and extra computing power to improvise battlefield tactics and overcome enemy defenses when plans go awry through data transmission and rapidly processed mathematical models.

Weaknesses:

  • Ion Weaponry: Despite the adjustments made to each unit utilized by EODD to protect it from EMPs, the WS droid retains its inherent weakness to ion weaponry, with even a single shot from an ion-charged bolt able to disable a limb, and two to three capable of knocking it out of commission entirely.
  • Maintenance Intensive: Due to its construction the WS droid requires regular intensive maintenance, especially in its legs and torso. The weight of the unit puts significant strain on the servos when in use for long periods of time, leaving them vulnerable to breakage if left unattended. Depending on the damage repairs may be impossible and will require replacement from the manufacturer.
  • Weight: The unit is quite heavy, even without a weaponry and ammunition load. Its sturdy construction can protect it quite well in combat but in certain environments this will work to its detriment, leaving vulnerable in swampy or rocky terrain without a pre-scouted safe path. They’re also incapable of movement while submerged, as its construction only allows protection from environmental moisture such as rain and fog, not complete drowning.
  • Slicing: While the EB-S droid brain has anti-slicing features, it is still vulnerable, and the WS droid maintains these weaknesses. Immobilizing the unit with ion or EMP attacks first will make this far easier.
  • Unarmored Joints: The WS droid's joints, particularly in the legs, are especially weak to enemy fire, as the need for mobility requires a lack of protective armor around the knees and ankles. The elbows as well are vulnerable for similar reasons, and disabling them can render the droid incapable of holding and using weaponry.

DESCRIPTION

Named for one of the most dangerous beasts in the galaxy, the Wyyyschokk-series Super Battle Droid is built to be as menacing and deadly on the battlefield as its namesake creature. With the integral EB-S droid brain it has the capabilities of a Super Battle Droid as well as a tactical droid, capable of running complex mathematics in order to implement battle strategies and improvise tactics. Its communications equipment is linked to every other WS unit in its squad and back to command, allowing them to utilize these adjusted tactics among all engaged units to secure victory, much like a real wyyyschokk communicates with others of its species to hunt prey.

To that effect it’s built to withstand severe punishment in the field in order to achieve its objectives, utilizing several different strong materials to enhance and complement each other. While the frame and joints are made of durasteel and plasteel to allow for range of motion, the exterior armor is made of duranium reinforced with titanium plates which allows it to withstand several direct hits from blaster fire to the more heavily armored regions. While the elbows and knees contain a small measure of protection, however, the joints lack this extra plating, which make them significantly weaker to fire from the sides and rear.

As with nearly all droids the WS is vulnerable to ion attacks. Prior to being removed from the market it retained as well a weakness to EMP devices, however adjustments made after its switch to EODD-only use removed the EMP issues as proper shielding had been introduced to limit losses on the battlefield. It is also vulnerable to heavy munitions such as rockets, heavy laser cannons, and specialized demolition charges, to name a few.

In addition, due to its use of an EB-S droid brain, the Class 1 programming can be adjusted to areas other than mathematics, such as physical science studies and medicine, giving it additional variety in its potential uses. Such changes would require reprogramming and training by the user, but this modularity could allow for adjustments to create a droid that is both capable of protection and scientific analysis while out in the field.

All in all, despite its weaknesses the WS droid excels at its purpose: being a powerful battle droid that can take heavy punishment and deal it back out. While each unit comes standard with an EO-5 Heavy Blaster Rifle, it can also be equipped with heavy weaponry such as rocket launchers and ion disruptors as well as rotary blaster cannons due to its capacity for weight lifting. When it comes to a powerful battle droid this is the one you want at your side in a firefight.
