Name: Wyrden (Pronounced "wer-den")
Designation: Sentient
Homeworld: Datar
Language: Wyrd, Basic
Average height of adults: 1 meter.
Skin color: Black
Hair color: Varying shades of the color spectrum.
Breathes: Oxygen
Strengths:
+ Small frames allow for very fast movement.
+ Quick thinkers with sharp minds.
+ Often seen as cute or adorable. This can be used to an wyrden's advantage.
Weaknesses:
- Very light and fragile bones. Like ghostlings, a light bump may cause a bruise, while a punch is liable to break bones.
- Can easily be transfixed and lured by "shinies". This can be followed by being incapacitated by someone, or captured.
- If they are not on Datar, they are not as agile or quick. The heavier gravities tire them out quickly if they over exert themselves.
Distinctions: Large ears, bushy tails.
Average Lifespan: 150 standard years while on Datar. If on other planets with heavier gravities, they usually only make it to 70 or 80.
- Infants 1-5
- Adolescents 6-20
- Adults 21-50
- Elders 51-90
- "Old ones" 91-150
Races: None.
Diet: Mostly berries and vegetation. They refuse to eat meat, as they can not digest it.
Communication: Speech, body language.
Culture: Wyrden are primarily a closed in species. Though they live fairly close to their ghostling neighbors, they are rarely seen. However, if one is very quiet and has a good eye, they can sometimes be spotted in the upper levels of forestry. In it's natural habitat, an wyrden will run off if approached too quickly, or if it feels threatened. As for speech, their main form of communication is their own, described by series of chattering. Over the years, however, many of them have learned to speak basic from watching ghostlings and other visitors to the planet.
Technology level: Their technology level is very limited. Although they are very smart, they choose to keep their technology to a minimum.
General behavior: Wyrden tend to be really mischievous and curious. They love shiny things, and can easy become transfixed once they lay eyes on a "shiny". For the most part, wyrden retain a childlike behavior throughout their years, which usually ends anywhere between 50-60 years. Due to their connection and similar heritage, wyrden tend to trust ghostlings before they'll trust any other species.
History: Wyrden began as a very open species to any that came in contact with them. While this would mainly consist of other animals, there would be an occasional humanoid or other sentient being. The majority of them live in the deep depths if Datar's forestry, in the upper canopies of it's trees. Sometime in the last thousand years, curiosity had some leave their forest homes and explore the open world of Datar. Upon doing this, they came into limited contact with another race known as ghostlings. Though the ghostlings themselves rarely ever saw them, they would watch the humanoids unceasingly. This led to some being able to pick up basic from the ghostlings themselves, as well as slavers and others. Unfortunately, one such slaver saw the profit in capturing and selling wyrden. This became a very profitable trade indeed, as they were sold for pets at high prices, due to their exotic looking nature. This led to seclusion, and the majority of them his in the deep depths of the forests. This slave trade still goes on, and every now and then a few are captured. This increase in rarity only drives people to search harder for them, as the price is terribly high.
Notable Player-Characters: None yet.
Intent: To create a new species for the board to use, as well as have a race physically similar to ghostlings, in the sense that they are both frail when away from their home world. This may cause the majority of wyrden to be companions for ghostlings.

Very nice! This is almost entirely perfect. I would request the maximum age be trimmed down on their homeworld though. Maybe a max of 150 would work at home, and then 70-80 offworld?

@mention me when this is done. :)
