"Don't be silly. This line of work is far too dangerous for [member="Ni'gel"]." Adekos paused, grabbing the handle of the door and pulling it open for Hazel. "After you."

She had probably seen that forlorn looking Givin at least once. If not, she was missing out. Although the Givin was good to have in the background or run on errands, he was not of the sort of temperament to engage in high-stakes speeder chases through the skylanes of Rishan. Which is, for all intents and purposes, what Adekos now intended to do. Hazel had already had to drive him around Coruscant and he hadn't found the experience all that gratifying. Now it was her turn to be the terrified, backseat driver.

What an exciting opportunity this would be.

The speeder that they had arrived in hadn't moved from where they parked it. Normally it would have been rather brazen and silly for them to stomp in through the front of the building armed and armored. Surely someone would have made a fuss... And they did, but they didn't get far thanks to a strategic mind-trick on the only employee that had been in the building- the clerk. There would be time for more retroactive justification later. The passenger door popped open for Hazel while Adekos went around the other side and opened his manually. He settled comfortably into the seat of the speeder- an obnoxiously expensive rental. Flying in style was important when doing so with a female companion. Adekos jammed the electric key into the ignition and started up the speeder, the engine roaring to life.

"Now, how do I fly this thing?"

There was an awkward pause at every instance of chivalry leaving the Merc floundering between offense and surprise. One the one hand chivalry was not dead, but on the other hand it was pretty dead for this particular Merc. Manners were one thing - even Preacher was guilty of a ladies first routine - but this was quite another.

Biting back a scoff she swung into the speeder and closed the door, turning to watch the man primly take a seat and turn on the engine.

"Now, how do I fly this thing?"

"Are you fething kidding me? Have you seriously never---how do you even?" Hazel gestured to all of him with a stare, helmet visor glaring in disbelief at him.

"I'm driving. Get out of the driver's seat."

Laughter. Hysterical laughter. Even as he shifted the gears and pulled the speeder out of the parking space and guided it into traffic. Sometimes, he really just couldn't help himself. "Oh, my... The look on your face!" He said in-between spurts of laughter, still managing piloting the speeder smoothly but deliberately. It was almost uncanny- but these things were easy when he could access the Force to better understand technology on a whim. In any event, Adekos couldn't actually, physically see the look on her face, but the flabbergast in her voice left little to the imagination.

"Come on, Hazel, lighten up." Adekos took a sharp turn where it was legal, gently losing altitude and merging into a lower lane. "If you take these kinds of things too seriously it'll kill you."

Adekos had done this too many times with too many people who shared similar attitudes. He had something to gain from this incursion, but nothing to lose. If things went sour here, he would have other agents attempt it. If they failed, then different agents. Then other options would be explored. Time was a luxury in matters of Hegemonic Automaton's corporate expansion. They were already the top droid manufacturer and distributor in much of the galaxy. Everything else was just a bonus wrong.

The building would only be a short drive away. "Here, there's that building's parking lot. See anything?"

If Hazel peeked quickly enough she would see the Caamasi in question being shoved into a heavy-duty speeder truck on one of the platforms below.

"Feth off," Hazel growled and lifted a gloved hand to smack at the man's helmeted head, unconcerned with whether or not he dodged.

The Merc rounded her shoulders in disgust, halfway tempted to grab hold of the steering and show him just what she thought of his terrible sense of humor. The image of the man squealing as she threw them into oncoming traffic was enough to twitch a smirk onto her lips. Almost. Mostly they twitched in growing aggravation.

Helmet panned instead to their surroundings, instinctively checking the mirrors for tails - a paranoia and habit she'd likely never break - and caught sight of the aforementioned caamasi getting manhandled into a truck below.

"Target acquired," the HUD within her helmet told her the distance wouldn't kill her if she jumped and for several short moments she considered it, if for no other reason than to put herself out of the misery Ardik's humor created.

Thwunk!

"You know, if I weren't wearing a helmet-" Adekos paused to rub the back of his head. "No, wait... There it is. Hurts anyway."

Curse her and her womanly-yet-still-exquisitely-muscled arms. Little did he know that helmet was the only thing that saved him from smashing his forehead into the steering wheel, blacking out, and probably taking a nose dive. "Although nothing compares to the emotional damage." He sniffled. Since Ivy only mentioned that she saw the Caamasi getting carted around and failed to actually tell Adekos where she was, the Umbaran had to squirm around in his seat and crane his neck to see out of her window. He followed her gaze and spied the doors of the speeder slamming shut before it took flight, merging into a lane below them and heading in the opposite direction.

He assumed it was that one.

Darth Adekos maneuvered the speeder downward, merging into a lower lane and then executing a quick, illegal U-turn."Oh, what would I do without you?" He pondered. Hopefully there were no Dubrillionite Traffic enforcers hanging around this part of town. Adekos marked the speeder truck they were following- an ugly, brown, decrepit thing -on his HUD so he wouldn't lose track of it. He kept a few cars between the target so as to not draw suspicion.

Beeee-booooooo.

Ivy lofted a brow at the geriatric maneuvering of the speeder through traffic, thinking to herself that her dead grandmother could drive better than this man.

Beeee-booooooo.

"Avoid headaches and a traffic ticket, most likely," the Merc let out a sigh and pulled out her blaster just as [member="Darth Adekos"]' greatest fear came to life behind him in the form of flashing lights, official-like. She rolled her window down, changed the setting on her blaster, lifted, took aim, and fired off a single shot out through the traffic. He may have marked their target on his HUD, but now she had it tagged with a tracking beacon.
