Faction [WSR] Meeting of the Minds

Kaaba and Mi... well they hadn't exactly meant to show up here. They had been hopping ships system to system, taking advantage of being basically walking sand, to get around and somehow all the way to Wild Space. This... wasn't what either of them exactly expected. A Rebellion? This was.... Kinda crazy. Kaaba stayed quiet, wanting to stay hidden, but Mi would start to pull them forward a bit, clearly interested in what they were saying, especially give why her and her brother were jumping around system to system anyway.

Kessari looked over the group surrounding the table, it was like a damn family reunion. Jedi, old friends, and other do gooders coming out here to wild space without like they were going to fix all these problems with a few nice words and a smile, it was time for the local to step up and snap things back to reality.

“So if ya’ll ain’t ready to talk about the problems out here I got about a dozen scum off the bottom of my boot slavers that run through this system alone I could be huntin’ down and hanging from whatever seems convenient.

Kessari
spoke up for the first time.

“The Sovereign Dawn doesn’t take kindly to sitting around, there’s a good number of us who have a good number of bones to pick with a good number of slavers.

It wasn’t only that, but they couldn’t afford to stand around either since the group wasn’t exactly flush with credits. They primarily ran on the plunder they took from slavers or pro slavery institutions, donations out here in some of the poorest parts of the galaxy tended to be slim. The best the had were technicians willing to put their ships into empty slipways and repair them in off hours, as long as Sovereign Dawn brought their own parts.

...right. They were here for a reason. She couldn't get distracted by old flings. If Giran wanted to be part of this new Rebellion, then let him. She had to lead.

"Right, sorry." She spoke clearly, using the Force to amplify her voice slightly as she grabbed a box and stood up on it. "Welcome to the Wild Space Rebellion, all of you. I gathered you all here to start this off as a call to arms. I've spent the last two years as part of the Alliance, and while I still believe in the people fighting that fight, I can't stand by them. Not anymore. The Senate wallows in indecision. The Jedi wait for moral justification. The Defense Force waits for orders. I'm done waiting. I'm not of this time. Me, and Kraden, and Giran, we grew up during an era of strife. When the Galactic Empire stood tall, and controlled from the Unknown Regions to the Tingle Arm. I woke up to a world of peace, and in the last six months, I've seen that peace slowly shattered, piece by piece. The Sith, the Black Sun, The Imperials, The Crusaders. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of waiting and watching worlds burn."

She paused, looking down to Dice. The bot beeped in agreement, projecting a massive galactic map.

"We're here." She pointed. "The Daxam System. A backwater world no one remembers exists. I remember. I remember when this base, Green Heaven, was the headquarters of the rebel cell I fought for. Tenacity Cell. We had named it after out ship, but today it means what I stand for. Fighting the good fight, even when the bad guys knock you down. And right now? There's plenty of bad guys. Those who entered orbit might've noticed the asteroid belt that circles the planet. The rings of Daxam II. What you might not have noticed was the fleet hidden within. The Dawn of Hope, what was once my Relief Fleet for the Alliance, has followed me here. Defected with several other Alliance groups. The 34th, The Hellstompers. Several agents of the SIA. Forces from Lothal and the former Tingle Arm Coalition. I've called in every favor I have. Veradune, Cathar, Ukatis, Ryloth. Don't let it be said this rebellion doesn't have allies." She paused, looking over to Kraden Besco Kraden Besco and Kessari Vorn Kessari Vorn .

"And don't let it be said it doesn't have credits either. My company, Si Tech, has allocated all of it's resources to this effort. This organization. The Alliance has plenty of creditors. You all have me."

She looked over to Dice, who shifted the hologram to a new display. A diagram of organizational structure.

"First and foremost. Don't let it be assumed I didn't come without a plan. The Rebellion will be split into 3 branches. Our Militia, an organized rebel military which I've put Gress D'ran Gress D'ran in charge of intermediately to train up rebel forces in guerilla tactics. Next will be the jedi. I will be leading the Bokken Order, which will be working alongside the militia. We are not an order sitting on moral high grounds, or philosophical debates. We're here to fight for what's right."

She looked over to Kraden.

"And finally, for those who don't fit the mold, the Guild of Wild Spacers. We'll be paying you whatever you're worth to fight alongside us. Do jobs, hunt vile men, and get paid handsomely. Kraden Besco Kraden Besco will be in charge of this, and I will expect any monetary transactions to go through him"

"Any questions?"

Giran stepped forward, his expression serious but determined. He clasped his hands behind his back, eyes focused on Jonyana

"Jonyna's right. I've seen the effects the Empire had on the galaxy. From the death of the Old Republic and Order 66, the Empire and these other factions bring nothing but death and chaos, especially If the Sith get involved as well."

"I'll definitely be here to support you with your Bokken Order if you would still want some insight from a relic like me."
Giran paused briefly, then added with a hint of a smirk, "And if Kraden of all peoplee are being involved—I have no doubt our cash and finances will be in safe claws."

He looked at Dice's hologram, nodding at the organizational structure.

"The fleet is fascinating...im honestly impressed with the amount you have built up. Id say I would be supprised, but that would be underestamating your skills." Giran said "However I will be the first to ask this Jonyna...what exsactly is our first major mission with this group...because knowing you, your going to want to make us known to people by doing something that will grab attention."

Kessari loudly spat a glob of phlegm on the floor.

"An' why would I need some fancy core military type ta' teach me an mine what we've been doin' just fine on our own fer the last few years? Kark it, I should be teaching his ass what to do when his logistics trail is only what he can see and cram into his pockets." Her tone was beyond insulted.

"Are ya'll actually out here to make things better or just to play out the coreman's burden and try to tame Wild Space into what ya'll think it should be? Cuz I can just fark off and just have one more set of overlords to fight, an' I gar-un-teee, other groups out here will follow my lead. None of us signed up for some fancy military to march in lockstep, wear fancy uniforms, and lick the boots of all the sirs and ma'ams."

Kessari's
facial expression made it clear that she was pissed, felt patronized, and was ready to blow up at the next perceived insult. For those who could touch the force, she looked like she was the eye of a particularly violent firestorm, ready to let loose and incinerate anyone too close.

Lucy simply leaned against the walls of the ship the meeting was in. It was clear to her that many people here had some sort of history together. Faces that they known for years. Lucy felt a bit out of place to say the least, seeing that she was the new kid on the block so to speak. But she listened intently on what Jonyna explained this meeting was about. About how the Alliance was starting to buckle under the pressure of its responsibilities. So much so that even portions of the Alliance had begun to defect, after being disillusioned with it's ideals.

Lucy didn't know how to feel about that. The Alliance was always a beacon of stability to say the least. If they were fracturing, then who would lead the defense against the Sith Order? But at least Jonyna had come up with a plan on still trying to do more good in the galaxy despite what was happening in the Core.

"If I may be able to speak for a moment. I want to help you guys, but I am not much of a bounty hunter or military gal. I'm a smuggler so I can try to help you all acquire more illicit products from my travels. Weapons, supplies, maybe even some rare tech that can be smuggled your way."

Nathan Bloodscrawl

Guest
"You all have your points. I for one am totally disenchanted by the response the Alliance has made..." Nathan admitted. He knew Chancellor Organs was trying his best, but he was still a politician. Always playing the long game even if it wasn't worth playing. Even if the long game slowed vital response times down.

Nathan didn't mind the fleet Jonyna Si Jonyna Si had brought. If she could get so many to defect that was a sign they themselves were different.

"Anybody bold enough to defect en masse from a government and abscond with so much...spit and polish is likely the last thing on their minds..." he said to Kessari Vorn Kessari Vorn .

"And if the Sith start spreading out here like a plague...how long do you and your sundered dawn really hold out when you're good at mainly hitting slavers? What's your plan when they send a Sith Assassin to murder you or a Destroyer to kill some place you like in retaliation for you hitting an operation of theirs. They'll murder the poor and defenseless just to draw you out. And they'll crush you on your own. I've seen them do such things to those who thought very similar to you. Valuing your independence so much you'll make enemies you don't want or need." He said, his tone quiet, almost casual.

But there was a subtext to it. The subtext being he would be one of those enemies if she wanted to play guerilla on them. Sometimes, you just had to put your foot down with these types, and make your position very clear.

"I ain't interested in taming wild space. I'm here to fight Sith. As for you...you think you can fight your slavers, The Sith, and a bunch of heavily armed, well trained defectors, well..."

Nathan spat on the ground with the same level of contempt she had shown. He didn't care if she automatically hated him for standing up to her. Everything in his body language said he wasn't going to put up with her.

"Be my fethin' guest."

"You would've come here for a reason though right? So you have to see some good in this." Mi's words to Kessari Vorn Kessari Vorn came out like any Lervon's. No emotion in her voice, but only through the Force and body language, which seemed more curious. Kaaba notably looked wide eyed and like he was ready to pull them both into an air vent thanks to Mi having to talk. He already didn't like this fully, let alone his sister talking to the one that looked angry as a mad Gundark. "She... she doesn't" He looked, dragging both himself and Mi back. "We just... got here by accident."

"Yeah. We were on...."

"Mi...."

"What? Not like they'll...."

"Enough." Her voice rang through the cave, as Jonyna pulled one of her swords from her belt, using it as a pointer. "We're not here to fight amongst ourselves."

She spun her sword, pointing it at the ground, before looking over to Kessari. "I'm not here to rule anyone. I'm not smart enough for that. But don't count me out before I count you out. 900 years ago, before I went into the ice, I was a rebel once. I've only been a part of the Alliance for 2 years, and that time I spent building up to this. I am here to help. We all are. You're right, I don't know what you're capable of. Not yet. But I know how rebels fight. I know that people who fight the way we plan to aren't doing so because they're trained, because they're capable, because they're well armed. No, they do so because they're desperate. Because fighting the way they do is all they have left."

She pointed her sword at Dice, who once more flipped to a new hologram. A set of coordinates within the Rishi sector.
"I've got intel on a slaver convoy heading towards the Black Sun's terf. They'll be exiting hyperspace around Rishi to refuel. You want to show me what you got? There's your chance. The first test of the Rebellion."

Giran's eyes narrowed as he studied the new coordinates on the hologram, then looked back to Jonyna with a nod of approval, He tightened his grip on his weapon briefly, then relaxed, a determined grin spreading across his face.

"I assume you have some contacts in the Rishi sector who owe you favors to help out with this?... Perhaps we can set up an ambush, disable that convoy, and make a statement. Assuming that is what you want our first mission as a rebellion to be."

"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
Vulpesen's tail flicked behind him as he leaned against the entrance of the cave. Perhaps he was a bit late, though he hoped it would be considered fashionably so. Wild Space was a far ways away from Veradune and the Valde was often too busy to hop immediately into a ship for anything but the most dire of emergencies. Still, Jonyna, as much as she might chafe to admit it, was a friend to the Zorren and any friend to Vulpesen was a friend of Veradune as a whole. Besides, the Galactic Alliance and its jedi had found its ways to snub Vulpesen's military and force order. Thus, there was nothing stopping him from redirecting his resources to throw behind the Cathar's new crusade.

"Once again, you sing a familiar tune. At least you didn't follow me in toeing the darkside among the sith. Still, didn't quite expect you to leave the order behind like I did."
He bounced off the wall and walked towards the gathering. "Not that I blame you. In any case, if you need men for this fight, I'm sure there a couple VSF companies that might have an interest in touching the outer reaches of the galaxy. Not sure if we ever went as far as the Rishi maze."

Jonyna Si Jonyna Si

Kessari laughed bitterly as Jonyna pulled a weapon and waved it around like a pointer in a classroom, but seemed to be in better spirits.

"Put the sword down Grandma. We ain't forming up in lines to plink at each other with single-shot blasters anymore." Kessari said, looking directly at Jonyna, "An' you should know to treat a weapon better than that."

"Look, 'fore you start putting some tank driver trying to train me and mine, why don't you look an' see what we can do. The Dawn has taken in former PDF officers, our biggest problem isn't a lack a' skills, it's the lack of real fightin' hardware and the facilities ta maintain them. So why don't you wait and see what we can do with some real gear in ar' hands?"

With that, Kessari crossed her arms and leaned against the table.

It was a rocky, but not unexpected, start.

Taam held his tongue, bit it a few times, as those gathered spoke. Jonyna presented her vision, the reasons for being there at all, and proved she had taken the time to gather the resources and develop the structure. They had discussed it often, Taam a sounding board for the highly motivated Denik. But when the durarubber met the road, showing up with the means to fight rebellions was only part of what these people needed to hear.

For Jonyna, Giran and Kraden, their rebellion was born out of a dire need. The Galactic Empire was gripping the galaxy. They knew from the beginning why they became a rebellion.

But what the Wild Space Rebellion hadn't offered yet was the why. Everyone had a different why. Bloodscrawl was there to fight Sith. The platinum haired local had very specific local problems. Giran wanted to them to make a statement. The others, seemed to gather simply because someone called. Whether to aid, by accident or for some personal agenda. There was no common enemy to unite them.

He had gown irritated with the local with the rifle and her incredibly unhelpful posturing, Taam finally slammed his ham-like fist on the table and snarled, baring white fangs.

"If this does not suit you, you are free to walk out! No one is making you stay, or making you do anything. If you find value here, and feel you can add value, you are welcome. No one is going to force you into a uniform and march you around on a parade ground. No can question the ability of you or yours because we know Jack squat about you. The purpose is to unite to fight causes, not to create a new government or run planets. Many of us have left that, and do not seek to live it anymore. If you come to the table to talk, lets talk."

In the end, Taam knew rebellions succeeded because of gritty fighters like the riflewoman. With a calming snort, he turned back to the others. "Jonyna offers a mission, a trial for this effort. For any who choses to stay, commit at least to this mission. Let's see how we work. If it's not your mug of ale after, walk away with no hard feelings."

With that, he stepped back, his hard amber gaze sweeping the room, noting the arrival of the Levron twins and Vulpesen.
