Faction Witchy Woman

Julra walked through the castle garden on Ryloth, previously she had been in the library studying but decided to take a short break. There was time for study and time for breaks she heard repeated in her head. Hating to admit to herself that some fresh air was good for her occasionally. There were few people around the garden at the moment, but that just meant the area was quiet and all the more relaxing. She let her eyes wander over the garden trying to recall what everything was that she had learned and wondered about those she had not before mentally kicking herself and reminding herself she was taking a break. Not a moment later a thought entered her mind about some of what she had been reading earlier about her lessons. So far, her attempt at a break was a failure she sighed in defeat and turned before walking back towards the castle proper and eventually the library. With her luck the Nightmother find her when she had been reading for hours on end again and not resting, at least this time she could legitimately say she tried to take a break.

"Did the flowers disagree with you?"

Vytal's voice was calm with a note of whimsy as it came from the ether. As her question came to an end, the cloak about herself rippled and began to collapse. A Nightmother had to practice certain skills to retain that air of mystery and unease. How better than to find a public place and test whether any could pierce the veil of the cloak? One's enemies should never be certain you weren't lurking in the nearby shadows; and so it seemed a prudent spell to develop with time.

"I think you made it just over a minute." The pale Witch chuckled to herself. To think sitting and not thinking about work -- even desirable work -- was so difficult for the youth these days. Obviously Julra's training as a Nightsister had been sorely lacking. "A karrat might have skittered by without noticing you. Sadly, the xijang would have leaped from the bushes and eaten you. I have no complaint about your dedication to study," the Fanged God knew offworlder children seemed to find difficulty in that, "but you must learn patience and the ability to simply be if you hope to capture the more elusive prey for advanced courses."

Julra jumped when she heard the Nightmothers voice seemingly from nowhere and she looked around before she found her slowly appearing and sighed “There was nothing wrong with the flowers Nightmother. I was simply distracted” making excuses was no use with the Nightmother why even try. She listened quietly as she rattled off all the various bad things that likely may have happened to her while she was distracted and she nodded "I am at least trying for once" she smiled at the Nightmother "Even if I did only last a minute"

Shamira Karuto

Burn the past - Heal the future
Strolls through the castle gardens were good for clearing ones mind. Since she had gotten to this planet, taking at least one walk a day had become something of a ritual. Shamira spent most all of her time in the reflecting pool room or in the greenhouse studying up on new botany, medical, or pyro spells and techniques that finally finding the time to just walk and clear her mind was not the easiest task. @Scath was one of the few on this planet she’d take time to hang out with, mostly due to their shared love of plants, but most of her time was spent in solitude. It was easier to study that way.

So when she finally got too frustrated with a particular fire spell, even going as far as to slam the book shut out of frustration, and finally take her daily walk, it was a nice little surprise to see both the Nightmother and one of the new witches speaking. In the back of her mind, she thought about not disturbing them. They seemed like they were already in conversation, afterall. But, she was close enough at this point that backing away didn’t seem like a polite option. She put on a smile to hide the frustration that she had come out here to burn off, giving the pair a small wave as she approached. “Afternoon, nightmother.” With a bow of her head toward the tallest of the trio, the redhead’s eyes fell on the other woman. “And your name would be..? I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure of meeting each other.”

"We learn best by doing," Vytal replied calmly, not the least perturbed by Julra's lack of time in the garden. "Perhaps today all you needed was a minute." Hardly seemed enough from a more objective point of view, but the Witch was young. There was time to appreciate the opportunity to take a break and commune with the larger world.

Another Witch caught the Nightmother's eye then as they drew near. Try as she might, Shamira was not the galaxy's foremost stage actor or spymaster yet. The corners to Vytal's lips turned upward at two young women found struggling with their own challenges and having taken even brief respite. "Shamira." The acknowledgement and greeting to the fiery woman served a dual purpose as introducing her to Julra. Such strong-willed Sisters. Not that a Nightsister would complain of it.

"You should take a moment to learn what the other is studying. We all have our preferences, but you can never tell when you will find a new area of interest to pursue." Perhaps they would not be interested in what the other studied. Not everyone was curious about everything. Wouldn't hurt to do more than exchange names, however.

She listened to the Nightmother as she explained things to her, the young Witch always felt like she was not meant for this. Her attention was drawn away from the Nightmother at the approach of another person, she watched her for a few minutes she had not seen her before though she had not been on Ryloth for long so it would make sense that she has yet to meet everyone. When the Nightmother addressed the new person as Shamira. She bowed slightly to Shamira. “Julra Repraj, and I have not been on Ryloth very long. A pleasure to make your acquaintance Shamira.” Julra was nothing if not polite, usually quiet around new people but being near the Nightmother helped her relax a bit, only a bit. She figured she was the most quiet and jumpy Nightsister ever and sighed in her head at herself.
