Witchy ways (Open to witches)

Exploring?

"I am, miss," the youngling answered wistfully. On the surface, that ought to make perfect sense. The Levantine Astronautical Academy was, after all, the premier school supporting the Frontier Corps. The Explorer Corps. People who re-defined how people understood or viewed the galaxy they lived in. People like [member="Coren Starchaser"] or [member="Jorus Merrill"], who drew the maps that spacers used to navigate the Outer Rim, the Unknown Regions, or Wild Space. The ones who defined the edges of the map, and then pushed those boundaries so that what was unknown would become known.

Even still, the boy's intent had been a spiritual exploration rather than the more mundane, yet equally important, endeavors of the Frontier Corps.

The teenage girl was very different from her companion. The standoffish posture of the Miraluka threatened to trigger an aggressive reaction. To stir the bloodlust which the blue youth was careful to keep bottled up inside.

Casia seemed friendly. Genuine.

The other one? She was more similar to him. A predator.

Giving the teen a smile, the boy casually pet the head of the sleeping, young Amphistaff on his arm. "I figured this world would be pretty deserted, so I could let Azi run free."

With that said, the boy paused for a moment, considering the napping snake. "It appears to have had an opposite effect though," the youth noted, with a light laugh.

Cassia knew that Salaza would not trust Boo, she had experienced this first hand just a short time ago. As Salaza remained still and silent, Cassia took a few steps towards Boo, curiosity growing inside. “An Amphistaff?” She asked, listening as Boo introduced his pet as Azi. Her blue eyes narrowed slightly as she studied the strange creature wrapped snuggly around its owner’s arm. “I’ve never seen one in person before.” Cassia remarked, a smile grew on her face as she looked to the boy. Many things in the galaxy were new to her; one certainly would not consider her worldly. This was a time of discovery for her.

“I came here to explore as well.” She said, trying to keep the awkward silences at bay. “Though, it seems that I will be leaving this place soon.” Cassia said, nodding slightly looking back to Salaza for a moment. Her gaze returned to the Amphistaff, she was so very curious to see it in action. Though, she wasn’t quite sure whether or not she should be a bit frightened.

Nightshade still fussed under Salaza's cloack but she kept her from causing any greater distrubance. She did not want the boy to know that she had it. She did not want the boy around either. As said before she had very little trust in men, especially ones with power and as young as him. The rare exception would be something like a Sith Lord, whom she worked for back in the time of the Old Republic. This child, however, seemed to know too much for his own good. It distrubed her. When [member="Cassia Edric"] had mentioned it, however, Salaza perked when she said how they would be leaving soon. Salaza only nodded to acknowledge she was listening while her unseen eyes continued to look at [member="Boo Chiyo"] .

At the mention of the species, the boy held out his arm and rotated at the waist so that the girl had a better vantage point from which to touch or observe the slumbering biot.

"Yeah, I found him on Sernpidal," the young Pantoran remarked, casually mentioning a world deep in Primeval space. The wild frontier which marked the map and said, 'here there be monsters.'

Was Azi a him? "...or her," the youngling amended a moment later. Amphistaff didn't reproduce in a sexual way. They mutated, beginning in larval stage as the vines feeding a ground mouth, then breaking off as snakes in their adolescent form. Fully mature, they became ground mouths and would spawn three more amphistaff, which would continue the propagation of the species. That all being true, did they even have a gender? "I'm not all that certain just how'd you tell with Amphistaff," the boy remarked naively, giving another light laugh as he smiled.

All the while, it was not lost on him that the Miraluka woman wasn't at all friendly. She hadn't introduced herself, though she'd asked for his name.

And he wasn't apt to ask for hers. Though, another time, another place, he'd be rather interested in finding out if the monster had the bite to go with her bark.

Just not now. Cassia seemed a normal person, like so many of his classmates at the Levantine Academy. Cradling the snake, the boy bowed his respects in parting at mention that they were leaving. "May the goddess grant you good journey," the boy offered politely.

The you in that context being singular of course.

Cassia approached slowly and knelt down near Boo so she could get a better look at the Amphistaff. She listened as the boy said that he had found the creature on Sernpidal. She giggled a bit when he remarked about the Amphistaff’s gender, it did seem to be a bit of a mystery. Cassia would easily have stayed to talk with Boo, but she could tell that Salaza’s patience was wearing thin. She certainly didn’t want to do anything to anger her new traveling companion, especially as they were about to set off for Dathomir. The teen straightened up again and took a few steps back; she smiled down at Boo when he spoke his parting words.

“And you as well.” She bowed in return “Perhaps we will meet again.” Cassia smiled.

So the boy had discovered his on Sernpidal? And to think there were so few left back in her time, during the era when the Vong were thought to be gone. Salaza's own Amphistaff Nightsade had finally calmed now that [member="Boo Chiyo"] was leaving. She was as well, knowing that she did not want to deal with this child anymore. When he said his farewells Salaza only gave a short, almost unnoticable, nod to him. That was enough for him at this point. She waited until he left before tunring away and saying to [member="Cassia Edric"] "We should go. Now. Before it grows too dark."
