Witch Way? (Satara)

@[member="Satara Hawk"]

“Oh yes, duly cautioned,” Tamara said in amusement. “Never trust a race with six opposable digits,” she added.

As they came along the path the people watched them warily, though Satara’s presence was preventing her being claimed/sacrificed/enslaved. However things improved when they came to the villa in the mountains. It was very pretty in a rustic way.

“I love what you’ve done with the walls!” Tamara said as they passed through the fortress gate. It was an ironic comment, since the walls looked like a castle of old, able to resist sieges.

And then she dropped the comment innocently enough. “Not change much since I was here,” she said, looking around at the candlelit halls.

Apperently, the lesson Tamara learned was to never to trust a race with six opposable digits. Satara gave her look then before her mind noted to joke. It was a silly joke, as she understood it and just gave a half-amused smile without saying anything.

Then next remark though, about the walls did make her look back at the woman and arch a brow. She loved what they had done to the walls. "...thanks," the Witch said, partically showing her lack of the joke. Sometimes, she just didn't understand foreigners.

Since she was last here? "And when was that?" Satara ask as she walked, not missing a beat. With such a remarks, the questions would always follow. This was her home and more importantly, she was given the duty to protect it more than others. Answers to such questions from strangers were important.

Not noticing, or perhaps ignoring the fact that Satara did not seem the joking sort, Tamara kept right on with the deflecting statements.
“Oh, a long time ago, Satara.” She turned back to the Clan Mother, as if searching for something in the other woman’s face, then looked away.
“Always too early, I’m always too early,” she said to herself. “My apologies for disturbing you, Clan Mother.” She produced a data chip from her bag and offered it to the other woman. “In case you wish to contact me. I think you will soon enough.”
She was of course alluding to Act I which had not happened for Satara yet, but which certainly had happened to Tamara. Time travel was annoying like that.

A long time ago? So cryptic. Satara did not appreciate it the least bit. She did notice then that Tamara was looking her at bit oddly for a moment before she spoke but it didn't seem like she was talking to Satara at that point. The Witch just found that strange.

With an apology for disturbance, Tamara offered her a data chip and offered it to her. The Clan Mother took it though her face showed she was confused. The stranger explained then. It wa so she could contact her. And apparently she would soon enough. "I... alright," she said, somewhat confused still and took the data chip.

"Let me show you to your room." She turned away from the woman once more and continued walking. A turn right followed and the hallway appeared a tad bit darker than it was before, indicating they were going deeper into the mountain. Then finally she stopped and opened a single set of doors, revealing a simple room, with a wooden bed, some blankets at the end of it with barely any other furniture. "You can rest here. One of my students will bring you some food."
