DESCRIPTION
The Wishblades are borne from the realization that Janick may never be considered as a mainstream Force-user without a lightsaber or two, and so she sought to build her lightsabers. The Utai Cuprate Reactors being the crystals of choice for this pair of lightsabers, their blades are black. Due to the Cuprate Reactors being heavier than standard lightsaber crystals, she quickly realized that, to keep the lightsaber well-balanced to wield, especially with the new circuit configuration being required to fit a Cuprate Reactor into the lightsaber without a dimetris circuit, and hence make the blade immune to being shorted out by cortosis, a curved hilt was the way to go. In addition, the Cuprate Reactors grant the lightsabers the ability to ground and absorb electricity-based Force-powers, at the cost of the crystal being vulnerable to sonic weapons, kinetic attacks as well as disruptors and, with it, the lightsabers.

A funky effect occurs when the lightsaber is exposed to Force-light, provided there is actually any energy stored into the crystal from electricity-based Force-powers: the energy stored inside the crystals will discharge indiscriminately. Now, for the properties that are not the result of the Utai Cuprate Reactors mounted in the lightsabers: they come with a bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse, so that the Wishblades operate under water. The lightsaber hilts themselves are made of alchemized durite, with the alchemical treatment applied to the hilts rendering the lightsabers resistant to other lightsabers. And finally, as with all things alchemical, the Wishblades come with all the usual weaknesses of alchemy: Force-nullifiers, Force-presence, to name the main ones.

Strengths:
  • Can cut through many materials with relative ease.
  • Operates under water.
  • Can ground electricity-based Force-powers
  • Non-dimetris circuits: it renders the lightsaber immune to cortosis dust.
  • Lightsaber-resistant
Weaknesses:
  • The crystal is vulnerable to kinetic, sonic and disruptor damage
  • Force-light: exposure to Force-light can remove its crystal's alchemical properties. If Force-light is used on the lightsaber while the Cuprate Reactors inside the lightsabers contains energy from electricity-based Force-powers, the Reactors will discharge that energy indiscriminately
  • Force-nullifiers: The presence of Force-nullifiers can render the lightsaber nothing more than an ordinary lightsaber.
  • Presence: Force-imbuement presence means that unless you somehow hide it, Force-users can detect the lightsaber.
  • Force-guzzling: With higher throughputs comes higher expenditures of Force-energy: it will effectively double Force-energy consumption when actively using electricity-based Force-powers within 5m of the lightsaber
