Where the wild things are...

The fire was lit and the meat was cleaned and placed on sticks for cooking. There wasn’t much else Allyson could do at this moment, but wait for the fire to mature and provide enough heat to make the meat safe to eat. The girl was a bit inwardly upset, the creature had crushed all her connections to the outside world and she was left at the mercy..for the most part of the stranger that was next to her. He was obviously male, or he could have been just a thick and tall woman. Though his voice despite coming through a helmet was male for the most part, again could totally be staged. Still, without her equipment it was nice to not be alone.

Still, she needed to get a hold of [member="Kaili Talith"].

Flames grew and Allyson took full advantage. She put the meat over the heat and began to rotate them properly making sure that it didn’t burn on just one side. Medium rare was the goal here, not well done and then the other side being raw. Rotating the meat took a few seconds at a time, but she would glance over at the Great Voice as he cleaned the connective tissue from the hide she was able to provide him.

She had to answer his question some time. “Why I was wandering Kashyyyk wilds all by myself? Easy, I had a job to pick up something - get it back to another planet and get paid. Of course I should have known the job was a bust especially with the coordinates being the dead middle of the wilds” Frowning, Allyson knew she screwed the bantha on this one. She had lost the 300 credits for the job information and was going to be making it out with just her life. Sighing softly she rotated the meat once more. “On top of losing the money I paid for the information, I have to buy new equipment…” Her nose wrinkled as she remembered none of her stuff had warranty on it - everything was a bit old and she doubted Kaili could even piece together what was left over.

Groaning under her breath she rubbed her temples, “That was my favorite picture too…” The Corellian tried her best to keep her mind off of the credits, she poked the meat to feel where it was at cook wise, it only had a few more minutes on the fire before hitting perfection. “So what’s a great voice like you doing in a wild such as this.” Nodding her head towards him, she finished, “I doubt you were waiting to save a girl like me.” Chuckling, she began to rotate the meat more often to avoid it from burning.

“So what’s your story, stud” Pulling the meat off, she handed him a stick, "Food's ready too...though wonder how you're gonna eat it...I don't have a blender to make a smoothie for you to drink through that mask of yours." [member="Micah Talith"]

"Hunting." it was the honest truth. The girl had stumbled upon his trap. Crouching down, he made himself comfortable.

"You sorta stepped into my trap." his mischievous voice would remind her through the voice meter of his helm. Now came the conundrum, having to take off his helm to actually eat.

Ahh, first world galactic problems.

Without further ado, the Talith brought his hands up. He fiddled with a few latches along his neck, the airlock releasing. With a shake of his head, he pulled it off, revealing a tanned, scruffy visage with a mop of brown, black hair. It was a shaggy mess, but the bright orange eyes that peered at her from under the dark forelocks were friendly even in their devilry.

"Thanks for the food," he said again, reaching over to grab a handful of the meat. A sharp vibroshiv snapped from his hand in a deft flash of silver. Without bothering for table manners, he simply stabbed the chunk and brought it up. From there, he began to pluck bits and pieces to eat.

"I'd say you're the one who is out of their comfort zone." he added with avid humor.

Taking a bite out of what she had made, Allyson paused for a moment and stared at the hunk of meat impressed. There was a slight nod and then she chuckled softly. The man next to her was spot on with her being out of her comfort zone. Allyson Locke grew up in suburbia Corellia, there were houses and fences and all that jazz - no jungles or creatures trying to eat you. She thought about home and the apartment she shared with her family, the thought was painful, but she did her best to push past the memory and focus on what she was doing. Another bite and the Corellian girl shrugged, it was at this moment that her head turned.

A familiar feeling washed over her as she saw the orange hues, they were unique, but she had seen them before. Allyson opened her mouth, but stopped herself. It would make sense that he was possibly related to Kaili, but then orange could be a common eye color...the galaxy was pretty big. Her nose wrinkled for a moment and then she took another bite then swallowed. “You’re right about that. I tend to steer clear of places like this. Mostly because I was no galaxy scout or anything. Grew up building model ships and playing with engines, nothing like this nope.” Waving the rib she was chewing she grinned, “Ey, but I can cook decently enough.”

His eyes gnawed at her as she tried to fight the urge to blurt. Keep stuffing your face, you’ll get past this. Her mind reminded her as she obeyed until she got to the point of no more meat on the rib. Her mouth open and she spoke, “Your eyes are pretty.” The words were quick and when she realized what she had said her empty hand made contact with her forehead. In an attempt to fix it, she spoke again. “I mean, like I like them and --” Allyson stopped before she made a fool of herself again. No one wants to hear about how their eyes remind them of someone else, especially with a unique color like that. Another facepalm and a sigh. “I guess this is the part where I don’t find out your name, Great Voice?” [member="Micah Talith"]

Taking another bite of the meat, he also complimented her again. "You are right, you are a great cook. Not many are able to work with game." it was an honest compliment.

Watching her face rush with color in abash was enough to perk the dimple on Micah's right cheek. There was a devilish sparkle in his eyes to go along with his roguish smile. Hearing her stumble over complimenting his eyes and then falling into nervous babble was fantastic for his ego. It also made him want to play a little with her and have some fun.

"Oh? You like them?" he teased, flashing her a wink. She seemed to have something more to say before she clammed up. Huh, curious. What little things did she have to hide? Now his interest was piqued. "Care to take a closer look?" he suggested, leaning forward against his thigh towards her.

"Promise I won't bite."

He drew slightly closer to her and reacted to her stuttering over her words about his eyes. They reminded her of Kaili’s, but again it would be rude to assume someone’s lineage based off of something like eye color. Though even then, it was such a unique color. A soft gasp for air as she blinked rapidly, her own greenish eyes reflecting against his. He had bested her most of the day, being the one to save her, making the kill and reaping the benefits of her cooking. He wasn’t going to best her in this.

Allyson Locke turned on her charm and leaned forward closing more of the gap between them. Her eyes peered softly with a hint of desire behind them. She had perfected her sexy look over the last few months, being able to get her way with bartenders and other things along the way. She had to be able to smolder if she was going to get out of any hauling tickets. It was the smuggler way. Shrugging her shoulders slightly she bit the lower left corner of her lip as she thought about his question.

“I do, they’re unique and they must have a story behind them.” A grin swept across her face as her bite released her lower lip. “Shouldn't promise things like that, you never know...I might like it.[member="Micah Talith"]

Even Micah could see where this was going. There was interest there and Micah was his father's son. The twin suns of his eyes grew a little wider in mild surprise at the brunettes flirtation, watching the coquettish manner that she bit her lower lip and leaned ever closer. The Talith recognize a measure of her playfulness for one of his own. So you want to play a game, hmm?

While Micah had desires to one day have a relationship much like that of his mother and fathers', that didn't mean that the young man didn't have other desires of his own. And when a pretty girl takes interest and also states a challenge, all the better. So it would be to no ones surprise when he said the following.

"Oh? Wouldn't want to disappoint a pretty girl like yourself." he beamed, that rakish grin growing with confidence. A wisp of dark hair seemed to fall forward along Allyson's cheek. With her hair half mused from her troubles and a bit of grim on her face, there was an attractiveness there that the Talith could appreciate.

"And there is." he said, a bit of a challenge in his lighthearted voice. As of daring her to continue. To get a closer look.

"Might be willing to part with it... maybe a bite or two." he added with the devil in his teasing wink.

So he wasn't going to back down. He seemed to be the competitive sort and that lit a fire in Allyson's eye. The man before her had a story, his fire eyes and his timing hinted at that enough. Not to mention the armor that hid him perfectly and the fact that he wouldn't share his name. The fire beside them crackled as it consumed the fuel given by the branches they had picked up. Allyson continued to stare into the orange hues that were locked onto her.

Fingertips pressed onto the soft dirt she sat on as she tried to think of a way to get herself into control of the situation. Staying calm and not losing herself in his eyes was key. His hair brushed against her cheek, he was close and she could feel body heat radiating off of him. Yep, he was close. Her voice softened as she stood her ground and casusually while she leaned close enough to whisper in his ear, she let her cheek brush gently against his.

"How about you tell me the story, oh Great Voice..." her breath tickled against his ear as she spoke. Allyson wasn't quick to pull away from him, so she stayed nearly cheek to cheek with the young Talith that saved her life. [member="Micah Talith"]

Flames flickered around them from the nearby fire and reflected in the deep embers of Micah's eyes. So it appeared that the lady wanted to dance. That amused Micah. Well if she was oh so willing --

Micah was fast. Too fast. Allyson should have taken heed not to get so close. Much the less be so trusting at letting herself become so open to attack. For in a deft movement the Taith's arms went swooping out intending to catch the brunette and pin her to the ground. If successful, then Locke would find one rather heavily amused Great Voice hovering above her and her wrists pinned against the scratchy, piney forest floor.

It was moments like this that Allyson wished she had better reactions when it came to anything but flying. It was quick and fast and she found herself on her back this time, trapped under her savior’s weight. Things were getting interesting and they were getting interesting fast. Allyson at this point really didn’t have a plan to get out from under him, but a part of her was curious for some reason. Her mind went back to Kaili as she knew this wasn’t the way this conversation should have gone. The brunette took a couple of deep breaths as she kept her eyes locked onto the man’s fiery orbs. Nope, she wasn’t going to lose this.

A coy smile spread across her face as she stared up at him. “So, is this part of your story Great Voice?” Her tone soft and curious as she looked at him. While she spoke though, her left leg would bend up and lock his right leg. Adjusting her hips under him, she slowly attempted to mask her adjusting her arm. Once she was in a decent position, Allyson would thrust her weight upwards and attempt to flip Micah onto his back.

If she succeeded, she would smirk hovering over the man as she sat on his waist. [member="Micah Talith"]
