Taizen Zeft, the Poet and Urban Champion of Cartao's clone academy, was having a truly awful day. Phenomenally, he was here to do some simple survey work, and of course there had to be a firefight. Of course there was a gang war. And of course there were explosives. But even worse, there were other lunatics running around on jump jets from roof to roof. Oh, hell no. He was going to get some answers. He didn't want to deal with this, but oh well. Only one plan now. He took out a small Carabiner clip and attached it to a wire, running and zipping from one building to the next. He smirked, plotting his path to intercept these other crazies. Whatever was going on, he'd get an answer. Or shot at. Story of his life.

Meanwhile, in a perfectly safe office.

Objective: Don't panic, keep things under control.

Nick nodded. "I didn't really worry about my own security, but it would be wise to forward a message to our associates," he texted a note to Zeft.

> It's Nick. Firefight in your region. Play it safe, gather intel, but don't get killed. --Nick.

He kept it simple. Frankly, while it couldn't hurt to find out more information as to what players were making their move, it also was dangerous to get in too deep. He hoped his brother would play it cool. Still, Taizen was smart. He nodded.

"My associate was actually doing some survey work," he said as he put a datapad on the table. "Governor, I'd like to present to you the first project proposal. The Denon Republic University of Medicine," he said with a smile. "This would allow the people of Denon to have a new hospital and educational facility--both in the 12th district that's been so plagued by violence and gangs." He nodded sharply. "Imagine--a new hospital and school, dedicated to healing the impoverished and improving the community most afflicted by the troubles of this world," he gestured dramatically as the holo display came into view. It was an audacious project, but frankly, if the galaxy was to think of the Republic as a force for good again, audacity was par for the course.

"Fifteen hundred meters!!" Mister Orange yelled out to Blonde.

"Almost there boys! Stay on target!!" Miss Blonde responded back.

The three gangsters kept pace shooting the occasional hostile that lined parts of the opposite rooftops. At the point they were at there was no going back. They had crossed the republic front and were now deep in gang land territory. So every step forward would become more dangerous than the next.

The streets bellow them were paved with murdering psychos and violent gangsters ready to die for their turf, at a certain point you really needed to count your blessings and call it quits. Live to fight another day would be the ideal situation for these people but something told miss blonde they weren't the type to listen to logic.

So the three kept moving and sprinting along until they hit the thousand meter mark. On foot there was no way that the three were going to be able to hit the mega tower without a few gang members catching them in the cross fire, so that meant it was time to get airborne.

"Hit the gas boys!" With the priming noise of a jetpack the woman and her two henchmen rocketed up and out towards the mega tower at blazing fast speeds. They'd be there shortly.

There was an assortment of hushed chatter echoing through the halls of the great building. Soon enough, Gael had come across someone who had appeared to work in the temple. He had asked where he could find the Jedi. Initially surprised to hear of Jedi on his system, he recalled aiding in preparation for a larger group's arrival. Gael now had a location.

Minutes later, there had been an archway where a door would normally be located. A loud voice could be heard - not a raised voice with a disciplinary tone, but rather one with a lecturing one. This had to be the place. As he rounded the corner to subtly enter, he recognized the Grandmaster of the newly founded Republic Force Enclave at the front of the room. He had never had the pleasure of meeting the man, but his reputation had preceded him. From what Gael gathered, Master Dorn was the cornerstone of the Jedi presence in the Republic, a revered figure almost. Now, he spoke to a classroom of students, young and older alike - on the Force, Gael presumed.

Rather than find a seat, he remained standing in the back of the classroom and leaned on the wall just outside of the entryway. His guards followed, but he waved them away before they could cause too much of a commotion. They took up a position outside on each side of the entryway - rifles across their blue torso armor in their traditional post guard stance. Gael had settled in and began to pay attention. The Enclave would come to be a great asset to the Republic he was sure. He wanted to know exactly what they were investing in. Not so much in an investigative matter to express doubt, but rather because he was curious. The Force was an enigma to him - while he knew of it's existence, he could never fully wrap his mind around the concept of it. Perhaps Master Dorn would remedy that for him on Denon.

With the first settling of the attending students Mantic allowed his hands to fall to the sides.
In a simple posture he gave everyone a chance to recognize him for a normal person, a person scarred from war and turmoil, but still only a person.

"In the old days the force appeared in a few beings giving them extraordinary powers. Some used it for god, others for selfish purposes. There was no jedi, there were no sith. There was only force sensitives doing what they thought was right to do. It did not last for long before chaos errupted throughout the galaxy" Mantic then continued speaking with a calm voice.

"War and pain dragged the galaxy in a destructive spiral for ages. Until a few force sensitive understood that it had gotten to far. They understood that while the force was a wonderful thing, it was also dangerous. Even those that tried to do good found it hard to resist the dark side, hard to not allow ones personal gain overshadow the greater good."

"That was why the first jedi organized themselves. To bring the force sensitive into a strict training program that would give them the tools to remain in the light despite the chaos around them."

Here Mantic took a short pause and walked a few steos toward the eastern wall. He wanted everyone to have understood before continuing.

"They succeeded. It took ages, but its result was the first jedi order. It brought safety and order back to the galaxy for centuries to come." he smiled.

"Over time the jedi became the one truly recognized source of force users and their sole task was to make sure force sensitive were brought to the order before the darkness could corrupt them."

"Working hard to maintain this state the jedi soon found themselves in symbiosis with the Galactic Republic, a political body that shared the jedi orders ideal of peace and free will."

"But the free will did not always include the jedi themselves..."

BOOM! Several trip mines went off as Grey stepped out through the landing docks door, only barely able to protect her charge with a last minute push that would cause Grey to be left wide open for the blast. Things were bad, the princess almost lost a limb as they left the docks due to an explosive being triggered, trip mines... Unfortunately, it couldn't be helped. They had to press on but how would they with a pile of rubble blocking their path. From above! She focused her mind and used a Master level Force Heal to rejuvenate and fix her wounds however, it wouldn't replace the robe that had been ripped off of her from the blast, and now she was standing there completely in the nude, however having lost what shred of dignity she had. Everyone with eyes on the area could see her very appealing features, and it was only a matter of time before she herself was blushing and running to the ARC-170 Starfighter in hopes that there was a spare robe, to no avail.

"Kark it all! Clothing just restricts! Lets get a move on!" Grey roared in utter annoyance as she tried to regain composure.... well, the composer of blushing after being stripped down to her birthday suit from the explosive devices. "Men get your jump packs readied, your guns fully prepped, and your minds focused... AND NOT ON ME... Perverts.... We are going to go about the roofs for a moment at least until we reach the other side of this building."

X-3 then chimed in with hoots and whistles and popped from the ARC, opening its storage compartment in its chassis. Grey chuckled. "I completely forgot I had that... my god if Willa could see me put this on she would be thrilled that I'm wearing it." She then put on the special robe that her Padawan, Willa had made her. The robe itself had force crystals in it that would make her powers that much greater. With as powerful as Grey was growing and as composed as she normally is, she had the ability to stand as a Master, yet was stuck as a Knight due to no longer having a master. All Master skills she acquired were from self training.

Finally, when she had clothed herself and all the preparations were completed, jump packs were used by the pilots and Grey grabbed the princess in a fairly unprofessional looking way, and jumped to the top of the building. soon springing across the group jumped off the other side onto the streets, the men landing with packs slowing their drop and Grey hitting the ground on her feet with no problems, now setting her down. "Lady Tazir, I humbly apologize for the way I handled you, however if I held you any other way you may have gotten hurt from falling from my arms."

"Grey, please.... do not apologize. You didn't have to agree to be my bodyguard, even if you felt obligated to do so as a friend. as long as you don't intentionally hurt me with malicious intent, I cannot be mad at you." Princess Shiha Tazir-Shakarna spoke to Grey and smiled. "I have a secret to tell you... something I have wanted to tell you for a while. I know your history with my family. I am a descendent of your former Jedi Master. My full name is Shiha Tazir-Shakarna."

Grey froze. It was a bad time to tell her that. How could she tell her this in the middle of a battlefield, in the middle of a blood bath. It was not to long after that dark side aura came into the picture as three cloaked figures approached them in a three dash reticle formation. "Men take her and go. These Sith are agents that are after my head. I will catch up with you all later. I trust you all to protect her with your lives." and the men left with the ambassador, the three acolytes pulling lightsabers and igniting them, one with twin sabers, one with a saberstaff, and the last with a single hilt shoto blade. Was this the Force's way of testing her for becoming a Master? She knew her final test would be to fight Darth Ferus to the death, but right now the Oaths of the Shadows that she had sworn to reanimate would be what she must uphold.

"From the shadows I strike, and with my 37 oaths, you three must be brought down. " While Grey wasn't fully a Shadow as she hadn't been appointed to Master so she could truly bring back the black ops organization that the Jedi of old had cherished as their axe, she was still bound to follow the oaths that she sought to make her own, to make her creed.

She watched as the two were now too far away for her to catch. Damn her impotent ass for not being able to use the Force as well as she should be able to. However, she also was not paying attention to her surroundings and soon was knocked back into a pylon that was located on the rooftop. Force Push? What the hell? It was there that two Twi'lek Force Users, two Sith Knights stood before her with sabers activated.

Rushing for her comlink, she turned it on. "Someone, help... I'm not ready for this... Sith Knights... two of them... Help!" and with that short transmission the comlink stayed on with the sounds of lightsabers snapping together as a duel commenced. Moira remembered her first blade... one she made to rival a lightsaber with all the right resources that didn't involve phrik or cortosis. and pulling it from her back. She activated the electrical and sonic generators, as well as a force shield that hugged close to the blade, now locked fighting both in dual-wielding form, doing her best to hold off the two Knights as she awaited support.

Kay didn't take notes yet. As [member="Mantic Dorn"] spoke, she shrank further and further down in her seat as she just wanted to hide. She didn't use the Force very much and even when she did, it wasn't the Darkside. Healing Master Dorn after [member="Darth Ferus"] attacked him was not a bad thing. She didn't want him to die. Most of her reckless behaviour was as she felt, only wrong because it was unsanctioned, and....sometimes she hired Sith along with others to help her rescue slaves or ambush pirates.

This entire lecture, although it was a history lesson, seemed as though Master Dorn was just pointing out her flaws to everyone here. Yet, she didn't want many to even know that she was here. Her Force sensitivity was still a secret to most. But if anyone asked then she already had a cover story in that she was only curious and nothing more. Yeah. That should work.

Rafeesh listened on, taking notes. Though, this information was not entirely new to him. He had learned much of this back in the old days. He had heard many of these same points before and yet for some reason he had the feeling that it was different this time. Perhaps it was because of the different people who spoke of it, or maybe it was because the different times and different understandings. It was very unique.

The Jedi themselves were rarely given free will in the sense that the Republic would have defined it. No the Jedi were supposed to follow a strict rule in order to allow others to enjoy the rights that the Jedi upheld. It was akin to military personnel giving up certain rights when they joined up. They willingly gave them up, and while Jedi did not always choose to join it was the same concept. Rafeesh agreed to the principle.

Rafeesh was distracted by movement in the entrance and he turned only for a moment before returning to his notes. Someone had just come in and had opted to stand instead of sit down. Rather strange, but then each to his own. Some people learned better when standing rather than sitting and maybe this man was one of those.

Ayumi was looking at the hard work they were doing and the conversation about hospitals and schools... well that was right up her alley as she grinned. They had or at least she did thanks to Mantic some leeway with things to get what was needed and what was the point of a large hospital ship fleet dedicated to healing and teaching if well you couldn't really live with yourself and they were made for teaching large amounts of medical students... with their tuition helping fund. Either way she was bringing some of those as well as the other things they had like advanced converters and machinery to start cleaning up around the planet. "We will if they can get space cleared we can get a hospital ship down on the planet. The engineers can make a cradle for it to dock." She would have to bring that up with Phenex and Sasori for something in the future while working on some of their other things. "We also have access to some newer medical tech for your people. Including special nysillin at cheaper prices then the bacta." And she had found it somewhat more effective in the healing for people cause no need for large tanks. They could stockpile enough so one person on each planet could have one easily.

The wind caressed her face as she was in free fall over Denon's airspace. Sofia was never a fan of heights but orders were orders. Whatever fear she had before, had to be overcome so that she could dutifully fulfil her responsibilities. After free falling for a minute or so, Sofia pulled the string on her backpack opening her parachute and begun her slow descent onto the planet. Dressed in light armour, with guns strapped to her belt and a sniper rifle in hand, she looked through the scope of the rifle for a target she could hit as waiting for her feet to touch the ground was so awfully boring.

Pew. Sofia fired at what looked like a gangster in the distance. "Kark." She muttered to herself as the shot narrowly missed its target. She had yet to get used to shooting from the air and so was not the best shot at the moment. Pew. Another blaster bolt fired from the barrel of her sniper rifle. This time the shot did not miss and hit the fleeing gangster in the shoulder. Quickly, Sofia fired a third shot sealing the gangster's fate.

"One." Sofia counted as the body of the gangster stopped moving and hit the floor. Looking down, she saw she was about to arrive on the planet soon and quickly bent her legs, preparing to touch the ground. Within a few seconds, her legs made contact with the ground and slid forward for a bit before coming to a complete stop. She had successfully arrived on Denon.

Shin sat in the second row on the left side of the improvised lecture hall, seated nearest to the wall. He listened intently as Master Dorn touched on the mysteries of the Force as well as the outline of the history of the Galactic Republic. History was something Shin was particularly interested in, so his attention didn't falter in the slightest.

"But the free will did not always include the Jedi themselves...", Master Dorn said as he trailed off slightly. Shin tilted his head inquisitively, curious to hear what he meant by that. If the Republic and Jedi's relationship was symbiotic, why did Master Dorn's tone seem to change? What could have gone wrong?

Her breath slowed, it was time to put mind to matter. She had to use something she wasn't proficient with... A special kind of dual wielding. Three hisses came from Grey as her lightsabers snapped on. Her Primary, a Agedan Silver saberstaff with a conductive stone that produced electrical currents along the blades, and a single hilt that glowed aquamarine due to the Sunrider's Destiny crystal. Now was the time for her to master the technique. The three Acolytes eyed each other with confusion. "Who the hell fights like that? You really piss me off queen and this is why [member="Darth Ferus"] wants your head!"

"He can want my head all he wants, but I shall be the one to erase his dark taint. Surrender and I will give you the chance to redeem yourself. This is your only chance to right your wrongs. Your only chance to act like proper beings and not raging vagabonds." Grey spoke and afterward the three acolytes charged her, thinking she wouldn't be able to hold them off in such a large group. Maybe if they were Sith Lords she would have an issue. The three tried bringing their sabers down on Grey's head of course only for all three to be parried by the individual blades and then get met with a Force Wave that would blast them about thirty meters away. If she wanted to blast them further she could have, however to for the sake of fighting smarter rather than harder, she would follow up with a Force Stasis Field. It was there that two of them couldn't move, however one was able to resist the stasis field. Interesting and soon Grey was locked in single combat against one acolyte, who seemed to be able to push her back in pure strength, that's because she wasn't going full out just yet.

When the acolyte's attacks seemed to waver, Grey would use the chest of the acolyte as a vault point to force jump, yet the jump would send her back to another rooftop, and make the acolyte fly off of the one building and into the wall, barely missing the window. That acolyte was knocked out. The other two had recovered from the Stasis Field and were soon pouncing at Grey, who hipped her single blade and used her saberstaff against the two, backflipping and coming into a butterfly kick backward as she dodged the swings of the two acolytes that insisted on fighting. The hissing and snapping of sabers clashing could be heard from a hundred yard distance.

The room started to be filled with uncertainty and even a few whispers.

Mantic had expected as much. The jedi were not always viewed as something positive and several of the force sensitive students present would most likely consider his speech almost accusingly.
This was normal though and Mantic raised an arm to show that he was about to continue.

"Times are changing however, and the once united and well organized jedi order has undergone many changes during it. We the jedi have failed."

Mantic let his arm collapse to his side in a hopeless gesture.

"Yes, the jedi of today has failed in keeping the galaxy safe from the force and the dark side. While some call it evolving the result is obvious, todays diversed jedi are not capable of defending the galaxy from evil and harm."
At this he anew raised his hand holding up a finger.

"But," he continued before letting anyone in. "... But even though we have failed it does not mean that we are giving up."

"No," he shook his head. "Now is the time for true insight, loyalty and sacrifice. Because even though time has changed certain things work in circles. We are now facing a new era of great chaos and deep uncertainty. This chaos can not be allowed to go unopposed and make no mistake, the jedi will oppose it until the end."

Mantic kept his finger up indicating that he was not done just yet. But he did give the students a moment to take his words in.

"There is however a great change in this battle. The jedi can not do it alone this time. We need you at our side. Non-jedi but still force sensitive. That is why the senate of the Galactic Republic has given the Jedi Knights of the Republic a mission to teach you. That is why force academies open to all are opening up throughout the Republic worlds to allow us to help you ward yourselves and other from the corruption that is our true enemy."

Mantic lowered his hands and clasped them behind his back.

"Together, with your help and insight we can through dedication, loyalty and much hardships defeat the chaos once more."

Mantic fell silent. It had been an opening speech for this newly opened filial but he had hidden some teaching within. Hopefully he had inspired the students to take the future lessons seriously and maybe, just maybe consider the larger picture of it all.

Mantic bowed. Students andjedi aline would be given time to mingle and discuss now. Mantic himself took position near one of the exits ready to answer any questions but also to not steal more attention to himself.

As Sofia's squad of snipers landed one by one, they quickly climbed onto the roofs of the building each taking one for themselves ready to provide cover to any member of the Republic that needed it as well as kill any gangsters on sight. Despite her position as the leader of the squad, Sofia was on the ground rather than behind a sniper rifle on the roof. She wanted to experience fighting on the front line first hand. Armed with a shotgun in hand, a knife in her belt and her sniper rifle slung across her back, she carefully made her way around District 12. Adrenline rushed through her body with every move she made. She understood the danger she had put herself in due to her lack of experience on the frontline but she enjoyed the excitement that came with the danger.

"Aren't you lonely Miss?" She heard a voice to the right of her ask. Quickly turning to her right, she came face to face with a gangster who had a blaster pistol pointed at her. The soldier and the gangster was locked in a stalemate each with a gun pointed at the other. The only way out of it was for at least one of them to shoot their weapon. Taking a chance, she hip fired a couple of rounds at the man to which he returned the favour by firing a few shots of his own at her. While Sofia wore a light weight anti-blaster armour which protected her from the shots he fired, he wore a light weight ballistics vest which did not do too well against her shotgun rounds causing him to stumble. This allowed Sofia the opportunity to quickly aim the shotgun at his head, killing him instantly.

As a sniper, she had only ever killed from afar so she had never seen a body of someone she killed up close. It was an unavoidable kill but it was still a confronting sight. There was so much blood. Much more than she had ever seen. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the scarlet pool that was gathering on the street. Although she knew she needed to quickly move to a different area as the shots from their exchange must have alerted others in the area and threats could be en route.

Kay was inspired by the speech that [member="Mantic Dorn"] gave, but what she had wanted to do with it was unclear. Sacrifice? Hardships? She knew all about those. Yet she knew all about loyalty and dedication as well. She never helped people for fortune or glory. She helped them because they needed it.

Now it was over. She got to her feet and stretched out a little before jotting some notes down on her datapad, more or less just her own interpretation of what was said.

So now what? Kay had already started to partake in training, learning to defend herself. And she needed it too. [member="Darth Ferus"] was everywhere it seemed, yet she couldn't say anything about it to anyone. Senator Blackstaff was killed as a warning, Mantic himself was nearly killed as well. She had no clue what Ferus was planning, so she wouldn't have any info to give anyone other than everything that had happened in that last visit. But telling people would put them in danger. It didn't matter that she could be safe here at the moment as there was always the possibility that she wasn't.

Kay pushed back her anxiety. At least she wasn't being questioned by anyone as to why a former Senator was there. And in case she was, her notes just reflected on the kinds of key points that a non Force user would jot down. The exit seemed to be covered for the moment, so she just decided to sit back down and wait instead of getting out of there as quickly as possible. Patience was a virtue....

He was starting to getting used to these sort of events and he assumed he would be opening many more force academies in the near future. Still, it had not been long ago since he had consider these kind of things as spectacles and not something he had wished to be a driving part of. But here he was and he was not lying. The few remaining Jedi in the Republic would need the help of the force sensitive non-jedi if they were going to save the Republic and in the long term perhaps even the galaxy.

He spotted [member="Lady Kay"] in the crowd and waved for her to come closer. He was also hoping to meet the Knights ptresent. They were not many and so the fact that a few appeared on this day was important to show that the jedi were taking this mission serious.

the plasma hit the concrete just next to Weiss's head as he pushed the soldiers forward. the streets were pouring with fire and troopers making a swift and organized advance toward the heavily armed criminal gangs. They were wil and crazy but their lack of discipline and military training was becoming more and more apparent.

"West block secured Sir!" Weiss overheard in the com through the overlaying sound of bombs and fire.

"Roger that Lieutenant. Dig in and secure the civilian reasources. Collateral damage is to be at a miminum." he ordered back

Then the main avenue opened up for the front of the marine battallion.

Glassteel was a queen, it was designed to be as hard as Durateel and it made buildings like this mega scraper possible. But the good thing about Glassteel was that it could be broken, that was if you had the tools for the job. And it just so happened that Miss Blonde and her crew had the right tools for it, the explosive variety. So as they rapidly approached the tower they quickly armed the grenade launchers on their pulse rifles and began to fire HE round after round with the shotgun style 30mm launcher.

The window gave way and soon the three rocketed inside the mega tower. Red lights began to flash and it was clear they had set off some alarms in their sector. However it was not by chance that they came through this window, they were directly next to the turbolift shaft.

"Orange, door." Miss Blonde pointed towards the elevator shaft as the sound of footsteps began to round the corner along with shouts of guards coming to see what was going on.

"On it." Orange said as he positioned himself by the turbolift doors.

Using his power armor he yanked the shaft door open and gave a nod. Quickly Miss Blonde and Mister White stepped inside and began to shoot up the elevator shaft. Mister Orange quickly did the same and slipped inside to close the door behind him. When the guards arrived all they would see was some shattered glassteel and an open window.

She had to wait for the sniper to shoot and fire another shot so that she can see excatly where he was before she could eliminate him. After another minute or so, Sofia heard the loud blast of a sniper rifle as a she watched a helmet emerge and quickly duck back into cover. Looking through the scope of her rifle, she waited for the helmet to reemerge from cover before she rewarded his efforts with a shot to the head. This time she did not have to wait long. After a few seconds, the helmet belonging to the sniper quickly found its way into her crosshairs. As the other sniper fired at another of the Republic's soldier, Sofia fired at him eliminating him.

"Safe. Sniper down." Sofia reported through the commlink channel before carefully firing several more shots in an attempt to help clear the streets of District 12. "Three, four, five, six, seven, eight." Sofia counted her kills after each of her targets were greeted with shot to the head from her sniper rifle.
