It was strange for Reina. Strange that she was with Valery Noble Valery Noble not for something related to training. Of course it made sense. Reina still needed time to adjust to everything after the change she had went through. She felt like she was making adequate progress, though she wasn't anywhere near recovered. It was taking a lot of adjustment for Reina, especially after she had realised quite quickly after being rescued that she could no longer drink her worries away. It just meant that she had to find healthier alternatives. Like meditation. If anything, whilst her body felt more strange and unwelcoming than ever, the Force felt like an old friend that comforted Reina. Yet she found herself getting distracted as Reina shook her head, turning her gaze towards Valery, giving the woman a small smile.

"...So...What's on the agenda for today?"

Another sign of the belief and trust Reina had in Valery. Reina was actually talking. With most people, Reina had been sticking to non-verbally communicating with them. She was afraid of her voice now. Afraid of what becoming an Ersansyr had done to it. Afraid of how it would affect the people around her. But Reina believed her new melodious voice wouldn't affect Valery. That didn't mean Reina was going to turn into some kind of chatterbox however. She still tried her best to speak as little as she needed to. Until she could get someone to help her understand what she could do now, she was going to be more careful than ever.

It was amusing in a way. Reina had never been an overly careful person. She had always wanted to rush into things, but now? She was learning what it meant to be patient. It was a lesson she had been trying to learn when she had lost her leg...but even that was back now. A lesson that was almost ripped away from her. Very few people would have blamed her if she went back into rushing into things, with nothing to hold her back anymore...but instead she was doing the opposite. Reina might have said it was because she was still trying to learn how to be patient...but the real answer was that Reina had lost her confidence. She didn't believe she was the same Reina as before. Not anymore.

Valery glanced over at Reina, her expression softening into a warm smile at the question. It was good to see the young woman willing to talk, after all that had happened. "Nothing that involves training," Valery said as she adjusted the strap of the small satchel slung at her side. "No lessons, no sparring, no endless hours of meditation. Today isn't about being Jedi. It's about being you."

Her eyes lingered on Reina for a moment, "We're going to take a walk through the markets, maybe stop at one of the gardens, and I've heard there's a place nearby that does the best sweetbread in the sector. A day to breathe, to just… enjoy yourself." Valery reached out, her hand brushing lightly against Reina's arm. "You've been through enough tests already. You don't need another. What you need is time. And maybe a little fun to remind yourself of who you still are."

Her lips curved into a faint smirk, a spark of playfulness slipping into her tone. "Besides, I could use the company. It gets boring when it's just me."

She gestured forward, inviting Reina to fall into step beside her. "So, what do you say? Shall we make a day of it?"

"Honestly? Meditation has been helping for once...I'm still no good at it...but it's helping me figure out...how to get comfortable with myself. Just sitting there...breathing."

The slight smile that was on Reina's face vanished for a moment when Valery suggested they were going to walk through the markets. That meant people. That meant Reina would have to stop talking. She needed to find someone who could teach her how to control that aspect of herself, but until that moment, she was going to be fine trying to go off what limited communication she could do. It would give her a more practical experience to try and use what little Sign Langauge she had been learning.

"...I still think I have a few more tests I need to go through. I'm not...the same person I was before. A lot of the trials I went through...are pointless now."

As she spoke, Reina looked down at her hand, stretching it out and clenching it, as if she was waiting for it to change. That was one thing she had at least started to get a slight handle. Reina knew how to focus her body well enough for the transformation. Otherwise she would be still flopping around the place like a fish.

"Though...getting out will do me some good. Colette's been wanting to focus on my recovery and healing. I suppose this will help."

Valery slowed her steps, her smile widening as she turned more fully toward Reina. Both hands came up to rest gently on the younger woman's shoulders, her touch steady and reassuring. "Hey," she said softly, her gaze locking with Reina's, "Whatever trials lie ahead, they will be faced in time. But today isn't one of them."

Or, well, perhaps in some way it was a little.

Her grin grew, brighter now, carrying that familiar spark of playfulness. "Today is a girl's day out. Sweetbread, markets, gardens… maybe even a little mischief if we feel like it." She gave Reina's shoulders a light squeeze before letting her hands fall back.

"You've carried enough weight already. Right now, you get to just be Reina." Valery's smirk lingered as she gestured ahead once more, the invitation clear. "So come on, let's make the most of it. I promise, we're going to have a good time."

"Oh. I've...never really had a girl's day out. Never had the chance. Felt like it would be...too awkward with Eve and Tigris. And...well, there isn't any other girls that I'm close to."

It was amusing in an ironic sense. Reina didn't know how to just relax. To just be Reina meant working. Fishing. Pushing herself to a breaking point. That's what it always used to mean to her at least, but maybe this was a sign that she needed to relax more. Of course, she needed to learn how to do it...but Reina was turning out to be a better student than she remembered herself being.

"I'm going to leave the talking to you though...I'm still not fully confident in my abilities to control my voice yet...Hopefully I can find one of the Ersansyr I've met in the past to help me with it...Until then...Gotta look look at the bright side. I'm learning sign language so..."

Either way, Reina was ready to head out for the day. Just...to relax. There was no mission she had to do, no-one she had to save. Well. That was a lie. She had to save herself. She had to stay as calm as she could.

Valery's smile softened at Reina's words, and she gave a small nod, "Then it's about time you get the chance," she said gently. "You don't have to worry about a thing today. I'll do the talking, and we'll take it at whatever pace feels right for you. You just get to enjoy yourself."

Her orange eyes lingered on Reina for a moment longer before a playful grin crept back across her lips. "We'll start with the markets, see what catches our eye. Maybe we treat ourselves to something new, maybe we sit and people-watch while snacking on something sweet. Then we could have our hair done, find a little spot for lunch, and if you're up for it… nails, spa, whatever feels fun."

Valery reached out to gently nudge Reina's arm, her touch light, encouraging. "No missions, no pressure, no need to be anyone but you. Just a day where we laugh too much and walk away with sore feet because we spent too long wandering. That's all I want for us today."

She gestured ahead again, her smile steady and warm. "So, shall we?"

With Valery doing the talking, Reina was going to be able to enjoy this more than she expected. It was what she needed anyway. Some time to relax and get out of the mindset she had been. Instead of locking herself up and studying, she needed to live. To feel like she was alive. And a girl's night out was going to be perfect.

"...Nails might not be the best of ideas. I'm not sure how they'd react if my nails turned into claws...It could be a fun joke though..."

That was the way for Reina to try and see what had happened to her as less of a punishment and more of a...change. Thinking of ways she could just use them that didn't revolve around fighting. Tricking people with her changes, surprising them. She nodded however as Valery gestured for them to move and Reina started to move, stretching her arms out for a moment.

"You know...I've found that I have a really big sweet tooth now that I'm an Ersansyr...So I'll enjoy a sweet snack."

Valery's grin widened at the mention of claws, and she gave Reina a knowing look. "Are you kidding? Your claws would look amazing. Half the salon would probably be jealous," she said with a chuckle, clearly unbothered by the thought. If anything, the idea seemed to amuse her.

Her gaze softened again as she caught the mention of Reina's sweet tooth, and she gave a decisive nod. "Then we'll start with a snack. Ice cream, maybe? Or there's a little chocolate shop not far from the market. Do you have a preference?" She reached out once more to nudge Reina's arm, her smile steady and reassuring.

With that, Valery started forward, her pace easy, her expression bright with anticipation for the day ahead.

"Then... maybe some shopping."

A small little smile spread across Reina's face at the comment about her claws. The idea of people being jealous over them seemed like a joke to Reina but it was still enough to make her smile as she folded her arms along her front, thinking about what kind of snack she wanted to have, tilting her head in thought.

"I visited Atrisia recently. A woman gave me some sweet rice cake thing. It was really sweet...I don't know what it was called, so I think chocolate would be a better choice though."

She left out the part where Reina had thought the woman had actually seemed pretty. It was a thought that Reina herself wasn't trying to focus on. Instead she tried to think of what she'd get whilst shopping. It would be no surprise that Reina would think about something combative...but she was trying to think of something casual to buy. A dress. Some jewellery. Stuff that she wouldn't normally think about...

"Shopping could be nice. I got a few more credits than I normally have because of my family."

That was one benefit from finding your long lost family at least. You get to have all of the pocket money you missed throughout the years.

"Chocolate it is," Valery said with a bright grin. She adjusted her stride and gestured for Reina to follow, weaving them through the market streets until the warm, rich scent hit them before they even reached the doors. When they stepped inside, shelves upon shelves of carefully arranged chocolates stretched out before them. Bars, truffles, dipped fruits, more shapes and flavors than anyone could imagine.

Valery chuckled softly, shaking her head as she took in the overwhelming variety. "Alright, this might be harder than I thought. There's no way we're walking out with just one thing." She turned to Reina, her smirk playful. "Good thing I came prepared. I've got my husband's credit card today, so we're covered."

She knew that somewhere in the Galaxy, Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble was listening along just enough to catch that joke.

She gave Reina a little nudge with her elbow, orange eyes glimmering with mischief. "So go ahead, pick whatever looks good. We'll make a proper afternoon of it."

Well. If money was no object at this point...Reina was going to go full on out there as she started picking out different bars of chocolate some with nougat, some with nuts, some with fruit, different bits of covered up fruit covered in different types of chocolate from dark, to milk, to white. And hey, it was to make up for the mostly fish diet she had whilst growing up. It was finally time to indulge in that little sweet tooth that Reina had gotten. What else did Reina want...Honestly? This seemed enough for her, with the little supply she had gotten.

"I'm not taking any of the blame for this, if he does ask where all of his credits went."

A little fiendish grin spread across her face at the idea of being able to grab whatever she wanted though. It felt like she was a kid in a sweet store. Well...She was in a sweet store? Was she still a kid? Eh. The jury was still out on that.
