He smiled, though in truth the solution seemed more difficult to him than just walking around and finding your way for a while.

Kurt supposed that everyone had their own way of learning, and his way probably wasn't the best when the truth of it was told. He generally got lost once or twice a day here, though that would go away when enough time passed for him to actually know his surroundings. When he knew where he was going he could actually get around quite quickly, he knew most of Nar Shaddaa like the back of his hand and Coruscant? Well that was easy as could be.

At least when he caught some of the landmarks. "Well."

He began as they slowly turned a corner and a large building came into view. The structure wasn't the tallest on Campus, that honor belonged to the Agricultural research center, but it was certainly big enough to dwarf any building on Mos Espa. The Main Hall seemed to loom over everything, catching warm rays of the sun and illuminating its surroundings.

"Here we are." He said as he glanced around. "Main entrance is over there, front desk is right beyond that."

Kurt smiled. "They'll help you with anything you need."

And just like that, they were there.

The structure was immense, and she was forced to stare with wide eyes at it for a moment or so just to take it all in. Light bounced off its surface, and surprisingly so too seemed the heat of the sun, enough that she felt it would have been easy to simply bask in the warmth of it.

Her nerves were getting worse, so much so that there was a very subtle tremor to her hand, a hand which still bore significant scars from an incident with some glass back on Thule. It had never quite recovered, not even with her brief use of the Force.

Glancing to Kurt as he finally stated that it was the end of the line. A shame, she had been enjoying the conversation but... They both had places to be, things to do, her time here was just beginning, and there'd be plenty of faces to get used to seeing in the days ahead.

"Thank you" she said, turning to smile at him, "I owe you one. Not that I've much to offer, but if you ever need anything just... Hunt me down. If you even can."

She looked to the Main Hall a moment later, and swallowed back the lump in her throat. This was it.

Taking a step away from him she slipped her hands into the pockets of her jacket and let out a small sigh. She could do this.

Kurt gave her another shrug.

"Don't worry about it." It wasn't like he'd helped her out for any sort of reward, that wasn't him. He was here to make himself a better person, and he could only assume that it was the same for Asha. Being a doctor was a noble pursuit after all, probably far more noble that an idiot like him learning a little bit more about starship engines. The thought made him smile for a few seconds, and then he offered her a small wave. "Good luck."

Not that she'd really need it, the people here were more than welcoming.

"If you get bored later you can come find me." Kurt doubted that such a thing would ever happen, but he knew that a big place like this could be intimidating at the very best of times. He was used to starting out on his own and not being surrounded by people he knew, he'd done that for years before Jamie and Kaile came along, but he didn't want anyone else to be trapped in a situation like that if they didn't have to be.

"Building 3A." He told her. "My name should be somewhere there on one of the doors."

He shrugged. "Cya."

"You too" she said, with a tiny smirk, "I hope you didn't miss too much. 3A? Got it. Well, see you around, Kurt!"

Starting to walk once again, she ventured toward the building and gave it another tall glance, from top to bottom. Had this been the first thing she'd seen upon reaching this world she might have felt intimidated, instead all she felt was awe.

The doors opened at her approach, it seemed she didn't even get time to think on her decision any longer. Nope, just straight into it. Probably for the best.

Another set of doors lay just ahead of her, beyond which she could see a series of desks which made up the entry foyer. No doubt that was where she'd find the administrators required to complete her initial orientation.

Letting out a short sigh she suppressed her nerves and pushed through, approaching the first desk given that it was surprisingly dead inside. At least, there seemed to be no students standing around.

"Hey" she began, as a woman looked up at her with kind scrutiny, "I'm looking for late admissions?"

Without a word she turned to a screen and began to type something. Asha wondered if she was going to respond, yet a few moments after she gave a small nod and gestured to a seat. "Someone will be out to see you shortly, Miss Hex."

Blinking in surprise, she stepped toward one of the various benches and took a seat. Did they not have many people arrive this late? Or was there another reason that she'd known her name?

She didn't suppose it mattered.

Kurt meanwhile headed back on his normal path.

The science building was still about another ten minute walk away, and he half way considered trying to find a speeder of even a bicycle that could take him on the path faster. The thought was a bit silly of course, he'd undoubtedly find neither of those things in close enough vicinity for it to actually help him now, but the idea was enough to bring a small smile onto his face. It didn't really matter whether he was late or not, the class was a lecture and as long as he was quiet he could make his way inside unnoticed.

At least he assumed so.

The first few times he'd done it, accidentally of course, it had worked out surprisingly well, though one time the professor had asked to see him afterward. The conversation had been a terse one, and had lead to Kurt explaining that he was still rather new here. The man had accepted the answer, though warned that it wouldn't be tolerated further.

It was something that swam in the back of his mind as he slowly began to jog.

He was here for a reason after all.

The next thirty minutes of her life was a blur.

Flimsiplast sheets were handed to her, some she had to read over and sign, some held key information such as a timetable of classes and lectures, as well as dorm rules. The stack was pretty damn high by the time that she left the Main Hall and stepped back into the sun, and her mind reeled under all of the information it had been forced to absorb.

In her haste to leave, she had quite forgotten to ask if they had an interactive map app... And she wasn't about to head back inside again. It had been a little overwhelming, throw her before a Sith any day if it meant avoiding this bureaucratic chit.

With a heavy sigh she reached for her comms, and spoke to Jyn who had no doubt been patiently waiting to hear back from her. Her friend had promised to help set up the dorm room, and all of her things currently lay within her ship which she had entrusted to Jyn for the time being. Didn't make sense to risk losing it here on campus.

Her dorm block was 5, though she hadn't bothered to check any of the details beyond that just now. That was enough to give her friend an idea of where to bring the Prophet and so after her information was relayed she hurried along to find another of the holo-maps.

This time, perhaps she ought to actually study it, make a note of the general region of the buildings she'd be attending each day.

Hopefully she'd arrive at her dorm room before Jyn, though given the size of this place... That was highly unlikely.

It turned out that the teacher of the lecture was more than amicable to him.

Apparently it wasn't all that uncommon for students to stumble into his classes just a bit late, an issue with scheduling of classes too close together. Kurt neglected to mention that he hadn't been in a class room but was just lost around campus, but either way it worked out alright. The lecture went on for some hours, and as always Kurt attempted to take the best notes that he could. The effort of it all was actually quite difficult, mostly because he had a hard time following along.

Eventually though it ended, and Kurt was left holding a piece of paper with scribbled notations about the theories of engine propulsion and improving it with various types of Tibanna gas that were produced by one sort of creature or another.

All very confusing.

"Well." Kurt said to himself as he stepped back outside of the Science Building, glancing at the sheet and frowning for a moment. "I should call dad...he'd probably know some more of this."

He doubted Jamie would have much of a clue, this wasn't her area of expertise.

After an unreasonably long time stood studying the nearest holomap, she felt as though she had somewhat of a decent idea of where it was she was headed. Pulling out her datapad she had written down loose directions, going off landmarks more so than street names, and with all of the loose flimsiplast sheets now tucked away in her backpack, and with the datapad in her hand for reference, she made her way back along the path she had taken with the guy from earlier.

Surprisingly enough, and luckily for her, the dorm block seemed to be close to the science building, just a few blocks away in fact. That meant she'd have a chance to see the building up close and personal before settling in.

A message popped up, and she stared at it for a moment while still walking, doing her best to sense any others who were around, which were admittedly few at this hour, seemed as though lectures and the like were still happening.

Ship's docked, which building is it?

Slipping the flimsiplast sheet under the datapad she made use of her now free left hand to throw her friend a reply, looking up every now and then to make sure she was on the right path.

5C, second floor. Meet me in the foyer.

Looked like Jyn was going to beat her to it, that wasn't fun... Almost taking it as a challenge, Asha began to pick up the pace, hurrying down the path and taking a right at some building with a funny name. To be fair, most of the buildings had funny names. The science building was up ahead, and truth be told it was somewhat breathtaking to look upon, sharp angles inlaid with glass. Her eyes widened in awe.

Jyn... You've got to see this place, once everything's in we'll have to explore... It's insane.

She wondered if any of the old ruins she had explored had ever looked like this, so pristine and beautiful. Food for thought if nothing else.
