That he’s fine being married to the force and his job. Vulpesen needs a human connection to be balanced. Without it, he’s simply a tool and not a person, himself.

Until the force has no influence over fate and destiny, until it has no will of it's own, none of us are free.

She can't be free.

The dark side is the only weapon against The Will, and therefore she needs the Sith to achieve that end.

She'll change them, make them good people like herself someday, without destroying them all to do it.

Then the real work begins.
