Private Welcome To The Order

This was a first, but hopefully not a last.

Kahlil stood in the spaceport of Coruscant, dressed in a more.. Normal Jedi robe. He wasn't one for them, but right now he didn't want there to be any confusion on who he was. Shield of the Jedi. Here to meet a newcomer to the temple. Where they came from, he didn't know. He could always ask, but that'd be for when he met them. His one silver eye glanced among the ships, paired with the still dull grey of his left. Seeing through only one eye was still something to get adjusted to.

At least the person he was looking for he could see.

"Padawan Vale, yes? It's good to meet you."

What trudged up the boarding ramp to meet Master Noble looked more like a large Wampa cub and less like a Jedi Padawan. Dressed in a furry white hoodie, black sweats, and fuzzy Ewok slippers, Tala Vale was clearly not expecting a Jedi Master to greet her right off the bat. Otherwise, she would be dressed more normally in robes as the Jedi Master did.

With a duffle bag strapped to her body, Tala gave off grumpy energy as she glanced around for her handler. As she took off her hood and revealed her red hair that had been tied up into a messy bun, her back was trying its hardest not to be ignored. The words she uttered came out in more of a pained grunt than anything intelligible. "It should be illegal for humanoids to be stuck in the same position for hours on end... Maybe I can talk to the Jedi Council about ittttttt...!" As the pain came again up through her back, she swore in her head that public starship travel was something that the Sith had come up with.

"Padawan Vale, yes? It's good to meet you."

Having been told that someone would be there at the gate to pick her up, she scanned the surroundings to find him or her but being practically blind made it hard to "see" who was in front of her. Her ears pricked up after a second of turning her head, she saw what she was looking for, a large outline of force energy and a male voice greeting her. Hopefully, this would be the start of the new life she had come here for. Quickly walking up to the figure and bending her body over shallowly, she bit her lip as the pins and needles sensation shot up her back again. "It's good to meet you too... Knight... Master... It's good to meet you whoever you are." She didn't care anymore who was in front of her. She just wanted to be brought to her room so she could curl up on a hot pad to ease her pain.

Oh.

All at once Kahlil felt overdressed. Inwardly he was laughing. Really laughing. But outwardly he kept a calm expression. Not that he thought she'd see it. Miraluka. It'd been a long time since he last spoke to one. A brow raised as she bowed. Then he turned his gaze towards the ship she was just on. Ah.

"Once we get your training underway, we'll also make sure to get you a shuttle. It won't be anything fancy, but a Jedi can help people best when they don't feel cramped, among other things, right?"

The kind smile returned as he turned, just a little.

"Shall I show you the temple, now?"

Tara let out a sigh of relief as her shoulders sagged. "Thank you... It would be nice not to be squished into a seat not meant for bigger people and the toddler behind me was fond of kicking... Overall it was a fun first spaceflight." The Jedi Master would practically feel the sarcasm oozing out of her as she said that last sentence. It had not been a fun experience and she would rather have walked from her home planet in a spacesuit rather than be smushed in that tin can again.

As he asked if they should proceed to the temple, she gave off a hint of a smile as she nodded in agreeance. "Please, lead the way... We can get to know each other more on the way there." This man bubbled in force energy, he was clearly a powerhouse. The voice sounded familiar from news interviews too. She couldn't put her finger on who it was though. Oh well, he was kind and for now, that's all that mattered. She could learn the man's name later.
