Welcome to the academy

"The only problem is with the flying ships part is that we need another starfighter......for you that is. For the exercise I had in mind, your freighter won't cut it. Not saying it's a bad ship or anything, don't get me wrong, but I generally get around in my little TIE Defender and you know....umm, well you'll need a ship that can keep up with it, and humble me too of course."

Jade would do one of those big pretend smiles and put both arms up and out to her side in one of those oops I don't really know gestures trying to be sarcastic, not because none of what she had said was untrue or anything, but more just because she felt like playing around and by now some of that alcohol was making her tipsy given she had downed five shots of whisky by this stage.

"Okay, I believe I know where I can borrow an X-Wing from. This one belongs to a friend of mine who is away on leave. If you want, I will let you borrow it. But you must not put a single scratch on it otherwise it will be my arse more than yours."

Jade emphasised the last part more than anything. The X-Wing belonged to a Jedi Master that had been a close friend to her late husband Qi-Xian Sunrider. He had stayed close to Jade during those early tough times after her husband's death. He trusted her, thus why she had access to some of his pride possessions while he was away. Umm not sure if lending D'vok that X-wing might be such a great idea afterall, Jade immediately having second thoughts over the idea.

Jade and D'vok finished up their drinks at the bar. Jade stood up and motioned D'vok to do the same and follow. Jade would then make her way to a private hanger that housed her own TIE Devender the Soul of Wildcat, and the X-Wing belonging to a Jedi Master friend that T'vok would borrow. The TIE Defender was very much Jade's favourite ship. Jade was a whizz when it came to Imperial fighter ships. As for the name Wildcat on her pride and joy, Wildcat was her callsign back in the day when she was a leading top ace pilot in her squadron, Hellfire Squadron in the New Republic's Retribution Fleet.

"Okay D'vok, here we are. The X-Wing is right there as you can see, I assume you know how to do all the preflight checks etc? Once you are done with that, hop in and wait until I am in the air and then follow me from there."

She then pointed a finger at her padawan as she eyed him directly in the face.

"And make sure you follow my instructions to the letter, as that is not my ship and I can't afford any major cock ups."
