Welcome to the academy

D'vok Windroamer entered the jedi academy. He honestly had been expecting more. As he roamed the halls in his burnt brown pilot jacket, he gained several scornful looks. He understood why he was here.
"Can I help you?" asked an elder jedi.
"Probably. I can use the force. At least I think I can. I want to become a jedi."
"Well that's no easy task. But I can sense that you are serious. The first thing you will need is to find yourself a master."
"Right." D'vok nodded his head.
D'vok roamed the halls, before coming upon a woman whom h.e belived to be a jedi master.
"Hello. I know this may seem a bit sudden, but... Can you train me?"

Jade was casually walking the hallways of the Jedi temple. There were people everywhere, however one man stood our amongst all the others. His clothes looked rough, clearly he had looked as if he had been through some rough patches. He looked lost. As Jade kept walking, the man began walking towards her. He grabbed her attention and then asked the question she expected him to ask.

"Can I train you?"

Jade would repeat back at him trying to keep a straight face at the very serious looking man wearing a burnt brown pilot's jacket.

"Sure I can. However please note that I am no master. I'm just a knight, but training you will be no problem."

Jade smirked at man as she finished off her sentence and put out her right hand introducing herself.

"I'm Cynna Jade Sunrider. However you can call me Cynna or Jade even though I prefer to be called Jade. You are?"

@D'vok Windroamer

Jade extended her hand out to shake D'vok's hand grinning.

"Pleased to meet you D'vok. You look like a pilot of some sort? I myself am an ex Imperial fighter pilot and a veteran Republic fighter ace."

Jade would tell the stranger cranking her neck quickly to the side so her long brown hair would fling around. Clearly Jade was trying to flirt with the man, while at the same time show off, or rather tell the man just how much of a fabulous pilot she was.

"So first thing is first. I need to show you to some quarters. Perhaps we can then get a meal, assuming you're hungry, show you around a little and get to know each other. Then we can discuss your background a little so I can get an understanding at your current competency with the Force, and then layout some kind of training schedule for you."

Jade raised an eyebrow as she spoke in her somewhat poshy accent.

"Sound like a good plan to you D'vok?".

@D'vok Windroamer

D'vok smiled slightly.
"Sounds good to me. I'd like to start with lightsaber training as soon as possible."
As they reached the mess hall, D'vok grabbed an abundant amount of food, before wolding all of it down in a matter of minutes.
"Sorry I'm so hungry. I just got back from Dathomir. Those nightsisters are brutal."

Jade looked at her padawan menacing as he scoffed down all the food.

"So you mean to not even ask if your Master wanted to eat, if she was hungry before scoffing down all that food?"

Jade eyed her padawan all serious one minute and then laughed the next.

"Only kidding, eat all you want, you will need the energy for later. I myself am not actually hungry."

As for lightsabre training as soon as possible."

Jade would strongly stress out the last part of her sentence.

"Well as soon as you're done eating, and please take your time, I will first then show you to your quarters, you will get cleaned up, and then we'll do some sabre training. There is no need to rush things. Patience is a virtue."

Jade stood up straight and firmly as she spoke before asking her new padawan one last but important question before showing him to his quarters.

"Do you already have a lightsabre? If not you can borrow one of mine for until you learn how to build your own."

@D'vok Windroamer

As the two walked down the hallway, D'vok would tell Jade that he had found a lightsabre and that it had belonged to Darth Vader.

"No who was he? A mouse perhaps?"

Jade would respond laughing out aloud.

"Of course I know who Vader was, everyone should know that. Umm his lightsabre you have you say? Okay then, since you wanna play swords to start off your training, why don't you go get Vader's lightsabre and let me take a look at it? Your quarters is just here. Get yourself ready and we'll head off somewhere for some training. I know of a nice place we can train at."

Jade was a bit skeptical about this man actually having Vader's real lightsabre, but if he really did, now that would be a blade she would wanna spar against with hers.

@D'vok Windroamer

"Am I ready? No, I mean yes, turn that off padawan. We're not training in the hallway!"

Jade stood there waiting for D'vok to do as instructed and sounding a little irritated at his impatience.

"As I said earlier there is no rush. By the way may I inspect that lightsabre? Since you found it, I need to ensure that it's safe."

D'vok handed the lightsabre over to Jade after he of course turned it off. Jade inspected the hilt before re-igniting it.

"The dark side doesn't feel ever so present wIth this lightsabre. I would have thought that the dark side would have been ever more so prevalent on a lightsabre that had once belonged to Vader the dark lord of the Sith. But I'm no expert on the matter. If you want a more accurate opinion, perhaps you could show this to one of the highly more experienced masters?"

Jade continued to do some solo kata with the lightsabre until she finally extinguished it and handed it back to her padawan.

"Looks safe to me, that part I'm certain of. Now follow me to my quarters. I just need to get some stuff that we'll need for today's training."

As the two made their way to Jade's quarters, Jade used the opportunity to find out more about her padawan.

"So tell me a bit about your background. Where are you from? Why do you want to become a Jedi? Are you a pilot?

Jade emphasised the last question the most as being a veteran fighter pilot herself, it interested her the most to know if her padawan was a pilot and possibly had an interest in fighter pilot combat.

"I'm from Tatooine. Grew up there. Nasty place. At least when I was there it was. I wanted to become a jedi because... because... Throughout my life, I've been searching for a sense of purpose. A reason for the maker to give me such an odd life. There are plenty of times where I very clearly should've been dead. Why wasn't I? Maybe If I become jedi, the force will provide me with some clarity, y'know. I am a pilot. Captain of the Prometheus' Bounty. Though in my time working with the Cartels I did get to fly an old T-16 Skyhopper. I you can find it I can fly it.

"Umm a Tattooine guy....then I agree, you would have had it tough alright."

Jade acknowledged her padawan as she entered her quarters and quickly retrieved a blaster rifle and a drone.

"Okay my good friend, we have everything we need for the training. Let's go for a walk to the nearby lake, it will be quiet there for us to fully focus on today's exercises. Follow me please."

Jade motioned D'vok to follow her out as she shut the door to her quarters. It would be at least a 20 minute walk there so she decided to continue off from their current conversation.

"So you say you should've been dead many a time? What you do to draw to that conclusion? Oh and the Prometheus' Bounty, what sort of ship is that, and what did you do for a living before coming here?

Jade was probably overwhelming her padawan with questions by this stage, yet she felt like she had to ask them. After all if the two were to bond as master and padawan learner, then it was only right she knew who exactly he was.

"Odd jobs....hem, okay then."

Jade was about to ask another question, then hesitated and decided not to ask it in the end. They finally got to their destination. The breeze was nice and refreshing by the small river. There were a few trees around, but most of the area was very much nice green lush grass. Perfect for lightsabre training.

"Okay D'vok, this is how we will begin. I'm setting this blaster to stun. So if you get hit, you won't get killed. You're gonna stand a good 5 metres back over there, and I'm slowly going to shoot at you and you will deflect the blaster bolts away.

Jade would explain to her padawan pointing in the direction that she wanted him to walk to.

"Keep in mind I'm only holding the blaster. I'm not sure if you know how to deflect fire directly back at me yet. If you already can, that's great, but do not do it as you will probably hit me since I'm only holding the blaster. The purpose of this initial exercise is to see if you can block blaster fire with your lightsabre. If you can then we'll move on. If you can't then I'll teach you how. Any questions before we begin?"

Jade would wait for her padawan to respond before beginning.

Jade readied her blaster by ensuring it was set to stun and then pointed it at her padawan.

"Okay here goes."

Jade called out as she began firing at her padawan. She fired slow bursts at first and then depending on her padawan's progress, would then increase the intensity of the rapidness of the blaster bursts.

"Good job, now don't get cocky kid."

Jade would call out as she released the drone and set it to full.

"Now you will deflect both blaster bolts from the drone and me simultaneously."

Jade could see her padawan was already ready so shebsimply began the exercise. The drone fired blaster bolts at him from all different directions, while Jade also fired at him from where she stood.
