Network Zillo.

The builders and producers of the Techno Union. And that meant sometimes they had to do things that were… boring. Taozin and Bha’lir. They got to run around firing off all their newest toys, causing mayhem and breaking into just about anything. Zillo? They kept the show running. Kept everyone armed, brought in new talent, new companies and protected what was out there. Protected what was theirs. Learned everything they could And the Techno Union, they knew that there was a big shift going on in their corner of the galaxy.

The world was changing. Yes, it was still the era of the glittering industrialists, but still, there were splinter groups in the Union that were here to cause and issue. And while Jennifer Blanchard was all over joining the fight to help hack down a few of the companies from the comfort of her datapad, she was also all about making sure the right equipment and materials stayed in the proper hands.

Some lessons needed to be taught, others needed to be prevented.

And she wasn’t about to allow some criminal group the ability to stop the Obsidians from doing their jobs. The slicer had a job to do, and she had a few presents to bring the foreman of the mines here. And what she came with? That was a pair of Lucrehulks with a half dozen each of the Tambor and Gunray Destroyers.

The goal? Bring Katanos up to speed as a protected world from threats foreign and domestic. These vessels would remain in orbit as well as a fair amount, she thought the slice she had on the military purchase was four Ocelot Stations.

The rest was a lot of droid fighters and some of the newest productions of Hegemonic and Haor Chall droid soldier lines. Still, she contacted [member="Draco Vereen"] and a few others to come help with the assistance of these defenses and making a few tours of the mines. She was going to do her best to update their electronics, but the rest? Well, the last time Marek visited was before the galaxy went hay-wire.

Part of her wanted to upgrade her armor. Part of her wanted just have the option for when she really needed something.

Lucien was newly minted as the Director of Finance within the union (Thank you [member="Marek Starchaser"]) and he intended his administration to be one of reform newsworthy reform. He didn't want to go down in history as the 'wet' Director and his rather new position within the union as a whole meant that his reforms needed to be a success, he couldn't afford any Muck ups . He needed a testing ground for the proposals he intended to make and Katanos fit the bill the interest from Net Zillo meant any successes could be well publicised and the absence of any massive corporations on the planet meant any hiccups could be blamed on mismanagement on behalf of the forman without any real risk of offending someone important.

Whilst [member="Jennifer Blanchard"] and the obsidian order addressed the issue of physical security Lucien would examine fiscal security. After all there was no point in defending the front door with big guns if the foreman was going to leave the back door open. Lucien was fearful of the risk that small time capitalists would reach out to the underworld for supplies or capital. He wanted to nip the potential issue in the bud before growing seasons came along.

Lucien had to this end arranged a tour of the mines for himself and any member of the finance department who wished to tag along. He also made inquiries about a meeting with the mine foreman and any Corporate overlords they may have, they would make first rate test subjects for his principal ideas.

He trusted that they wouldn't say no.

So much work needed to be done. Clankers needed replacing and the orbital protection was lacking. With the rapture, the Techno Union folded on their government and production centers. Small mines like this? That was… well, they were needed too. But they weren’t mission critical. They were more like ‘when you have the time.’

And right now? They had the time.

She wasn’t here to really construct the Spire. They were just going to bring an orbital platform into orbit, and use it fpr some Zero-G and vacuum training for the Order, not much else out here, aside from keeping a watch on the mines, but… Yeah, that would be important, and the Network Directors would probably use it as a join reward/punishment posting.

She could get a lot of work done here.

She went down in a shuttle to the world, to make sure the old was replaced with the new. She had to check the mines anyway, so it wasn’t a completely useless trip, just… boring.
