We Have Done the Impossible, and That Makes Us Mighty...

Laughing, he nodded. It seemed that Jorus was on for a bit of a race and that was good. The Corellians needed something to make this work to get them home. Then the new person came in. The Coronet, he knew he heard that name before. It could be because it was the major city on the homeworld, but… “Twenty? You’re on.” Who knew what the chick could do, but Coren was still betting that Jorus would be his biggest challenge. The man could navigate something fierce.

“Why not, Gyndar? Friendly wager among captains, c’mon.” The pilot tossed a lopsided grin as he looked over to his sister and gave her a wink. Two Starchasers in one vessel? “What about you, Lesan? Starkos? Y’all must have something that can keep up. If anyone wants a ride on the winning vessel, though…” He tossed looks to Jones and Raaf. “Seats are open.”

And yes, Coren, who was at one time a SpecOps member of an Imperial styled government, was listening to everyone. “What’d y'do to your ship, Julius? But yeah, getting to Coronet is smart. I know that my son made it out to our old estate along the Golden Beaches pretty easily, so if we can’t get landing clearance, we can at least sneak in the back door.”

What he was waiting for was a dismissal. He knew the quickest way to the Rising. And there were a few chairs he could fold in front of the door after he was out. Y’know, all friendly like.

Katara listened thoughtfully to those gathered while sipping on the chilled Corellian ale held in her left hand. As the others chatted it up, the Corellisi's free hand played lazily with the long strands of her husband's dark hair. It was an interesting group. Most she didn't know, but they all had something in common. Corellia meant everything to them. The totality of their loss was palpable in the air, and Kat didn't need the Force to sense that either.

[member="Coren Starchaser"] had offered them a ride. Katara usually hated for anyone to pilot a ship she was in other than her, but in a way it made sense to consider the Galactic Alliance commander's offer seriously. The Shadow Runner was fast, but if the group was trying to go under a low profile a fleet of ships wouldn't be the smart thing to do. It would only give cause to the Sith to take notice.

Blue eyes looked to [member="Judah Lesan"]'s to see what the ruggedly handsome Jedi Knight wanted to do. He would most likely already know what his wife was thinking. The Telosian usually thought in accordance… and for the win win of course.

For a moment, Judah wanted to pat Kat on the shoulder and get out of there. With all th bets going if they left early, they'd beat everyone. That would have been the Corellian thing to do, but the Telosian in him had to hear the plan, and see what was going to go down. Kat went Mach 10, Judah made it to about Mach 7 barely. He looked to Coren after giving his wife a knowing nod.

"The Shadow Runner could outrun you anyday, but since I'm cheapskate and don't want the fuel costs, we'll be hitch a ride. You just better be able to put up with the extra rocking your ship will be doing..."

Kat was either going to smile, blush, or die a thousand deaths at what Judah just suggested. He smirked and ran his free hand along her thigh where it had been all night. The two love birds were as close as ever and the two didn't hide it, ever. Judah knew Kat didn't mind the ride this time, but if Starchaser didn't want her taking over he'd have to fly the ship well. Judah's Corellisi didn't take to sloppy piloting. Judah was never allowed to fly because he treated her freighter like it was a starfighter. She didn't like that so much, unless she had her hands on the yoke.

"So it sounds like as soon as everyone is ready then," Judah asked. He was antsy to see his home again.

Boys! If it wasn't the size of their toys, it was how fast they went. She smiled inwardly. She would make her own way there - and could offer a lift if anyone needed. She'd visited Corellia since the incident - her sister was able to give access codes to ensure she could get in and out without risk. Given Taeli was no longer a trusted Sith - and instead a Jedi Master - she figured that was no longer an option.

Part of her wondered if this was an opportunity to reconcile with her little sister. To visit the family graves? She dismissed the thought as sentimental and incredibly stupid.

So she did what she was good at. She listened and learned as routes and ways to enter the planet were discussed and weighed. A plan was formed and she simply took it all in. She'd spent her first ten years as a Jedi in the green robes. If her Master had not been killed, she might never have left. But she did.

"If anyone needs a lift, just let me know. It has enough room - and I keep Corellian finest in the fridge. And ryshcate."

She smiled. It had taken a little while, but the Jedi canteen team had finally perfected a recipe that rivalled the original.

Julius looked about at the bantering lot, and genuinely smiled and chuckled a bit. This was what it was about, to him, in the end. Less about the stories, less about the bravado, and more about family... Though the other parts were just as important, just as vital, to a Corellian in their own way, this unity in this moment was the important part really. It was, to him, what all the Jedi Orders lacked in a big way with their railing against attachment and emotion. It wasn't all bad, really, not in the end. The important part was that you watched the line you were towing and were in control of those emotions, and aware of their scope and such. To deny them in their entirety, rather than practice control and regulations that Julius had favored.. Well really, it was just trading one absolute and extreme for another, and what was the use or good in that?

"Well, sounds like we got ourselves a convoy then, eh? Try not to alert the local authorities... This is just a fact findin and sight seein trip, as it were. We'll be back again for something more serious... Anyone have a suggestion planet side, or just the old Enclave?"
