We Got A Big Ship...Now What?

DRUCKENWELL SHIPYARDS, DRUCKENWELL ORBIT
CONFERENCE ROOM B13A

It had been two hours since the glorious entrance of a literal behemoth: the Teferi-class Star Defender. Compliments of the Galactic Republic in reparations for the events which had transpired at the Auction of Contruum, the vessel had been handed over to the Confederacy of Independent Systems via an executive order by the Interim Supreme Chancellor. Only one hundred twenty minutes had passed since the vessel had surged forth from the depths of Hyperspace, flanked by a detachment of Republic ships that acted as a ferry to return the personnel staffing the Star Defender home. It had taken that span of time in order for the personnel to vacate the ship and return home, and now it was being boarded by Confederate personnel and droids.

Now, a decision had to be made in regards as to what to do with the vessel, in addition to what steps to take in regards to international affairs.

As such, the Grand Marshal of the Confederacy had called a meeting of the Viceroys: the leaders alongside which he led the growing faction. He stood within a conference room, characterized by a single table, numerous chairs, and a massive glasteel window which overlooked the new addition to the family of Confederate vessels. Before the Council laid a few fundmental choices: attempt to strengthen the relationship between the Confederacy and the Republic through the return of the vessel, gift it to the Templar Order for the furthering of the goals of the Sanctuary project, or converting the vessel into a weapon of warfare of the likes the Galaxy had never before seen. It was the latter of these options that the clone leaned towards, but the vote of the Council would ultimately decide the "Shepard's" fate.

And so, seated at the head of the table, Genesis Rostu awaited the arrival of his fellows.

Sophia's days since becoming Viceroy seemed to be filled with nothing but meetings. She at the very least spoke daily to her advisors on Thokosia and Shador as she couldn't be everywhere at once. If she was needed for anything Sophia had no issues flying to one or the other planet. It was just currently the focus was Chroma Zed as it was in shambles after all that occurred. Once rebuilt Sophia could turn her attention to other projects that were still in the development stage for the other planets. It was partly her fault they still were as she wanted to be kept in the loop and she often gave her opinion on the latest update.

Even with all Sophia did she still somehow still made time to speak with the citizens and listen their opinions and ideas or hear their stories. She had made a point to make herself available to them as she wanted them to know that she did have their best interests at heart and she did care what they thought. Sophia knew she couldn't please everyone but she did her best.

As she entered the meeting room Sophia couldn't help but stop for a brief moment to gaze at the lovely ship now in their possession. No matter what position she ascended to the former Captain would always love ships. She had been on this one once before during her time with the Republic Navy. Sophia remembered it being just as impressive on the inside as it was on the outside.

Turning from the window Sophia took her seat at the table. She wasn't surprised that she was one of the first ones here. She was early but than again she always was as Sophia had learned the importance of timeliness long ago at the academy. "Hey," she smiled. The plus of being the first one was time to relax even if it was only for a few minutes. She didn't have time for herself anymore.

Viceroy Arthos was a title that still squeaked around the edges to him. In truth he hadn't been so sure his campaign would succeed to gain him the sear. He hadn't even had time to start the many things he was going to have to do in order to get his plan put into motion before this meeting had been called. Walking into the broad room Arthos merely glanced at the incredible vessel, and shook his head. At this point while huge in size, it was no where near a mighty warship. Most of its space from his understanding was being taken up by room for personnel of all things. It had been a Jedi training ship, and now it would possibly go to the Templars.

Nodding at @[member="Sophia Walsh"] Arthos moved to take his seat. He would need to get to know his fellow Viceroys, and find out which ones were worthy of alliances. He was most interested in seeing @[member="Lee Radimus"] though, the man who had set him on this track. He was still very curious to see what the man was plotting out.

The Eternal Queen
The Archon was getting... well, fat. And by fat, of course, she meant pregnant. But to a woman like her, it meant basically the same thing. She could no longer look at her old wardrobe without wanting to cry. And mirrors? Full body mirrors? She had covered all of them in her apartment, castle and office. She was not even going to look. She would fix her hair, but it no longer mattered which outfit she wore to meetings. They all made her look exactly the same:
giant and uncomfortable.
Todays dress was about as interesting as the others: pale blue, lightly embroidered, empire waist. Because maternity clothing could never be flattering or stylish, it would seem. Not on this planet, anyway.
And she often found herself leaving the apartment with two different shoes on. Today had been no exception. One shoe was a silky purple, the other an off white with light beading. She didn't notice. She couldn't see her own feet. She didn't want to see her own feet. Her ankles were so swollen...

As she shuffled into the room, she pushed a stray black curl from her face. Tired. she looked as exhausted as ever. The baby keeping her up, work stressing her out, and strange abdominal pains making it all even worse.

"Sorry I'm late," she sighed, taking her seat, although it was very clear that she was not actually late. Still, not early was still late in Feena's eyes. She hated to be anything but early.

Arriving promptly, Lee said nothing to the others. Instead, he found his seat that was labeled for the newly minted Viceroy. Coming into power so quickly for him had come as a shock, how often was it that one on a path such as his was rewarded so easily? Viceroy Radimus, as he was now called didn't fully understand it himself. Clad in his MX-00 Templar Armor, he pulled his hood back as he entered the room. Looking around, he merely nodded to every one of his "peers," if they could be called that. He recognized the Zabrak as Arthos, and he gave his fellow Templar a nod. Seems they don't care if those who are gifted with the Force are in power around here, I have found my home.

Pale eyes looked over the other woman, and her weak Force aura that held much potential. Another asset maybe? Lee didn't know, but he did manage a bow to the Archon and a salute to the Grand Marshall before he sat down. "Well, you've called us here. What do you require of us?"

One by one, the Viceroys made their entrances into the Conference room. The first to arrive was Sophia Walsh, a young woman with an exceptional knack for piloting. In recent days, she had ascended to the mantle of Viceroy and had done a phenomenal job as the "Queen of District 2". Upon striding into the room, she was greeted with a warm smile and a polite inclination of the clone's head. Next to arrive was Viceroy Arthos, who had rather promising aspirations to reform his District. Genesis held high hopes for this particular individual, for he was to be heading a region in dire need of reform. Third to enter the room was the Archon, who was coming further an further along with her pregnancy each time the Grand Marshal saw her. Despite her "tardiness", she lit up the room with her presence and the clone was genuinely glad to see that she coul make it.

After all, he'd be dead if not for her.

Last, and certainly not least was Lee Radimus, a man who had earned the clone's respect through his heroism during the battle of Chroma Zed. After all, it is not everyday that one bravely leads a detachment of mechs into battle! As time had moved onward, the man had earned his place as a Viceroy and untold sums of respect on the part of Genesis Rostu. Once the four had arrived and seated themselves, the clone began the meeting.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for coming. The task at hand is deciding what to do with our most recent asset: the Shepard. Before us lies...three options that I can think of, and I'm sure that you can think of more. One. We can simply hand the ship back to the Jedi Order, as I'm sure that'd make their day. Two. We can utilize this vessel in its intended role and donate it to the Templar Order. Three, my personal favorite...We arm this vessel to the teeth and thereby create the strongest vessel in the Confederate Navy."

"So what say you? What do you think of these options? Which path do you think we should take?"

"As much as I would like to play nice with the Jedi Order I'm not sure it's in our best interest to just hand it back over to them. I'm not sure what we would gain by doing that. I'm sure they might promise to leave us alone for a little while but how far does that go?" She paused for a moment glancing around the room before continuing. "I like the option as well of adding it to Confederate Navy. I would love to see a vessel of that magnitude in action. I always did think it was being under utilized at the Republic."

As much as Sophia wanted to be nice at the end of the day she felt it best to arm themselves in case of an attack. Playing wouldn't keep the citizens safe. A strong Navy could and beauty like that would do wonders for the Navy. It would make them stronger than the Republic which was right on her border. It helped that she still knew members of the Republic Navy from her days there but this ship was a better tool to have.

Leaning back Arthos listened to the opinions of Sophia, and nodded slightly a small smile. "I'm in favor of granting it to the Templar's as a moving base. It can also be used at any point in the galaxy as a command and control center over situations. While the size of that ship would enable it hold so many guns it would be an absolute devastating force, I don't believe it could function as one without reconstructing the hulls. There are simply too many places that have gaps throughout the model which would make it suspect able to being easily crippled, and vented."

The Eternal Queen
It was difficult for her to even concentrate on the meeting at this point. Celeste kicked frequently, experimenting, no doubt, with her ever growing limbs. While it was nice to have that constant reminder that the child was growing healthy and strong, it did nothing for Feenas comfort. Most of the time she just wished the baby would just settle down and sleep. She could only imagine how much of a handful she would be once she was born.

The awkward silence that followed after @[member="Arthos Vynea"] told her that it was her turn to speak.

"Oh. Err... I think as Archon my opinion should be fairly obvious. A ship like this would be quite useful to us in the Templar Order."
