Another meeting called for the development, engineering, and technical specialists of Abregado-Rae.
This time, the meeting was set up in meetings rooms on Abregado-Rae
And this time, the objective of the meeting was discussing and planning the defenses of the smuggler planet Abregado-Rae, the planet notorious for its spacer and trading traffics, large portion of them shadow trading and smuggling.

In the meeting room,
HK was sitting by one of the oval tables with a projector in the middle, showing specifications of the planet and the current developed defenses, he was awaiting for others to gather so that their discussion and further plans can begin.

Siobhan Kerrigan, newly promoted Exarch of Eriadu, was the first to arrive at the meeting, dressed in an expensive looking women's business suit, partly because she had concluded that the Exarch uniform was simply too ostentatious for her tastes. Seriously she was expected to walk around bedecked with medals like some tinpot dictator with delusions of grandeur.

Abregado-Rae was notorious for its smugglers, but was also located at the start of the crucial Rimma Trade Route that terminated at Kal'Shebbol, a world the Protectorate might soon be interested in, and ran right through Eriadu. Siobhan's Exarchate was responsible for defending most of the southern territories of the Protectorate.

She gave HK a nod and a warm smile as she strode in, taking a seat at the oval table as she layed eyes upon the holographic projections that showed the state of the planet and currently developed defences. "Seems like we only see each other in meetings these days, HK. Respectability is being forced on us," she snarked, though it was true. Even with her mainly military responsibilities...keeping up with her duties was a a challenge.

So many nights with little sleep, moments where she felt like punching one of the bureaucrats or officers through a wall, though fortunately Anya was there to help when she felt frustrated. Sometimes it felt like the sole purpose of bureaucracy was to impede her in some manner or to inundate her with grandiose projects. "So how's being the droid king going? I hear you have a proposal to upgrade the defences of Abregado."

"Well, we both have duties, it is better to be needed than cast away."
He responded as he motioned to the presentation
"Yes, I have set up a system of Shelters already, they are crisis centers the population can turn to in time of needs, I was thinking about expanding it, building a system of cannon defenses, as well as new military hangars, and perhaps putting a space station in the orbit."
He looked to Sio
"Also, what did you think about a planetary shield generator?"

Noah walked into the room and the first thing he heard was 'system of cannon defense' and his interest was immedeatly caught. "What were you imagining for the cannon system? Cause weapons like that seem right up my alley." Noah informed him, giving a slight bow to Kerrigan, both out of respect for her being a great military tactician and being a newly minted Exarch.

Siobhan listened, then pondered. Given the fact that until recently she had only been in command of rather small formations and had a habit of death charging, she was probably not a great strategist. But she had a practical outlook on things or at least liked to think that of herself.

"It'll be good for shielding the planet from a BDZ - best way to wipe out a fortress world - unless there's overwhelmning firepower. Less good at preventing ground invasions and guarding it ties up troops. A fortress world needs to be bristling with anti-air guns and troops. Keep in mind a fortress can be bypassed by enemy forces or blockaded, then it just turns into a cage," she responded. She was not dismissing the concept, she could see the advantage of a fortress planet so close to Fondor where enemy forces attacking would bite their teeth out, but was pointing out facts. "As for expanding the shelters, agreed, you might also think about a bunker complex for command and control purposes and relocating part of manufacturing underground, prioritising military production."
