This seemed to be starting to become a habit of her mother's. Jairdain would pick a random planet and drop her daughter off on it. Without any knowledge of where she was or what she was supposed to be doing. Letting out a sigh, the sullen teen walked out of the hanger she had been left in and wondered the feth she was.

Stopping in her tracks, she noticed right away, almost everybody appeared to have glowing eyes and fluffy tails. Very much like her mother. Reaching out with the Force, she took a read on all of them. None of them were Sith...except one signature she felt in the distance...yet so close at the same time.

"Where am I?"

Thinking she was silent, a head turned her way and ran in her direction.

"You must be the Valde's niece we have been waiting on. Let me inform him of your arrival. And you're on Veradune."

Talking quietly into a device, whoever it was motioned for Nitya to follow him.

Vulpesen looked down at his comlink as the text traced across the screen. Seems Lucas had managed to make contact with this as of yet unmet member of his family. "Looks like I'm off." Lifting up from his couch, the monarch let out a small whistle to call Ace to his shoulder. Once the shimmering Ashlan Wolf had hopped aboard, he headed down to his stables and mounted up. The ride wouldn't be a long one considering that the Valde's Family was given access to a rather local starport. Still, it was better to not go on foot.

"Your mother told us to expect you. I imagine however, that she didn't tell you what to expect." Lucas surmised, a grey tail flicking back and forth behind him. "You might be able to call this your ancestral home. Unfortunately, your uncle has been run a bit thin on some recent legislations so he sent me to keep an eye out while he managed some rest."

Even though Nitya was quite familiar with how her mother looked, she hardly expected to see so many tails at once. When Lucas approached her and made contact, she stopped to listen to him.

"What does my uncle do? You know I don't even know his name!"

Trying to regain, at least, a little composure, she followed him out of the spaceport and again stopped in her tracks.

"I've never seen so much natural growth since I was on Kashyyk. This is great."

Most of her down in the dumps attitude had faded away as she gazed at the trees nearby.

Lucas stopped in his tracks, both his eye and his tail twitching at the question. "Rerreno's tongue, Jairdain," he muttered. "Your uncle is the Valde of the Alliance and Alphos of Veradune." He turned his eyes to the young lady behind him, his tail still twitching irritably. "To put it simply, he rules the planet." Their exit of the spaceport, did at least give him some calm as he joined her in marveling at Veradune's verdant landscape. Even amid the modernization of rebuilding, Vulpesen had done his utmost to ensure that Veradune's natural beauty had not been tarnished. "The wookiees are admirable in their struggle against nature. But it is that, a struggle. Here on Veradune, we prefer to harmonize with the wilds. You'll find that our shadowlands are far less extensive, and the properly trained are quite able of adapting to their trials."

Reaching into his bag, Rerreno fished a pair of binoculars form his pocket to bring to his eyes. After a quick sweep of the distance, a smile would curl onto his features, displaying the pair of fangs that grew to those zorrens that had passed the trials. "Your uncle by the way, seems to be fast approaching. He should be here in only a couple of minutes." Turning back to Nitya Xeraic, he tilted his head in curiosity. "Did your mother by chance happen to mention anything about you completing your trials while you were here?"

"My mother had said we were nobility. Is that because of my uncle?"

It could also be from her mother's time on Commenor. Nitya knew all about that. Jairdain seemed to be proud of her personal past but rarely allowed her children to know about much outside of that. Oddly enough, she really did not find it lacking in her life. When she had expressed curiosity, the questions had been deflected and the subject changed.

Nodding in a manner that was similar to her mother, the teen liked the almost natural state of Veradune over that of Kashyyyk. She looked at the world with two different visions and smiled a little. Until Lucas spoke again. Focusing on him, she gave his question consideration.

"She's been reluctant to talk about hers."

Probably because it had happened when her life was at one of its lowest points and she didn't want to relive those memories. There was also a secret from then that even Nitya was aware of.

"No, she did not mention going through them. What happens?"

Turning to look at the Zorren, he might notice one eye was a slightly different color than the other.

"Will I get a tail too?"

"Your mother is nobility on her own. However, your uncle's blood, or rather, your Grandfather's, does make you something of royalty," Lucas explained, his hands clasping in front of him as they left the hangar. "Veradune's line of succession doesn't act completely through inherited blood however. Claims for the high seat must be done through an election. I'm sure you'd understand if your cousins have the stronger claim," he finished with a good-natured smile. "As for a tail, no the trials won't give you that. Other things, yes. But not that. The trials will slow your aging. Give you the fangs and claws of our people-"

"And our eyes," came the voice of a new coming rider. The steed was a massive fox with night black fur, laced with dyes of blue and a bearing a rigging with golden gild. The rider himself, clad in a dark coat held the same dark hair as Nitya's mother and his golden eyes held a bit of cheer as they took in the sight of pair. "You must be Nitya. A pleasure to meet ya, kid." He shifted his reigns and gave a light double tap on the flank of his beast with his heel, prompting a set of five tails to swing around and form a sort of staircase. "I assume you don't want to walk the whole way to the palace."

"OH! I see."

She hadn't known Jairdain was nobility outside of being sister to her uncle. Then again it seemed that maybe he wasn't exactly nobility. Listening as some things were explained to her, Nitya just smiled and nodded. That was the normal reaction of a person that didn't entirely understand what was being said. Or one that wanted the conversation to end. A question popped into her mind...

"Then royalty is better than nobility?"

If she was honest, they seemed the same to her. Figuring she was about to get another lecture, it was stalled by the arrival of her uncle. The two of them shared the same dark hair but their eyes were different and because he had already gone through his trial. Something Nitya lacked and it had been hinted that it would happen here.

Shaking her head in answer, she turned to bow in thanks to Lucas before running up the staircase of tails provided by the large mount.

"I am Nitya. You must be my uncle. Nice to finally meet you."
