Warlords Alliance of the Rim (Faction Idea)

Overview
-- In the forgotten corners of the known galaxy, war is waged on an unprecedented scale. Millions die in the conflict while trillions of credits are spent on machines of death, and everything is legal if you’re strong enough. It is here that the strongest survive, and the weak are used. Out here, once a beacon of Civility and Order by many nations, is now thrashed by war, lawlessness, and chaos.

-- The Frontiers once belonged to some of the strongest and most powerful nations, as such war is all anyone knows in this Age of Chaos. As such when the powerhouse of nation falls, all that is left are us, the ones left behind. Forgotten and left to rise to the promise of those that left us behind. We are the citizens and civilians of the Unknown and Fringe Territories. While the greater nations sends millions to their death, we fight among ourselves and kill each other as the galaxy burns and enemies are smashed against larger entities. We mistrust all for those we don’t know as they crumbled in our hands like dry, coarse sand. We have one rule out here in the Outskirts of Civilized Space. Whatever one must do to make follow that one rule is allowed, for the only other option is death.

That one Rule is We must Survive.

-- Governments who preached civility and order crumbled under the weight of the true power in that galaxy, the people of the Frontier only want the freedom to choose their own lives. We belonged as subject of once mighty names such as the First Order, Galactic Alliance, Lords of the Fringe, and the Omega Protectorate, they defined who we were. Works like Evil, Good, Lawful, or Chaotic means nothing to those of us forced to live in the Ruins of Great Names. This galaxy is built on the ruins of greater names and so shall we. It is these names that forge who we were, but it is the present that tempers our blades for the coming storm. Frontiersman only rely on ourselves and momentary allies, for nothing lasts forever.

-- This all changes however, as a gathering of our enemies and momentary allies are summoned by the strongest Warlord in the Frontier.

OOC Overview

-- The Warlords Alliance of the Rim or WAR as I like to call it, is nothing more than a battleground of conflict, death, and illegal chaos. It is a Faction where those that are rejected by other factions can carve out a little piece of the galaxy as their own. We work together to build the faction as a whole, but we encourage conflict between writers (IC of course).

-- WAR is created to give a home to many Sub-Factions that don't have the membership to push for major status. Instead we work together to keep active, create fantastic stories, and provide an environment for growth within the community. We encourage conflict between writers as a way to show improvements with Admins, and Members helping each other out before going on a larger scale. Dark Siders, Light Siders, Imperialist, Republicans, Warlords, Pacifics and everything in between are welcome to join. So long as you pledge the defense of the Pact we accept you.

-- WAR has no political stance, accepts all, and allow Sub-Factioning, so long as you survive. The interesting part about WAR is that we allow if not Encourage the Civil War Mechanic that I implemented. The Warlords Alliance is nothing but a piece of paper that shows each membering Planetary “Government” agrees to pick up arms and protect each other in a Defensive Pact. It does not stop one Warlord from attempting to subjugate others Domain. This requires an Admin or Moderator will overview a Duel between writers and let them duke it out over a planet to expand or shrink their domain. Domains mean everything to a Warlord, as it counts towards voting power in who to invade, expand the Alliance, and regulation of funds. For if you can not hold onto your lands, then your not worthy to lead.

-- There are many things we wish to offer our members, outside members, and just a background for your own writing. The following are things we wish to offer.
- Warlord control over Domain, freedom to make their own laws, justifications, and raise own armies.
- Constant Civil War and Conflict between members
- Open to all who wish to be Warlords, Underlings, or Traders
- Offer opportunities for Smugglers, Criminals, Thugs, and Mercenaries
- Contracts with companies to register your own Fleets as their will not be a Unified Armory or ability to create ships under the Faction Name
- Salvaging lost ships from dead Factions to use for your own use
- Parties, Festivals, or more Interesting Entertainment like Bazaars of all things Illegal

-- Ultimately, WAR is a makeup of a Zerg/Orc Warlike Faction that fights all the time.

IC Hierarchy


  • Warchief of the Pact

    The leader of the Alliance, he calls the other leaders for invasions, alliance acceptance parties, and overall expansion of the Pact.

Council

  • Guardian members of strong domains that overseen the Alliance, making sure that the Pact is upheld no matter what.

Seated Officials

  • Planetary “Governors” who control Domains and allowed to vote on actions for the Pact as a whole.

Corporate Lobbyist

  • Merchants are allowed within the warring states domains and given free access to roam. Criminal, Legitimate, or in between are all given this rank, as WAR does not differentiate, only Seated Officials can control the trade of their Domain.

Underlings

  • You joined to survive, a soldier, servant or factory worker, they do the bidding of their Seated Official so long as it means they get to live another day. For Frontiersmen don't measure their lives by years, but by days.

Slaves (in Domain that allow it)

  • Unfortunate souls that found their way to serving a Seated Official by force and is unable to leave their service.


-- Standard civilians within the Pact Worlds are not governed by the larger council at hand, no Seated Official can enforce a rule on another. That is what makes the Pact strong, if you want something changed, you have to fight for it. Nothing is forced on the strong, only the weak.

-- There is one Rule within the Warlords Alliance, and that is to survive for the only option is death. Yet there is one Law that binds all of WAR, the strong decide. This means that if a vote should ever be put to the Seated Officials (WAR’s United Government) then each seat’s vote is decided by the size of their domain compared to the rest of the Alliance. Giving those sub-factions a reason to fight one another. This dictates who we let into the Alliance, what planets we invade, and best of all…. Who We Go To War With.

-- Only those that are active can keep their lands, and the shifting domain can be split up by the Council if it threatens the Pact. The Council control the strongest Domain.

-- The station of Warchief of the Pact is given to anyone who wins a conflict of single combat against the leader. The Warchief is the Supreme Commander of a United WAR Armada, used to invade lands that are no controlled or invited by members of the WAR Council.

I was also thinking of just making a Registry of Warlords, Small Factions, and Planetary Government.


Just give larger factions enemies in Dominions, Skirmishes, and other stuff just to give new writers and rouges a community to write with.
