DESCRIPTION
This amulet was given to Mariya by her elder half sister, Jamie, as a means of keeping the younger girl safe. Mariya is an explorer, curious by nature, and constantly finding herself in rather dangerous situations where Jamie is not always able to be by her side, or to come to her aide. This prompted the elder girl to construct a small amulet designed to protect Mariya in the event of dire circumstances. While borrowing energy from the Force, she was able to design a subtle necklace that her sister wears which contains the amulet within. Once activated, it glows a vibrant green, and envelopes a small area with a powerful energy shield that is capable of stopping lightsabers, explosives, and blasters. Jamie has warned Mariya that repeated assaults against the shield will quickly diminish its ability to protect her, and while the shield is adept at protecting against the most common blasters, slugs, and bladed weapons, it will only go so far when dealing with cannons, lightsabers, or bombs.
