Intent: To fill this board’s major gap in combat airspeeders
Development Thread: No
Manufacturer: Silk Holdings
Model: Warden Combat Cloud Car
Affiliation: Available to planetary defense forces and other government agencies
Modularity: No
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Durasteel, duraplast, glasteel
Description: The Warden is a low-cost, high-punch starfighter -- that is, a starfighter without spaceflight or hyperdrive capacity: A combat cloud car. Designed to provide planetary defense forces with an answer to invaders’ starfighter swarms, the average combat cloud car is faster and more maneuverable than most of them, but only in atmosphere. Its warhead capacity is low, focused on anti-starfighter concussion missiles. Starfighter commanders can evade the Warden by pulling up out of atmosphere.

The Warden cannot rise to orbital distance, but if deployed from orbit for whatever reason, it can descend safely and enter atmosphere without complication.

The Warden is primarily for service in planetary defense forces. Like all full-power combat cloud cars, however, it is also found in civilian customs enforcement and traffic control roles. Agencies which use the Warden must provide military-grade refuelling and repair facilities.

Role: Aerial combat, mainly anti-starfighter

So this is basically a fighter jet in modern terms, but with lasers?

I think this one is just absurd to list as publically available. This would be military only.

Overall I don’t see many problems with this. Just make a note that it is available only to military forces and requires special bases for repairs/refuelling, and I will approve this.
