War is a Dying Art

He gently stroked her hair, laying a hand across her chest. He glared at Tracyn as he walked away, before taking a small sedative from his medic-pouch on the front of his armor. He held it in front of her, but it wasn't enough to put her out, exactly."Just enough to relax you." He said, gently injecting the needle into her thigh, and discarded it with a toss. Next, he cleaned up as much as he could, the blood, bruises, and cuts she had acquired. He didn't want to think of the internal injuries she was suffering.

"Steph...it's time you go to rehab, or get clean. I can't watch you do this to yourself anymore."He said sadly. His eyes wandered over to the pistol at his side, debating on whether or not to put her out of her misery here and now.

Oh bloody hell. Did somebody say Old Yeller?

It certainly felt like the moment before a mercy kill, cradling her head, slipping in the sedative so at least she's a touch more comfortable. If she were trope savvy this was definitely cause for alarm, but fortunately she was not, the woman had no idea the importance of her answer to this man. We're all rooting for you, babe. Don't garble loud noises at him in capital letters.

“It hurts, Doc.”

NOT EXPECTING THAT, WERE YOU? Over her time in Havoc Squad Doc had constantly harped on at her about spice. Other members avoided her, even loathed her because of spice. Maybe it was starting to sink in. Maybe. Maybe it was simply the sedative.

“'Fan ahm nae on 'eh spice, it hurts, feels like ahm gan'tae die, ken?”

He was glad he had the mask on his face. Despite the teeth on the bottom part of his helmet, he was soft, but in a good way. Empathetic, but not to a fault. He laid his hand over hers, and he took in a deep breath. Not a mercy kill today, but what came next, genuinely shocked him. Her normal voice. He had heard it sometimes, in whispers and in passing. But then again, it could have also been the sedative. He stared at her for a while, the polarized lens on his helmet clicking off.

"I know it hurts. And you feel like you're going to die because you're so karked up, Steph. And you need to un-kark yourself, before you kill yourself."That was the grim reality of addiction, it either ended with an intervention, or it ended in death. A grim, awful reality, but Doc needed to say it.

He had a point.

Wait, of course he had a point, I'm not going to sympathise with any reasoning that Steph bloody Zenima produced. Spice is good and here is why? As if. While it remained true that narcotics often allowed the girl to forego the human barriers of pain, it all caught up eventually, it ate away at her, insides and out.

Once upon a time she could have been an ordinary, attractive if not slightly stupid woman there, but that was long gone, given away without a second thought, but something could still be salvaged.

There was still hope.

“What if I can't? she asked, a sense of trepidation in her voice. This was probably the most human that anybody had heard her sound. The peculiar accent remained but those were honest-to-force words that had escaped those lips raising a point that could have been the difference between life or death.

It was always good to have a bounty hunter on hand, wether anyone liked it or not. Adenn Gra'tua was helping out the Sith forces against the republic, and only to help them, there were to many of the republic troops to fight them all off. But he could try brutality to turn some of them away, but the scream he heard told him otherwise. Shame, what battles had came to, mostly because everyone let the most insane people into their army's, but Adenn would at least attempt to take some of them out. By hunting them down, one by one "time to go to work" he said before dropping off a ledge.

"You know how I hate the C-word.."Doc said, smiling. His facial expression changed, and he slowly reached up and took off his helmet, laying it down beside him. He sighed, sitting down near him, and folded his hands over his knees. He was sometimes, a lethal commando, but others, more like a caring pediatrician treating a scraped knee. He glanced over to Steph, running a hand over the stubble on his face that had formed over the past few days.

"I don't want to lose you Steph, we've already lost a lot."He said, rocking back and forth a bit, nearly to the point of a breakdown himself. Truth is, the Doc needed a Doc himself. A hug, too, wouldn't hurt. And some crying.

"Drop the package and let's go." Martin held his rifle firmly as he walked forward into the sith's base. It was mostly ruined, buildings destroyed, bodies laid scattered across the ground. They had to destroy this place, it wasn't about controlling this place. It was about sending a message to not only the sith, but to the republic as well. Moving through the courtyard of the base most of the fighting was done here. "Make sure the package is secure." Martin said looking back at daisy before moving onward. This place was going to serve as a monument to all of the sith's sins a testament to what happens when you made enemies with everyone.

Snapping his rifle up Martin stepped down the halls as they entered the building, there were still men in the building along with the commanding general of the planet. They had to make their way down into the reactor room. The place where they got their power, it would serve well for the plans they had to come. Coming upon a door Martin stacked up next to it before speaking. "Breaching." kicking the door down to the stairs Martin entered and began to walk down them until they made their way to the reactors. "Set it up here and lets ghost the place." he said with a grim tone in his voice.

Following Martin the whole time daisy kept the heavy briefcase by her side. Holding a pistol in one hand and the case strapped to her body in the other she made her way through the dark tomb of this base. Shooting and finishing off all who tried to crawl away daisy was truly heartless. Some were females just out of training, but she saw them no different from any other military personnel. It wouldn't save them from her snapping their necks as they tried to escape her. "Package secure." daisy said as Martin broke down the door to the stairs. This place would be the first, the first to test the new weapon. The other republic forces in the area could either run or become one with their gods. It honestly didn't matter to her, but there was one that she had to pull out herself.

Moving down the stairs they made their way into the reactor room to plant the device. "Cover me." placing down the case around her body daisy opened it to reveal its contents. It was a bomb, but not just any bomb. It was a nuke, they were going to nuke the base and blow it sky high in atomic fire. Arming the device daisy pushed a few buttons and set a timer. Fifteen minutes, and if that didn't work she had a deadmans switch in one of her pockets. "Armed, let's go." Standing up daisy walked over to the door they came in at and prepared to leave.

Lan now stood in the center of what some would consider a graveyard. There was corpses strewn all about him pools of blood connected beneath them, and trails of entrails and other organs lay on the floor. There was a scowl on the Otter's face, and blood on his claws. In his left hand he still held his blaster rifle, the right paw had claws fully extended, dripping red blood onto the floor.

He was vaguely aware of the Imperial presence here, though he didn't really care for it.

The Imperials as far as he knew were allies of some sort to the Republic, and he had nearly completely his butchers work within the base. Hundreds were already dead, and hundreds more Sith would soon follow. Whether it was by Lan's hand, or the Imperiums, they would die no matter what. The Selonian's eyes looked tired, almost sickly.

Blood draped his fur and knotted in in places. Slowly he reached up to his collar. “Havoc Squad. Pull out.”

It was a simple final order. The Base would be done with soon.

TOO MANY EMOTIONS. DOES NOT COMPUTE.

The hug was most likely not coming, this was definitely a moment of vulnerability to be captured and framed upon the wall, to be looked back upon and reminisced about fondly. However hugs? She hadn't become an entire different being in a matter of moments, and the only embraces that involved this woman tended to have teeth in them.

She looked at Doc, bafflement spreading across her face. “Eh? C-word? Ye mean cun-”

“Havoc Squad. Pull out.”

Saved by the comm. Zenima had completely forgotten the word that she was about to utter and perhaps it was for the best. The woman brightened up slightly, “Ye winnae lose me, Doc. Ahm tougher than ah look, ken?” she smirked before gingerly getting back to her feet.

“But if we're gonnae get me clean ahm gonnae need yer help.”

Brenna listened in to her helmets comlink. "Roger sir." She relayed. "Do we have coordinates for pick-up?" She exited the house she was in and began moving down the road away from the base. She checked inside each and every one of the homes she passed. Dead bodies were all she found for the most part. One of the huts had people inside. Her people, she identified. It was the rest of Havoc. She stood in the doorway. "Everything ok?" She asked concerned.

"You'll have all the help you could ever want or need, Steph. You know that. Also, I may not be a speech therapist, but I know accents that are a little too strong, if you know what I mean."Doc got up to his feet, holding the helmet in his hands softly, before placing it over his head. He stared at Steph, before placing her arm over his shoulders. No, he wasn't going to let her walk alone with a sedative, by god, he was a doctor not a monster.

He nodded at Brenna, shuffling his feet as he moved outwards, not caring to reply to the Comm. It was a simple task, just speaking into his helmet, but he found it rather menial and not really necessary to suck on the Captain's furry brown coc- right. C words. He smiled, as he began to actually have, for once, hope instead of disappointment and pity for Steph. Things may be looking up for his crazy friend.

Or she might relapse or stab him with a filed down toothbrush.

Pulling out of the compound daisy had other plans in mind besides evacuating, she owed a girl a chance to defend herself. Even if she was a vile horrible woman who deserved to die, she still deserved the right to save her own skin in battle against peopleike her. "Martin, stay with me." Daisy said in a cold voice as she moved up the stairs and out of the base. It had taken them about five minutes leaving ten until the bomb blew up everything in a hundred and fifty meter radius. Not to mention the accelerate from the reactors, this would be a big explosion with a rather large amount of fallout.

Moving through the evacuating republic troops daisy made her way to steph Zenima and what looked to be a field medic. The medic was a brave man, he didn't have to die if he chose to make a move. Saying nothing the seven foot three hundred pound woman grabbed steph and threw her over her shoulder like a ragdoll. She was going to take her away to make her all better, something havoc had failed in with her. Glaring at doc coldly behind her helmet she turned and began to walk away towards their transport. @[member="Steph Zenima"] @[member="Doc"]

Martin remained with Daisy moving quickly, he didn't know what daisy had in mind. But knowing how much of a sociopath she was it wouldn't be good. Holding his rifle up he moved through the tight spaces of the building checking corners and firing at anyone they came across. Once they exited the main courtyard Martin and daisy left the base and moved with haste through fleeing troops, they must of got the memo that this place was going to blow in a rapture of atomic fire. "The hell are you doing Daisy?" he asked her as they made their way through the crowds.

Though what happened next was something Martin didn't like at all. Daisy up and took a member of havoc squad, he knew the two had a past but from what he remembered it ended very badly between them. What was worse she just took her then turned her back on the medic, Martin wasn't one for killing good men. But if he tried something he would have to do something to stop him. Reaching down he grabbed his scatter gun and cocked it chambering a new round. Aiming it up at Doc's head he walked backwards slowly to show they meant business. No one had to get hurt, just in and out and they would take steph back eventually. "No quick moves Romeo." he said to the medic still walking backwards

Blessed are the peacemakers
Tracyn didn't leave the area. Tracyn just walked away. So when he saw the scattergun being pointed at a member of the Republic armed forces, he definitely acted. And he acted quite brutally, to be honest. Building the force into his hands, Tracyn gave off a mighty roar, sending a very destructive force burst at Martin. The giant would have no chance against it, essentially. The burst was powerfully enough to shatter rock and duracrete, and even put a large dent in durasteel. And the only real way to defend against it was to deflect it with force-based maneuvers. Which, he knew that this guy didn't pack any, so he had a pretty good chance.

"Put our psycho chick down, or you're next."He said to Daisy, activating his lightsaber after most likely incapacitating her friend. Czar or not, they would have to deal with a Jedi now. A very, very, effective Jedi, at that. Not a smart move, too, when her entire squad was around her.

Oh.

Hell.

No.

Doc saw the chance as Tracyn blasted one of the czars, and he removed his durasteel trench knife and ran up behind Daisy. Daisy had a lot going on for her, being seven foot tall and armored and all that, but, she failed to have one important aspect: the giant queen wasn't wearing a helmet in a warzone. Which, probably wasn't a good idea on her part. And that she had to be using at least one hand to hold Steph, and one hand alone couldn't be enough to stop him, not at this angle and not at this speed. So, Doc went for the nice vulnerable, squishy parts of her neck, directly in the jugular. If she wanted to mess with Havoc, then by the force let her.

"HAVOC! ON ME!"

Brenna shoved a fresh plasma mag into her rifle and steadied her scope on @[member="Martin CZ Mk 2 007"]. "I suggest you put the gun down." She said through gritted teeth. Then all hell broke loose. A Jedi showed up, man she was glad they were on her side, and blasted one of the soldiers away with the force. Then @[member="Doc"] ran in knife in hand to stab the one carrying @[member="Steph Zenima"]. She on the other hand rolled behind a pile of rubble and began firing at Martin. It wasn't enough to kill him, but she wanted to keep him thoroughly pinned down and away from Doc.

((This was all pre planned ahead of time with Steph so yes, sorry I forgot to run it last you guys.))

Sensory packages and reaction chip sets, enhanced speed and strength. Daisy knew of the young medic's attack and even heard him pull the knife from the sheath. And in fact she was wearing a helmet, she always wore a helmet. The writer however couldn't find a good picture of a helmeted woman in armor due to most likely sexism. Spinning around daisy caught the man's hand and looked down at him glaring a very cold stare behind the visor of her helmet. "You will not have her, you have failed her. Now run back to your hole." daisy said in a cold emotionless tone. She wasnt going to play games with them, she owed steph this and she wouldn't let a bunch of rank amateurs and a Jedi who walked the dark side stop her.

With her other hand she grabbed the deadman switch and pressed it. In the bottom of the base the nuke went off and exploded tremendously. Atomic fire, pure and holy erupted as a mushroom cloud formed a few hundred yards away from them. It was time to leave and now before they all died of radiation poisoning. Daisy let go of the man's had and walked away from then into the nearby transport. @[member="Steph Zenima"] @[member="Doc"] @[member="Tracyn Ordo"]

Martin was going to kill daisy when this was over. A loud roar came from the hulled out disgrace of a Jedi along with what was a giant undodgeable unblockable wall of magic blood energy coming at him. Duraarmor was strong not to mention his reenforced bones and muscle but even with those, this was going to suck. The force hit martin like a wall and pushed him backwards a few feet. He laid there on the ground armor torn and scrapped. "I hate you all so much." he said standing up again. Throwing his trashed scatter gun to the ground he sighed and dusted himself off. Though he didn't have much time to recover since the woman was firing at him. Geez the republic were stupid war like idiots who fire at you before even asking a question.

The rounds absorbed into Martina's failing armor like it was designed to do and powered it up from failing and shutting down on him. "Thanks babe! Gotta jet!" The nuke had gone off and Martin was not a fan of cancer so quickly he ran past Daisy not returning fire to savage republic who had shot first. Getting to the shuttle he sighed an hoped the others would hurry and get to their vehicles instead of chase after them for something that was meant to develop a plot.
