COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE: The first thing most note about Vulihr when they first meet him is his decorative blindfold. While most are crafted from a plastic alloy common on Alpheridies, these blindfolds vary in make, design, size and extravagance for each of the Miralukan clans. Where some are beautifully decorated and adorned with jewels, a sign of great force affinity, others are simple and sometimes handed down from generation to generation. These adornments tell a lot about a Miralukan's clan, their beliefs and their background. Clan Vorenuss, a modest family of Jedi sympathizers, often used cloth to cover their vestigial eye sockets, a symbol of piety and studiousness. Vulihr's is no different. If asked, he couldn't tell you what material the cloth came from. Perhaps it was from a bag of grain, or perhaps it was of his Father's old robes. They were, after all, a very frugal bunch. But he doesn't put too much emphasis on it, not deeming it important outside of his home planets rather loose class system. A young man of above average intelligence, Vulihr often spent his time studying or adapting to using his Force Sight, and as such is not the most muscular figure to ever grace the Jedi Order. It suits his purpose, as he finds the Guardian and Sentinel subpaths to be redundant and not representative of what the Jedi should aspire to. His hair, the color of his parents, exhibits that of a gracefully aging sage, graying as if he were far older than he is. It's a clan trait, something his father picked up from his parents and transferred to him. He wears it long, below the shoulder, where it breaks into gentle waves. He sometimes wears them over his ears, and sometimes ties it back into a ponytail. He also wears his father's old Jedi robes, the tan and brown cloth exhibiting an obvious physical age from overuse.

PERSONALITY AND SOCIAL COMPORTMENT: While his actions lie within the spectrum of Lawful and Neutral Good, Vulihir remains a staunch believer in the Greater Force, rather than the traditional Living Force theory adopted by most Jedi. If asked, he will likely explain that its a bi-product of his upbringing. Unlike most beings, his connection to the Force was immediate, something he relies on for the most basics of senses—his vision. He believes the Force to be an entity that envelops all beings, but one that knows no morality. It simply is. Due to its unpopularity among the Order, he typically keeps it to himself unless asked. Vulihr often finds it difficult to connect with his fellow Initiates, something he designates as a byproduct of his lack of eyes. Until his departure from Alpheridies at age ten, he assumed that his state of being was natural for all in the galaxy. It made sense, if the Force is ultimate power in the universe for all to be immediately connected to it at birth. However, upon grouping up with other Jedi across the galaxy from tips given by the Luka Sene, he noticed that these beings had a full range of facial emotion that he couldn't match. To compensate, he often uses his hands in eloquent gestures when telling jokes or conversing with other initiates. He also expresses a lot of emotion through his eyebrows and mouth. As a young man who spent most of his life in the depths of Alpheridies' wilderness with his family hoping to avoid agents of the Empire taking him against his will, he remains somewhat withdrawn and distant. He would call this an advantage, as he's given more time to study and hone his knowledge of the Force, but it also leads him to speak in a very blunt, factual matter. He sometimes allows his intelligence to get the better of him, offering what little wisdom and advice he can to his fellow Initiates and not saying much else in return until the time is right. As a friend, however, he's very protective and loving. He considers himself a follower of the true Jedi way, a young man on a journey for inner peace and tranquility. He is a friend to all, technically, but tries to limit the number of personal ties he creates, given the nature of his learning.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES: The Miraluka have a naturally high force affinity, given that all Miralukan's rely on Force Sight in order to perceive their world. Vulihr shares this affinity; something passed on by his father Usahr, a former member of the Jedi Order, and his mother Sovook, an educator with the Luka Sene. While he lacks much formal Jedi training in order to learn or advance his knowledge, he has nearly mastered Force Sight, an ability he's lived with his entire life. He was also taught to value knowledge and the lives of all, something that could be perceived as both a strength and a detriment. While he's lived as a young Jedi scholar, reading what little texts about their philosophy he could find, he can also be too trusting of a being's power to change to the light. His people worship both Ashla and Bogan, and study a theory known as The Greater Force, something that goes to supplement this potential weakness. While most force sensitives see a strict black and white separation among the Force, signified by the Jedi and the Sith, Vulihr sees the Force as a power that knows no affiliation, a universe in which its inhabitants are completely to blame for how they use or misuse its capabilities. While he carries with him the inherent belief that any sentient can be drawn to the path of moral good, he also finds himself being distinctly harsh on those who use the Force to gain power or hurt innocents, a belief passed down to him by his parents.

"It's called the Greater Force," she told him, nestled beneath the blankets in their small hut. Sovook was never the best storyteller, a duty she often resigned to her elderly husband, but he'd been gone for several hours now. He complained about hearing something, a distant wail, an ache in the pit of his stomach. The death of hundreds. She could feel it too. The youngling needed to sleep, and selfish Vulihr wouldn't rest without his stories. A boy no older than three, his constant requests for stories of the old days were at first endearing, but now made the old couple tired. Sovook, however, had a soft spot for the boy and his curiosity. Sat beside his bed, calloused hands pushed away tufts of light grey hair from beneath her son's blindfold. "This Force knows no bias, knows no allegiance. It is an entity that binds all, and holds our universe together. This power changes with every person who wields it. Some use it for peace, and others use it for power." The boy smiled, pulling his blankets higher on his body. He wouldn't know for several years what those distant noises truly were. He wouldn't know who those strange men were, what the Luka Sene was, or why they'd spent so long keeping him in their small village. All he cared about now was his mothers' soft voice, a voice that occasionally cracked like sandpaper due to her advanced age. She told him the very basics, how the Force allowed him to see things in brilliant color. Even now, watching her speak, he could see the aura floating off her skin. She seemed at peace, despite the frequent breaks she took to lay down herself, rubbing her stomach. "Mommy, what are you doing?" The little boy turned in his bed, curious. She wouldn't call it what it truly is, a Wound in the Force, until much later either. For the moment, she opted for a joke; something about his fathers cooking. Vulihr laughed, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.

The boy, even at age eight, could never find much interest in the way of the lightsaber. Perhaps it was Usahr's fault. The man was no more nimble than he was when he was officially a member of the Order, and was likely the least qualified man available to teach his son the ways of Shii-Cho. But even as Vulihr parry'd his Father's strikes, he grew disinterested. Children are like that sometimes. What doesn't hold their attention gets pushed aside. He takes after his parents, makers of peace rather than servants of war. While his mother taught other Miralukan children about the Force in the meditation grounds not far from their village, his father took a far different approach. A Consular. A mystic, an analytical thinker. Vulhir shared those traits, a boy enamored by the ways of the Force. Its secrets, the knowledge that lay beyond the surface. It wouldn’t be long before he would leave the family in search of a true Master. But for now, his Father could relish the time they had left, flipping through old tomes of knowledge that he knew his son would appreciate (Sovook, though a practitioner of these ancient techniques herself, often scoffed at her husband for his flippant dedication). Their life until that point had been calm and peaceful, as it was for many of their kind. Alpheridies, after all, was home to one large family. This was the cultural tradition of the Miraluka who, despite their distance from most civilizations in the Inner Rim, found solidarity and togetherness in each other.

An eleventh birthday gift. Miralukans weren't fond of celebrating the day of ones birth, like other human species were, but with two of the premier educators of the Luka Sene watching over the family's celebration, it seemed like the right time. On the bed lay tattered robes, reflective of the young man's blindfold, ragged cloth that had seen every environment, swampland to arctic, and beyond. Along with it came a pair of boots, brown leather, about the same condition. The excited parents urged their son to move apart the fabric and he did, holding it close to his skin. It smelled like home. The thought made him smile. With a little more jostling, a heavy, cylindrical object fell from its place within the bundle onto the ground. Vulihr reached for it as his father watched, examining every dial and switch. "It's not a real blade," Sovook said, as her son's thumb pressed down upon the igniter, allowing the vibrant green blade to hum around them with each swipe. "It can only deal bruises and welts. You'll make one of your own, with your Master." The word made his ears perk up. The time had come.

Cool. Though I don't think you need to put Force Sight on your list of known abilities. :p Its a natural ability of All Miraluka. I played one a few years back, it was a lot of fun. :D Though I did get hassled about knowing people who were disguised... Those people were not too bright.

WELCOME!!!

Thank you! I know, but it's still a 'Force power' and thus I still think it should be listed on there anyway just in case.
