SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sarrassian Iron - The Sarrassian Iron used in the blade resonates strongly with the dark side of the force, enhancing the potency of dark side abilities used by the wielder.
  • Sith Blade - Being able to clash with lightsabers, being preternaturally tough, being extremely sharp, and being able to deflect a laser if the user is skilled enough to use the ungainly weapon in such a way.
  • Reality Ripper - Each slash with the weapon rips small, short-lived holes in reality, letting pure, corrupt darkside power from the Netherworld flow through into reality. The effects of the energy on an opponent start small weakness, nausea, and even vomiting. But as the exposure to the weapon lengthens further, worse symptoms emerge, burns on the skin, wounds don't heal on thier own and infections. Organ failure and spontaneous malignant growths can follow in the most extreme cases.
  • Out of the Way - The claws fold back to sit parallel to the wearer's arms when not in use to keep hands clear or to use defencively.
STRENGTHS
  • Alchemized Blades - The blades of the claws are enhanced by Sith Alchemy, giving them the usual benefits of such, as well as strengthening the cutting ability, letting them handle armour better than a traditional blade would.
  • Dark Side Resonance - The weapon resonates heavily in the dark side, enhancing the powers of a Sith or other darksider using the weapon.
  • Power from beyond - The small holes in reality that the weapons make let the power of Chaos flow into the target or reality if slashing the air. This can cause a range of nasty effects, weakening the body, and wounds caused by the weapons don't heal as quickly or easily.
  • Empowered from Within - When actually within the Netherworld, the claws draw the latent energies of it into themselves, enhancing the potency of Netherworld energies it normally draws into realspace.
WEAKNESSES
  • Force Null/Suppression - When entering an area where the force is suppressed or otherwise blocked, the weapon loses all force enhancements and its ability to enhance the dark side, though the lightsaber resistance of the blades are retained as it comes from changes made to the material at a base level when alchemy was used in it's creation.
  • Bathed in Darkness - Because the Dark Side resonates so strongly with the weapon, it is anathema to lightsiders who will feel sick and weakened at best, or be in violent agonizing pain at worst. The effect is stronger on those who are stronger with the light side.
  • Paired Weapons - The Void Talons come in a pair and must be used in a pair, one will must tame both claws. Attempting to separate the weapons and letting two people each use one causes not only the alchemical enhancements to weaken, but also causes feedback in the force and is very harmful and painful to those trying to tame the talons separately.
  • Force Dead Beings - A force dead being is completely immune to the extra effects of the weapon, the claw is merely a collection of alchemized blades to them.
DESCRIPTION

A set of blades crafted by Darth Morta in her experimentation, originally believed to be a failure, as she had intended to be able to banish foes to the Chaos portion of the Netherworld. Though in testing, she found that the small rips in reality were still useful, the force energies that flowed out were harmful to those wounded by the weapon, even just repeatedly slashing the air can poison an area with these energies for a short time, making it hazardous to all those who linger. Symptoms start very manageable, with simple weakness and nausea that may progress to vomiting. Continued strikes can lead to wounds that won't heal without bacta and other medical aid, infections, burns on the skin, but prolonged combat with significant numbers of strikes can lead to extreme issues such as malignant growths, organ failure, sepsis, cardiovascular colapce, and even death if not treated by a mix of mundane and force healing techniques.

Originally, the claws were meant to be a set of daggers, but to maximize the effects, she thought to mount all the blades together into a pair of claws. A side effect of alchemizing the blades like this is that the two weapons do not like to be separated, and if two different people try to wield one of the two claws each there's a resonance set up in the force that harms both users, so the claws must be used together or not at all. Since they have to be used together, Morta set the mounts in the gloves that contain the claws so that the claws can flip back parallel to the wielder's arms, freeing the hands up for other equipment without having to take them off entirely.

What happens to the effects if one were to actively already be in the Netherworld? Would it increase the efficiency of the effects? Or would it do nothing extra?
That's a good point and something I never considered might come up

Added the following Strength:
