CHAPTER 2: BUILDING IT UP
EYES:
"They light up like the morning sky."
Once upon a time thin contacts were placed gently over irises, changing the color, shifting it to a dark brown. Sometimes you have to hide from what you are in order to stay safe. Despite being held close constantly by her mother, Vienne had to take extra measures, lest her heart be metaphorically or literally torn from her chest. Underneath the false layers of cosmetic applications were two shining orbs. Light filtered through, it reflected off, leaving a lovely blue that almost no one ever saw. Just like the Naboo sky on the clearest of days. But there were always clouds slipping through the cracks. They came forth and darkened, and all anyone ever saw was the muddy brown, with the rare glimpse of sun-brought gold. Blue was never seen.
SKIN:
"Soft, smooth, and fair, just like my mother's."
Once upon a time a harsh Fire's Gold meshed with a tan Epic's White, trying to fuse in a way perhaps previously unseen. But rough flesh could not bind with the smoothness of a soft woman's without coming out horrid or mangled or unseemly. Some say that Vienne was rather lucky then, that her flesh merely turned out a little tough, a little dark around the edges. They tell her to be glad that her skin isn't as war-torn as her father's. Perhaps, then, they've never considered what the unnatural mix did to her insides? Of course they hadn't. The few that knew of her heritage spent to much time marveling at the tone of her body, wondering how two opposites could collide in such a glorious way. How could they know the horrors of what lie within?
BODY STRUCTURE:
"A little rough around the edges."
Once upon a time you couldn't tell much from the body of an eight year old. Science had not yet determined what the small- and large- details meant. Nowadays they could look upon the young Firrerthix and perhaps tell a lot about her. Seeing her tall frame combined with her still child-like features would make it clear she wasn't human. At least not fully. No child of pure human blood would be that size at eight, nor would they have half-done second pair of eyelids. Likely they would see the way she was built well- strongly- even for a youngster. The few that knew both of her parents would say she took more after her mother than her father. Less stocky, more curved, with a surprising amount of gracefulness for someone of her build.
HAIR:
"For some reason I'm supposed to keep it short..."
Once upon a time raven strands were allowed to reach far past broad shoulders. Each strand seemed devoid of any color, completely black, lacking any vibrancy. A tyrant's remnant. But signs of heritage sometimes do more harm than help, and the long locks were chopped off. What remained was forced to change through artificial means. Hair dye shifted the color to a reddish brown, far lighter than it had been before, with a few messy streaks of orange. Every since the first cut was made it has never been allowed to grow past her chin. Why?... Perhaps Vivienne's mother feared that anyone seeing her would see a female version of her father. The risk, in her mind, was far to great to chance. To many would kill her on the spot for it.
MODIFICATIONS/UNIQUE FEATURES:
"What do you mean by that?"
Once upon a time it was common practice to pierce a lass' ears when she was just a babe, to spare the pain and trouble of doing so later, when the flesh was more developed. Such things are rarely practiced in bulk these days. Sometimes you'll still find a group- or family- that found the tradition to be worth upholding. Those known as the Neveras were one such house. Each childe was given three piercings on each ear- one lobe, two cartilage. These, alongside the hair dye and colored contacts, are the only 'modifications' one would consider Vivienne having. Which leaves us with the matter of special/unique features. Only one thing could potentially fit here: The Firrerthix has a single, dark mole beneath her right eye, at the top of her cheek.
CLOTHING:
"I'm perfectly capable of dressing myself!"
Once upon a time mothers were readily available to dress their children, amongst other duties. Time passed and fathers stepped up as well. But as centuries went by, more youngsters found themselves without either to look to for assistance. There were years where Vivienne had a loving parent to pick out her clothes each morning. Those days, however, were before carbonite or Chaos came into question. Since emerging from hell- quite literally- the newly-made Jedi Youngling has worn nothing but her simple brown robes, paired with a dark pair of boots. After all, what little else she owned in the ways of clothing were ragged or worthless. And her mother had always told her that if she must present herself at all... she had to present herself well.
PERSONALITY:
"How am I supposed to know?"
Once upon a time kids were expected to be loud, energetic, and-... they still are. They are supposed to still have a certain joy to their eyes, a pep in their step, a naivety to their thoughts. Once in awhile you'll get a shy one, one a little more reserved, but there is almost always a way to draw them out, even if only for awhile. Trauma, however, can do wondrously horrible things to people. Most days it is hard to tell whether Vivienne has had a hard twenty years or if she's simply a quiet, reserved child. Maybe it's a mixture of both. Whatever keeps her speaking softly does it well. The youngster talks almost only in response to others, keeps her intentions to herself, and furrows her eyebrows more than she smiles. There's only one sure-fire way to get her fired up: Music.

CHAPTER 3: FILLING IN THE GAPS
BIOGRAPHY:
PRE-ARC 1: A MOTHER, A DAUGHTER, ONCE A FATHER
Kaine Zambrano. Darth Vornskr. Former Emperor of the Sith. His name is known all over the known universe. To hear it uttered brings forth all sorts of emotions. What kind depends on he who hears it: Anger, hatred, misery, fear, pride, affection, dread, respect. For there are few as despicable as he.... but there are few who have proven to also be as powerful. Sith adore (and envy) him. Jedi consider him a plague upon the galaxy. Citizens wonder if their home planet will be the next torn asunder by his armies. This wasn't always true. While he has always been a cold, calculating man, there was a time when he was a far smaller player in the game. Those years are known for bringing about dozens of terrifying things into our realm: Kaine's children.
How many has he had at this point? It's unknown how many offspring he has produced. What is known is that they're spread all across the known regions of space, and that most, if not all, are powerful force users. Some have yet to show their faces or acknowledge their heritage. That is because many of them do not know. Either their mothers never told them, or their mothers themselves never knew who exactly they laid with. We shall follow the story of one of the former: Vivienne Nevera-Zambrano. It isn't known when or why her parents were together. All that is known is that it was just over twenty years before the Netherworld Rapturing. As far as the records show there was no romance whatsoever involved on either side. No, it was a union of attraction, of passion. Nothing more and nothing less, as was expected.
Overall it was over as quickly as it had begun. Or perhaps not, considering a pregnancy came out of it. Nine months after the single encounter a childe was born. She was named after her grandmother. Little is remembered about the next five years. Besides it being important for Kaine, of course. It wasn't until she was five that things really got... interesting. Vivienne's mother grew wary of her partner, knowing that he was becoming more dangerous by the day, and hearing that he was looking for other offspring of his. Paranoia (and madness) consumed the woman. Three years were spent accumulating funds for 'the well being' of her daughter. As the time passed the girl was given less and less freedom until she wasn't allowed to leave the house. Eventually she was confined to the basement. Once a month she was shown the outside.
On her eighth birthday she was frozen in carbonite.
PRE-ARC 2: NETHERWORLD
Twelve years passed without anything happening. At least not to her. Both of her parents went through drastic changes- her mother being locked in a looney bin, her father ascending to the throne. All the while she sat, unmoving, ungrowing, inside a block, trapped in her own home. No one had use for the old building, so none came in, none entered the lower levels. Even if they had... she was locked away. Her mother had more than one secret to hide. Vivienne was simply the only one of importance. Everything else mattered little in the scale of things. A dozen years was a long time to be alone. It was a long time for secrets to fade into obscurity.
In the year of 844 ABY a apocalypse level event occurred: Akala's Netherworld Rapturing. Billions were summoned to Chaos all at once, vanishing in an instant, without any sort of warning. What remained entered a state of mass hysteria. Governments collapsed, planets turned to war, and factions scrambled to both gain land and to restore order. Meanwhile, inside hell, those who had been called forth tried to find some way to escape. Others rejoiced in the bloodshed found inside. Sith and Jedi alike were forced to work together in order to take the Goddess down. Eventually they did, allowing everyone to go back to where they belonged. But what about Vivienne? How did she fit into all of that mess?... She was set free.
Being raptured is considered unlucky. But being raptured took both her and her prison, transporting her into a seemingly serene garden. Had she been stuck in the blood wastes or river 'styx' instead... she'd probably still be there. However, the girl had a stroke of luck (for once in her life). A kindly Jedi Master had awoken not far from her. Once she saw the trapped youngster... how could she leave her there? The woman had rushed forward, started to shut down the machine, and waited for the girl to unfreeze. What happened next is still quite a blur for the duo. Somewhere along the way a nervous Vivienne (who was blindly trusting her savior) was attacked, her kneecap shattered harshly. That forced the Jedi to carry her the rest of the way. Somehow the two managed to escape hell. By the time they emerged things had started settling down.
Together they traveled to Ossus, seeing as neither knew anywhere else to go. The young Zambrano was accepted into the order with welcome arms. That was, of course, before anyone heard her utter her true last name. Would things have changed if they knew who her father was?... Maybe. But the truth was that even she didn't know. All she knew was that her mother said that he had been a good man. If only her mother had remembered to add 'once' to the end of that sentence. Perhaps then her daughter wouldn't dream of a glorious, righteous warrior who fought for the good of the galaxy. Oh well. It's to late now.
ARC 1: FINDING FAMILY {CURRENT}
And so the journey begins with a terrified childe, taken to a strange place, unaware of her heritage, clueless to the target already on her head. Blissfully unknowing of the fate that had latched it's horrid arms around her.

CHAPTER 4: FINISHING TOUCHES
STRENGTHS:
A Voice Like No Other:
When you meet a quiet person, you rarely expect them to have power with their voice. If they they so rarely use it... how could they be able to use it well? There are various answers. Ours, in this case, is "You simply aren't there to hear them". Even when no one is around to hear the tree fall, the tree still, quite obviously, takes sounds. Few have ever heard the young Nevera child sing. Those that have will tell you that the music she emits is one of the most wondrously beautiful things that they have ever heard. Her tones can calm others down, they can send chills down your spine or distract you, and they can, when necessary, make some quick credits.
Well-Versed In The Art Of Shutting Up:
As mentioned previously most children are quite loud. Obnoxious as well, rambunctious, and disorderly. Generally they're unnecessarily difficult to control or work with. Sometimes even Jedi younglings are that way! But then there's Vivienne, a technically twenty and technically eight (at the same time) year old girl who is quite collected. Rarely does she flinch or scowl, nor does she often cry out or yell, only her mother has ever witness a tantrum- and that was only once. By all means she is one of the most tolerable kids this galaxy has seen. However, her seemingly peaceful nature should not be mistaken for lethargy or apathy. She cares, she simply doesn't feel the need to let the entire universe know how much she does.
Shield Maiden In Training:
Some people are born with natural affinity for high-power force skills. They can summon storms, see the past with a simple touch, or weave magic into anything they wish. Then there are those who are simple. Normal. Plain. Lastly there are some who, while their gifts are not rare, are drawn towards certain abilities. This is the case for Vivienne Nevera-Zambrano who is, near literally, a shield. The young girl has an innate capability for 'force shield' and 'force body'. Where others would fall or break, she will stand, absorbing energy or blows that could potentially kill her otherwise. At the moment she's untrained, however, and works more on instinct then anything else.
Pain Isn't That Bad:
There are two ways, generally, to withstand attacks in a fight. Method A: Act like a tank. A literal tank. Have heavy armor or a naturally thick hide. Protect yourself with durasteel plates or shield yourself with the force. Let them hit you, just don't let it hurt you. Method B: Act like you're impassive. One of the definitions of impassive is 'unable to feel pain'. Make it seem like you don't feel the hits, the cuts, the bruises lining your body. Let them hit you, but let them think you're made of beskar. Never let them know that you aren't. Do more than tolerate discomfort. You must embrace it. This is what Vienne often do without realizing it. Getting scraped or scratched doesn't bother her in the slightest. It takes a fair amount of damage to get her to scream or cry out loud.
WEAKNESSES:
Naturally Unlucky, Call It A Curse:
A lot of people don't believe in such a thing as fate. Others simply call it 'the will of the force'. There are, however, a large amount of people who simply trust in odds, luck, and karma. Bad things come to bad people, good things come to good people, though at times people are burned at the stake for the sins of their fathers. This seems to fit Vivienne's case. While she is to young to have truly done wrong, her family is known for it's horrid acts, it's madness, it's complete corruptness. If karma exists... then she's the punishment given to some of the most terrifying Sith Lords known to the universe... by extension. In summary: She's extraordinarily unlucky.
Physically Weak:
Both Firrerreos and Epicanthix are known for being quite strong. What happens when you mix the two? Obviously the resulting spawnling is going to have super strength and be all muscular and- oh. Not so, apparently. Fusing two different species comes with varying levels of success. In the case of Vivienne, her muscles are actually underdeveloped due to genetic malfunctions. Paired with her lack of medication for this, her not active lifestyle (hiding, being frozen for twelve years, that sort of thing), and her young age, and you have a girl that couldn't throw a punch to save her life. While she has one thick hide, don't expect her to be able to break through yours any time soon- if ever. It would take a lot of Doctors to fix her body... if it's not already to late.
Getting Attached Is Easy, Letting Go Is Hard:
You'd think that after losing everyone close to them, a person would distance themselves from everyone they met afterwards. Makes sense, right? That kind of pain isn't easily forgotten. Whether or not your brain realizes it... it will generally try to avoid a repeat of that agony. Once in while there will be a person so intent on preventing that misery that they will run towards it in the hopes that if they do it right they won't get hurt again. If they can just... control it. Vivienne has had her share of rocky relationships (friends + family). Despite that the child is surprisingly quick to emotionally bond with someone (even if one-sided). Getting her to let go of that bond, however, is incredibly difficult on multiple levels.
I Took An Bolt To The Knee:
Once upon a time Vivienne was a great adventurer, traveling all over Panatha, running amok. Yes, once she was a nomad like you, until she took a blaster bolt to the knee. Ever since then she's- okay. Not really. There's only a sliver of truth in this half-done folk tale of lies. At some point in the Nevera's lifetime she was definitely active and energetic. However, when she escaped the Netherworld (with the aid of a Jedi), she suffered a harsh break to her kneecap. Unfortunately it wasn't treated very quickly, and the wound healed incorrectly. Nothing has been done to fix it yet. It should be noted that while the bits of pain she feels doesn't bother her, unsurprisingly, the old injury still makes it harder to walk, run, or move around in general.
WHAT HELPS BUT HARMS:
Another Zambrano Child:
Family names can do a lot for someone. Are you a Skywalker? Congrats, everyone expects you to be an epic Jedi and all the Sith either want to kill you or corrupt you. Related to Revan?... Well, at this point, a lot of people are. Not really much to brag about. The more recent the House came to glory, the more attention, both positive and negative, people from that House will get. Think about it. What are the first names that come to mind? It didn't take you long to get to Zambrano, now did it? Now... how does that name make you feel? Angry? Scared? Proud? Disgusted? Any of those reactions are understandable. Zambranos are both feared and loved. Vivienne feels the full effects of this... along with the powerful blood rushing through her veins.
Once More With Heritage, Reprise
When you take to completely different species and... breed them, the results are often very, very bad. While the spawnling receives positive traits from both parents it (obviously) receives the negative ones as well. Firrerthix are known to be especially prone to defects. Vivienne is no exception. Her mutant nature has (so far) prevented her muscles from fully developing, leaving her weak, while medical devices have issues understanding her biology unless programmed for someone of her kind. In addition the third pair of eyelids that Firrerreo's are known for never finished growing (it's unknown whether or not they will). This left them half done, giving partial protection, but can get 'stuck' forcing her to spend ten seconds on blinking/rubbing her eyes so she can see again. Her only 'consolation' prize comes in a partial resistance to mental attacks and an increase in healing time.
And A Child In General:
One day you're wandering around your home world. Everything is normal. Then you see a... kid. Just a kid. Wearing normal clothes. What do you do? Chances are you ignore them, because, well, they're just a youngster. What harm could they possibly pose? Maybe you're underestimating them. Letting your guard down. Or maybe their age simply means that, in your mind, you are definitely their boss. You can at least acknowledge that they'd be able to fit through smaller spaces than you, right? Okay. Good. I was worried for a second. Being a child means that Vivienne gets underestimated, but also has a huge restriction in freedom. Completely understandable! Even if she's technically twenty... she's also technically eight. Yay?...
Stubborn As Chaos:
How many times has this been brought up? Who, of those who claim to be 'stubborn as hell' actually are? Did they refuse to die even while bleeding and falling apart? Did they last years after everyone said they would? When someone gave them friendship, did they still hold their grudges close, never letting anyone break down that wall?... Maybe Vivienne hasn't done that yet. If she's lucky she never will. But who has? [member="Drapeam Nyx"]. One of the few people that the youngling has interacted with since her arrival on Ossus. And when you learn from the best... you have a pretty damn good chance of becoming the next best. Already at eight years old she's shown signs of being just as Stone-willed as her 'master' was.
FIVE THINGS YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VIVIENNE:
  • Behind The Name: There's both slightly more and slightly less to this lass' name than you might think! Seeing as she's a Zambrano, I figured a good 'ol fancy first name would work best. Or at least something that sounded sophisticated. After watching Cryaotic play TWAU I settled on the name "Vivienne". Rai is in honor of an old friend of mine, while 'Nevera' is short for 'Neverant', the name of a magnificent creature in a story I've been working on with a friend.
  • Playby Information: Currently only one person has been used as a face claim for Vivi- fan made art of Arya Stark from A Song Of Ice And Fire. Currently no images from the TV adaptation (simply known as Game of Thrones) have been used, nor are there any lined up to be used. There are, however, several other characters lined up to be used for older versions of her. These will be added later.
  • Literal Shield: I've wanted to make a character that wasn't very good at throwing punches for awhile. Most of my alts are either capable of breaking bones in one hit or at least capable of winning fist fights. Hence Vivienne's reversal of this- her only way of striking back is through words or cyrokinesis (the control of ice). Besides that she can only take hits. She is a shield. Are you the blade?
  • The Opposite Of Nyx: You may know my alt Drapeam Nyx. And if you know her, you probably remember some of the many times I mentioned how 'the story goes where the story goes'. Everything about her character after the initial creation was unplanned. Things simply went where they went based off how others treated her, who she made friends with, and what situations arose. This time around, however, I'm doing the opposite. A large portion of Vivenne's near-end-game is already plotted out. All that's there to wonder about is how she'll get there.
  • Timing Of Creation: At this point it's unknown when the original concept for Vienne came into my mind. However, the subaccount name change was done on 3/29/15, while the biography was started on 4/1/15. Not the best time to start such a thing, eh? The main portion was written on 4/13/15, while the bio was eventually posted on 4/14/15.

Pathetic.

That's not exactly good parenting, Miss. And ten is still along time! I haven't even been awake for that long...
